Bungalow holiday rentals in Cook Islands

My family (including toddler) and I absolutely loved our stay at Natura Lagoon Bungalow. What a treat. The location is what makes this place 10/10. Pristine swimming right in front of the house. Kayaks and swimming equipment (including reef shoes, life jackets and snorkel gear) is a huge plus as are the provided beach towels. Aircon and in-room fans worked a treat. Comfy beds. Full kitchen allowed us to make some meals which saved on eating out. Tuaine, the host was lovely and responsive. We can’t wait to come back and would absolutely recommend. Thank you

'Right on the beach' is exactly accurate - secluded and private enough behind some trees/shade with direct access to the sand and sea, but just down a bit from the hustle and bustle of Muri's denser part, so a perfect spot for swimming, lounging, walking or getting to amenities, but away from the noise and foot traffic. The place is basic with enough of what is needed to self-cater and it's airy enough without AC (fans are efficient). Value for money!

We really enjoyed our stay. The beach is super beautiful and you are practically alone there. Unfortunately, you can't go straight into the water there but have to walk a bit. However, this didn't bother us. The bungalow is very well located and you can rent a scooter right next door and there is also a delicious cafe/restaurant there. The host was super friendly and helped us book the tours and gave us lots of other valuable tips. We can highly recommend this Airbnb.

We had a rocky start due to a late arrival and phone issues... when a lovely local helped me hotspot my phone so I could let Lotu know we were lost she responded immediately that she was coming to get us. What a lovely, helpful, welcoming lady, any worries I had vanished immediately and she was always quick to help us anytime we had a question or needed support. The location was absolutely idyllic! Lots of space for everyone inside, the beds were super comfortable, lovely big deck to relax outdoors, comfy sun loungers, we watched whales every day from our backyard, walked on the beach, swam, and found some great spots for snorkeling just 10minutes walk along the beach. There were great restaurants and bars within walking distance and some really interesting shops and stalls. We loved our holiday and would absolutely stay there again!!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! A beautiful beachfront bungalow, very clean and equipped with everything you need in a home away from home. Located on the West side of the island, captures the beautiful sunsets in the evening with a short walk to the restaurants along the beach. A great place to stay. Close to town, walkable, shops and cafes within easy reach. Looking out directly to the lagoon every morning watching the whales every day was a real treat. Ian’s help with local resources and the time he spent explaining and showing us about coconuts etc and the conservation efforts being made around the island gave valuable insight into what is happening in Rarotonga. The bungalow was simple and clean, perfect for what we needed. Would stay again.

Teiaraia is an entertaining and generous host and the little house on the waterfront is perfect for its closeness to the shops and restaurants of the main township on Aitutaki. It is part of a family business that includes a cafe where delicious burgers are served. one of the things we really enjoyed was the feeling that we were staying somewhere that allowed us to get a feel for real life on Aitutaki. there are some beautiful resorts and great places to eat (Tavake Cafe and Avatea strongly recommended) but it is also a place where people live normal daily lives. we enjoyed the tiny insights onto those lives in this remote and breathtakingly beautiful and relaxing place. we very much appreciated that Teiaraia is willing to rent a car and bicycle and that airport pickup and drop-off is part of the deal. Meitaki maata.

As it was my partners first time to Aitutaki, Eileen’s residence allowed that island-feel vibe where we were able to absorb the island at our own pace. We weren’t rushed for room service or the breakfast buffet or with family arrangements. No. We soaked Aitutaki slowly but surely. It’s nicely surrounded by nature which allows some privacy from the busy road but not too far to hop to the shop. We made friends with Chad (the goat) and enjoyed making memories. Thank you Eileen for your warm hospitality - will definitely be returning back to you for future Aitutaki plans :)

This Airbnb was perhaps the best we’ve stayed at - excellent guest experience and hosts! A beautiful time hideaway perfect for the trip we needed. Could not recommend this more.

The little cottage is absolutely gorgeous! It has a stunning lagoon/sunrise view that will keep you on the balcony all day long! Pira was so nice, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. We hired a motorbike via Pira, making it easier to travel around the island. Just one downside: the shower head's water pressure is not strong enough, and it would be great if shampoo and conditioner were provided. Definitely recommend this place to everyone!

We have just had 7 idyllic days and nights at Emm’s Reihana cottage. Everything was amazing! You are literally staying right on the most beautiful and peaceful beach in a prime location. Just step off the deck and snorkel off the beach right outside the house! Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The night market is 100m walk which was perfect for dinner most nights. Great coffee, wifi and filtered water over the road at the museum. Emm was warm and friendly, and happy to help as well as respecting our space. The cottage is sparkling clean, the fans kept us cool at night, the linen all awesome. We loved every moment. Thanks so much Emm, we will be back

Highly recommend! Was a really pleasant stay especially with such a helpful host! The house looks exactly like the photo and the inside was super clean. It has everything equipped for daily living and every detail made our life so convenient during our stay! Supreme location with nearby supermarket and stores. Sylvana was an amazing host, very friendly and attentive!!

This is a wonderful place. Quiet, fully-functional, clean, with a covered porch surrounded by vegetation, bus station nearby, and only a short walk to a beach great for snorkeling. Nev and Debbie are superb hosts - helpful, friendly, extremely responsive. We would return here often and recommend it enthusiastically.

We absolutely loved our time at this beautiful little home. I would highly recommend if you have a family as it's a great size for everyone to have their own space after a day's adventure. The kayaks are an awesome feature, there a life jackets available to share with the other home as well. If you want somewhere that feels like the 'real' Rarotonga I highly recommend! PS. Tuaine is very responsive. The batteries on the heat pump died and some replacement ones were delivered that morning. PPS. There are heaps of towels provided!

We had a great time staying at Vaea’s bungalow. Very peaceful place and a great setup with nice private spots to sit on the deck and on the beach loungers and hammock. Everything made easy with airport pickup, quick tour around the area, scooters available for rental on site, and airport dropoff. We did the private lagoon tour with her husband Marokii which was amazing, highly recommend!
