We were pleasantly surprised by the little community there and especially the restaurant when we arrived rather late. Our hosts were very accommodating and pleasant. We would definitely rebook.

We cannot say enough great things about my stay at Sophie’s place — it was truly exceptional from start to finish. Sophie was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and responsive, making us feel at home the moment we arrived. Her hospitality set the tone for a warm and relaxing experience. The place itself was spotless. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, making it both cozy and beautifully maintained. It felt like a home away from home, with all the little touches that make a big difference — from linens to a well-equipped kitchen and inviting decor. The location was perfect — quiet and peaceful, centrally located to the Normandy sites. We appreciated how easy it was to get around. We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful and peaceful countryside of Normandy. The Gite was perfect for us and our 19 month old son and we really appreciated the cot, high chair and stair gates provided. We were extremely lucky with the weather so enjoyed the amazing pool and played many games of Pétanque. Highly recommend and we would love to return.

We are delighted with our stay at this property. The house is spacious, well laid out, with several bathrooms and we were able to enjoy it without stepping on each other (6 adults and 6 children including 2 babies). The accommodation is clean, many amenities are offered (2 high chairs, a baby bath, a washing machine, a dryer, deckchairs, books, etc.). The exteriors are also perfectly maintained, with a large, fully enclosed plot. It is ideally located, close to the city center of Dives and a short half-hour walk from the city center of Cabourg. Regarding the hosts, 5/5 as well: available, responsive and accommodating! We'll be happy to go back!

There is one *major* problem that you will see the moment you enter the property: you will **never** (ever) want to leave. You may even start thinking through how you can leave your day job and move to Port-en-Bessin. The home itself is amazing. The top of our list after over a dozen Airbnbs in the last few years. It's everything they show online... and SO MUCH MORE! It's like living in a Normandy postcard. The house itself is awesome. Amazing. Spotless. Beautifully decorated and appointed. SUPER well equipped. The town is also amazing. It's the perfect home base for exploring the D-Day beaches/sites. Look... you'd be CRAZY not to book this property. So... what are you waiting for? Small, very charming house, renovated with great taste, with its small private garden. Very quiet neighborhood. Location for the car but otherwise space to park. Very good bedding, there is absolutely nothing missing in the house to have a very good stay. 10 min walk to the small port, ideal for a small aperitif in the evening, with shops and restaurants. People are welcoming and friendly. A Super U 5 minutes away by car, great for shopping. Very well located for visiting the landing beaches, close to Bayeux and Caen, 1 hour and 20 minutes from Mont Saint-Michel. Julien gave us very good advice for things not to miss in the area, thank you. Without knowing it, we arrived during the weekend of Pentecost, when the 81st anniversary of the landing was taking place in all the villages, with all these people dressed as Allied soldiers, the girls dressed in period costume, parades of jeeps, motorcycles, and tanks, things that we will never see again. Our stay was great.

We had a wonderful family vacation in this very nice house. Everything is available and furnished with great attention to detail. The two bathrooms should certainly be overhauled in the foreseeable future, but this has not detracted from the charm of the house. The property and the garden as well as the location of the house in a tiny village resemble a small paradise. It is only a short distance to Port en Bessin, the place with its harbor is beautiful. Many thanks to the landlords and also to the weather god, who gave us a week of France in the sunshine.

we would highly recommend staying here, our hosts François and Judith were very friendly and welcoming. An informative detailed plan for the DDay beaches was provided by Francois. lovely flat perfectly located for easy walk into Bayeux. there is a Saturday market 5 mins away, typically French. Our host was always happy to help with info and advice. we will definitely be back and recommend to family and friends.

This is a great little house. It's just like its just like its described in the photos and description. It was easy to find and the check in instructions were clear. The host met me shortly after I arrived and showed me around. They even popped back in on the second day when I couldn't manage to work the TV- which we easily sorted. It's a short walk into the town which has a bunch of great little restaurants and shops. It's very close to Omaha Beach and the other D Day sites. I would definitely recommend this place to other guests.

Stayed here for the 2nd time and it remains an absolutely wonderful house. Great view where you can quietly see the tides of the sea come and go in absolute peace. Regardless of the weather, this is a fantastic house, in nice weather on the terrace and with some rain a block of wood in the stove and nice in the living room stay.

What a gem this house is! The house was full of charm and nice touches, with a beautiful and spacious backyard garden. Our family enjoyed the history of the area--an easy walk to the Baterie--and its proximity to Bayeux.

My family of five (three of them young children) stayed here for a few days during a three week journey around Europe. It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to visit the D-Day sites and this home made our stay 100% enjoyable. It is my favorite AirBnB I have ever stayed in. It was perfectly clean, had everything we could have thought we needed, and the location was absolutely perfect. Thank you for letting us stay in such an amazing place!

We had an exceptional stay at Chantal and Jean's Charle. Their warm welcome made us feel immediately well. The accommodation, spacious and clean is perfect for relaxing in a quiet setting. Its location is ideal for exploring the region, with nearby restaurants, including Arromanches-sur-Mer and Bayeux, only 5 km away. Every morning, Chantal and Jean Charle prepared us a delicious breakfast, highlighting fresh products, accompanied of an excellent homemade cake. A big thank you to our hosts for their generosity and for making our stay so memorable!

We had a short but truly lovely stay! A perfect place for our family--we could all spread out a bit after a week sharing hotel rooms. Loved the location--the views were charming. Proximity to Bayeux was excellent--less than a five minute drive to the town center parking lots. Very clean, clear instructions, and thoughtfully stocked kitchen (though we didn't cook!). Very clean, functional and well-equipped accommodation even for a stay with young children. Port accessible on foot in a few minutes (7-8 min) and supermarket a few minutes walk away too. Small downside on the ground which is not safe for young children but having stayed in November it did not impact us. Communication with Hugo is very simple and quick response.

Great place for our group of 2 families with 10 people total. The home was well-equipped and we had a very nice stay.
