It's far from the city, but close to the stars of the night sky. For me, who loves the mountains and likes to go for walks, the Jo Dong-ri Alps is a place where the European Alps are not envious.   Imdo, polished on the 7-800 heights, is a delight to taste. The accommodation is at 450 heights, and it takes 40 minutes to walk to the entrance of the 700 heights promenade, and 5 minutes to drive.   It is best to take a short 5 minute drive up.  The night sky is great and full of stars. If you lie on a weightless chair in the yard and look at the stars, you can see shooting stars and dancing fireflies. It's not crowded with famous tourist attractions or pensions, so it's not crowded. Even if you turn 360 degrees in the courtyard, you can make deep relaxation and memories in the nature where you can see all the mountains. Dongchonjae is located in Seochon Village, very close to Gwanghwamun Square, the center of Gyeongbokgung Palace and Seoul. It consists of Anchae, Sarangchae, and Annex Room. Built in 1939, Dongchonjae It's not a fancy hanok. Seoul City and the government (Korea Tourism Organization) have recognized it as a traditional hanok. Dongchonjae has opened its home by a retired couple and has been operating since October 2020. Guests use 4 rooms, living room (Daecheongmaru), kitchen, 2 bathrooms (inside: shower available, outside: small but showerable), Numaru, and yard. The host lives in Sarangchae and provides breakfast and other services.
