For a stay in Normandy, this is the ideal rental, located between Mont St Michel, St-Malo on one side and the landing beaches, Caen, Deauville, Etretat etc. on the other. Philippe welcomed us upon our arrival with kindness, a small bottle of cider in the fridge as a welcome. He listened to us in relation to what we wanted to visit and sent us good detailed addresses throughout our stay on the different visits and dining places and various things to do in the area. We were pleasantly surprised by the little community there and especially the restaurant when we arrived rather late. Our hosts were very accommodating and pleasant. We would definitely rebook.

What an amazing place the pictures don’t do it justice. There was everything you need and more, it is very well equipped, from kitchen equipment, pool equipment and everyday necessities! We have two young boys and everything you require is already there. Our boys loved it, especially the play area and pool. Lovely hosts, lovely home and very clean and tidy If we are in the area again in the future we would no doubt book this again.

We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful and peaceful countryside of Normandy. The Gite was perfect for us and our 19 month old son and we really appreciated the cot, high chair and stair gates provided. We were extremely lucky with the weather so enjoyed the amazing pool and played many games of Pétanque. Highly recommend and we would love to return.

Extended weekend at the top, with equipment suitable for the whole family. I highly recommend it for families or friends. relaxation and greenery guaranteed, with the sea 15 minutes away by car.

We are delighted with our stay at this property. The house is spacious, well laid out, with several bathrooms and we were able to enjoy it without stepping on each other (6 adults and 6 children including 2 babies). The accommodation is clean, many amenities are offered (2 high chairs, a baby bath, a washing machine, a dryer, deckchairs, books, etc.). The exteriors are also perfectly maintained, with a large, fully enclosed plot. It is ideally located, close to the city center of Dives and a short half-hour walk from the city center of Cabourg. Regarding the hosts, 5/5 as well: available, responsive and accommodating! We'll be happy to go back!

We had an exceptional stay at Chantal and Jean's Charle. Their warm welcome made us feel immediately well. The accommodation, spacious and clean is perfect for relaxing in a quiet setting. Its location is ideal for exploring the region, with nearby restaurants, including Arromanches-sur-Mer and Bayeux, only 5 km away. Every morning, Chantal and Jean Charle prepared us a delicious breakfast, highlighting fresh products, accompanied of an excellent homemade cake. A big thank you to our hosts for their generosity and for making our stay so memorable!

An informative detailed plan for the DDay beaches was provided by Francois. lovely flat perfectly located for easy walk into Bayeux. there is a Saturday market 5 mins away, typically French. Our host was always happy to help with info and advice. we will definitely be back and recommend to family and friends.

What a beautiful home. The location is peaceful and the view of Omaha Beach is incredible through the many windows. The home is beautifully decorated and well equipped with a market conveniently located nearby. We loved using this as a base for exploring the landing beaches, Bayeaux, and Mont St. Michel. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

We’ve visited the area many times staying in BnBs, hotels and hostels. We decided on Airbnb this time and Les Mouettes was just perfect. Caroline and Brice have a lovely place which they look after with pride. It’s very comfortable, spotlessly clean and has everything you need to feel at home. Caroline met us to show us round and as we left, Brice was mowing the grass. A short drive to the Super-U supermarket just outside Port-en-Bessin on the D514 with everything you need. Some nice restaurants in the port. A brilliant base to get to ALL the D-Day landing beaches, memorials and museums as well as Bayeux. If you’re coming from the UK by ferry to Ouistreham, the D514 takes you through the coastal towns and takes less than an hour, familiarises you with the towns along the route and, conveniently takes you all the way to the right-turn onto Rue d’ecole and Les Mouettes! …… and you can call, en route, at the Super-U (a left off the one roundabout outside Port-en-Bessin) to stock up!

There is one *major* problem that you will see the moment you enter the property: you will **never** (ever) want to leave. You may even start thinking through how you can leave your day job and move to Port-en-Bessin. The home itself is amazing. The top of our list after over a dozen Airbnbs in the last few years. It's everything they show online... and SO MUCH MORE! It's like living in a Normandy postcard. The house itself is awesome. Amazing. Spotless. Beautifully decorated and appointed. SUPER well equipped. The town is also amazing. It's the perfect home base for exploring the D-Day beaches/sites. Look... you'd be CRAZY not to book this property. So... what are you waiting for? We had a pleasant stay. The direct view of the beach from the veranda is superb. The apartment is very comfortable and very well equipped. The hosts are available and kind. The only thing that bothered us was the unpleasant smell in the bathroom when we arrived maybe due to a water leak or a lack of ventilation?

We loved our stay and enjoyed the location. Only issue is uber is very limited and no bolt so make sure to use local car rental or taxi services.

We had a short but truly lovely stay! A perfect place for our family--we could all spread out a bit after a week sharing hotel rooms. Loved the location--the views were charming. Proximity to Bayeux was excellent--less than a five minute drive to the town center parking lots. Very clean, clear instructions, and thoughtfully stocked kitchen (though we didn't cook!). We'd definitely return. Thank you for a great stop on our road trip.

We had a lovely stay in this lovely home. Everything you need is there: from a well-equipped kitchen to comfortable beds (2 single and 1 double bed). The garden is truly a gem – large, beautifully landscaped and excellently maintained. Dominique and Sylvie are incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts, who are always ready when you need something. The location is also great: supermarkets, bakery and various attractions are all within walking distance. In short: had a perfect stay, we would love to come back here again!
