Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in Connecticut River

Staying at Gail's place was a treat. I came durring the off-season which was quiet and peaceful. Most of the resort area is closed outside winter and summer but there is a small market open during the day for convieniences. It's also a short drive away from many small towns. Standouts were Stowe and Waterbury which were wonderful to visit. There are so many trails to checkout in the area. Hiking up the mountain just outside the apartment is great and has an amazing view at sunset. Camels hump and various trails in the notch were awesome. It was even close enough where I took a day trip into the White Mountains. I stayed for 27 days. Durring the week I work remotely. The internet was enough for large conference calls with video during the day and I had no issues. In the evening there is a noticible slowdown. The Wifi is shared throughout the resort. The kitchen was easy to work with. And when you open the balcony door there is a small stream that offers fantastic white noise.

Great place. Host was very responsive and welcoming. Place was homey and very clean. Loved the location - quiet but right in town, local restaurants within walking distance. Lots of little extras that made it feel very comfortable and put a smile our faces. Thank you.

This was our 2nd time staying at a unit hosted by ace on this resort and we will definitely return again! You get that private feel of a home with all the benefits of a hotel, not to mention beautiful Mountain Views when you step right out the door! Great location, 15 mins from Conway and we drove 30 min the other direction for the Mount Washington tour drive and we still wish we could’ve stayed longer. Our dog was more than welcome for a small pet fee. Highly recommend!!

The place was so clean, quiet and peaceful. Secluded but so much to do in a short area. Can’t say enough good things. Will be coming back.

We returned for a second visit, which really says it all! We love this place. The condo has everything we need and is very comfortable. Our kids love the bunk beds and we love sitting on the balcony and listening to the river bubble by. It's close to so many things in the White Mountains. Lincoln and North Woodstock are our hub for restaurants, and the wider area offers lots to do. We look forward to our next visit!

Our family enjoyed our stay at Rafael's condo. The space was very clean and comfy, and exactly matched the description and photos posted here. The fireplace was a great draw, too. If you're planning on skiing at Mt. Snow, the Moover shuttle bus stop is located right outside of this building, which made for a very convenient and quick way to get to Mt. Snow for my family of 4. We would certainly stay here again in the future.

Rick's place was exactly the kinda of peaceful getaway that we were looking for. There is so much to do in the area you can't do it all in one stay. We can't wait to come back and stay again. He was very understanding for the need of my wife's service dog and there were no issues all weekend! If you're looking for a nice stress free getaway and deal with a host who knows his stuff, is responsive, and understanding then all you need to book with Rick!

We had a wonderful stay at this Air Bnb. A lot of privacy and full access to any amenities that we needed. Everything was up to date and well put together. Our only issue was someone was walking around with a flashlight late at night, not sure if it was a security guard or whatnot but they got into our backyard and around the house so it seemed a little off. Other than that it was everything we wanted.

We are a family of four and we stayed for four nights. It was larger than we expected and we were all quite comfortable. We loved that we could ski, swim, and have dinner without getting into our car on an extremely frigid (-17 degree windchill) day! It was a fun atmosphere and we loved our stay!

The view is spectacular!!!!I could not stop looking at the view,the condo flat was clean and comfortable and the hot tub was perfect .Highly recommend .

We were extremely pleased with Shinto and his house. The house and the surrounding area were more beautiful than the pictures could capture. Shinto was a very accommodating and I couldn’t ask for a better host. Will definitely be returning asap!

We LOVED: 1) The location! The driveway is long & sand/gravel but you could drive it in a sedan fine. 2) The amenities! The pack n play was a HUGE lifesaver! 3) This location is mostly child friendly. 4) The view is phenomenal! When we woke up & opened the curtains for the first time, we were in awe! 5) The host was extremely helpful. The hot water went out once, but she was over in 5 minutes to fix it. Some feedback: 1) The windows in the ceiling in the master bed! They're HUGE and BRIGHT. 2) The bugs. Ants. Spiders. It was a struggle. NOW I WILL SAY - I brought this up to the host on day 3 and they were more than willing to come help how they could. The house is located in the middle of the forest, but it was a lot. If it weren't for an m&m left under the nightstand in the bedroom by a previous guest, it probably wouldn't have been so bad. 3) the coffee maker was pretty rough when we got there.. a simple over site by the crew. Overall, I would definitely consider this location again

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Big Red house in New London! The host, Chris, was so helpful in working with our dates. We traveled to New London for my mother-in-law's celebration of life, and I could not think of a better place to stay with my family and close family friends. The children (and adults!) enjoyed the game room and other amenities such as the screened porch and hot tub. We would have used the sauna/cold plunge if we had more time. The house was spacious, comfortable, and very private but easy access and close to downtown New London which was perfect for us. Again, I must highlight how gracious and helpful the host was - it was one of the best experiences I had so far with Airbnb. Please consider staying here - you will love it!

The house is beautiful and the views are just breathtaking. From inside the house, you get a beautiful view of the lake and then the porch is amazing. You can kayak, use the paddle board or use the canoe. You can also sit by the lake and enjoy the campfire. The surroundings are very beautiful and peaceful. The host is very responsive, solved all our doubts and was flexible with us during check-in and check-out, which we appreciated very much. At check-in, we were greeted by a great bottle of wine and chocolates, which was a great touch. The house also has a ping pong table, books to read and board games. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics. We had an amazing stay, we highly recommend this property :)

We really enjoyed our time at Elizabeth Jane's place. The home is spacious and quaint, with nice furnishings, a tasteful colonial feel and easy access to downtown Litchfield and the Berkshires. The bucolic setting is lovely - scenic, relaxing and peaceful.

Lovely home and communicative hosts! The house was very clean and comfortable as well as the back deck and yard. Felt very comfortable and very close to beach (though ended up being a rainy weekend so we didn’t get to go to beach). Close to Dockside Brewery which had great views and tons of tables and a few little stores within walking distance for convenience items

We were on a multigenerational trip where everyone was stunned at the outset by the luxurious feel of this property. The decor is impeccable yet warm and inviting. The layout worked perfectly with some enjoying the wood burning fireplace while others watched movies in the study/tv room. We grilled one night and at every meal we were able to enjoy the beautiful mountain ridge view. Our dog enjoyed long games of fetch on the well maintained lawn at the front of the property. Finally, Upstate Place was an absolute joy to work with.
