Lake house holiday rentals in Coniston Water

Great two day stay for our family of four. The place is right near Turf Moor in a clean and light area. The space is recently renovated and bright. And the host is very responsive to any needs that arise. Great stay. Thank you.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Abbots Moss. It was last minute (same day booking) and everything was ready and in order. The house was definitely a home away from home which is exactly what I am looking for. We have two children and a very well behaved golden - all loved the location and the house. The grounds and lake are exquisite and so peaceful. The lounge area was beautifully decorated with sofas I would purchase for my own home. Linens are also something I look for and the beds were all lovely. We enjoyed the area, eating out at some local recommendations, visiting Hadrian's Wall, completing our first family Wainwright summit! Thank you Tamar. We would love to return!

We really enjoyed our stay - close to Ulverston, the Priory and many places we aimed to see during our visit. Lindsay corresponded quickly. The house is very comfortable, very clean and nicely decorated as in the photos - we wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you Lindsay. :)

Beautiful boathouse overlooking the lake, stunning views

Had a wonderful weekend stay at Forest Way with a group of friends. House was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We had everything we needed and more. The bed was the most comfortable ever. The amount of space everywhere was lovely, whether you wanted to watch tv or sit quietly somewhere and read a book. A beautiful view with the bar/boathouse and hot tub an added bonus. Even a wee rowing boat if you fancy a trip out onto the lake which we couldn’t do as unfortunately it rained most of the time! Can’t control the Scottish weather 😂 Pam and her husband were very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. They were there to great us and show us round the house and to wave us goodbye when we left. Hopefully we will return.

Amazing place to stay in the Lake District. A group of friends and I stayed here for 4 nights whilst we were exploring the Lake District and it was the perfect place to stay for what we needed. Great location with amazing views over Morecambe bay and plenty of things to do. The property was immaculate and very spacious. Cleanliness was not an issue. Our host was also very easy to contact and communicate with. I would most definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the Lake District. The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

A lovely place hidden away off the A66, easily within range of Keswick and a great number of Northern Lakes Wainwirights. Comfortable and a haven away from some typical Lakeland weather!

Excellent location, very tranquil with views of the fells. Very convenient for walking the main peaks. The house was as described, the beds very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. There were even some teabags and cooking oil there which i had forgotten to bring! Hilary was super helpful and always responded promptly to our queries. The only downside of the house is the size of the downstairs rooms. It was perfect for us as a party of four, but larger groups might struggle to fit everyone into just one living room or eating area, although there is plenty of both across all the downstairs rooms. We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The location is idyllic and very peaceful and there are many wonderful walks from the cottage so once there you don’t need to use the car. The bedrooms are lovely and the beds very comfortable and the kitchen had the items we needed to make our stay easy. We would definitely stay again. Thanks Alex

Elisabeth's property is a great place located in a beautiful area, that is extremely close to shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. Located close to Skiddaw and Lake Derwent, you can leave the house and chose a hike of your choice. The house is equipped with everything you need and I will be looking to return when back in the area.

Such a beautiful place to stay - incredible views and so peaceful - just birdsong. The house was perfect - super comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, warm and clean. Thank you for the lovely bread too - such a nice touch. Would very much recommend.

I would thoroughly recommend this property. It was immaculately clean and well equipped. We had a problem with the shower and David got back to me in minutes sorting it out. The location is quiet, in beautiful countryside within easy reach of the lakes and sea, and with easy parking outside the house.

Had a great stay at this Airbnb. Was a great place for friends and was close to the village, about a 5 min walk. The village has a lot going on with quite a few places to eat and drink and was close to the lake. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to cook and could easily drive to walks that we wanted to do. We also had a bit of an emergency and we asked if we could check out later. The host was happy to accommodate this in the circumstances which was super helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely location right by Scafell (30 mins from start car park) lovely dog walks out the front door onto the beach. Ideal for our trip - secure garden and dog friendly!

The pictures really don’t do it any justice. It was such a lovely place with the most incredible views. Beds were comfortable, kitchen fully equipped, lovely living room with a fire, dinning room and snug and some games which were great fun. Bedrooms had the best views. We had some walks down to the river and had day trips out from there. Great location. Had a relaxing time and will definitely return.

Annabel is a great person and very helpful. She suggested few places to visit, which comes out worthy to visit. She is very responsive with all of our questions. I definitely want to visit this place again soon. It’s a perfect getaway from crowds and spend some time with nature without any disturbances.

Great place to stay. Perfect location. Useful to know: The house has 3 floors. The bathroom is on the top floor. There is an additional shower room off the kitchen.

Cameron was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We loved the local beer and biscuits he prepared for us—such a thoughtful touch! We truly enjoyed our time here and only wish we could have stayed longer. A fantastic place overall!

The accomodation was clean and tidy and very spacious. Beds were lovely and comfortable. It had all the amenties you would want including a washer and dishwasher and a lovely added touch was the complimentary washing up pack which also included dish washer tablets. Would highly recommend and woukd definately book again

Great stay at The Old Schoolhouse. This was a family holiday with three generations of our lovely family. Emma's home was perfect, especially the five on Suite bathrooms (there were 10 in party and a dog). The highlight for our evening entertainment was the pool table which brought out our competitive element. The bbq also gave us another alternative for our evening meal, along with two village restaurants we visited and the fish and chip shop. All in all we had a fabulous time and can fully recommend The Old School House.

Very good, has everything we need, clean, owner is quick to respond, free parking, convenient, easy to walk to various places. Highly recommended.
