The place is fantastic, same as shown in the pictures and great spot for the Mt. Fuji view. The girl that helped me with the check-in speaks english very well so no problems in terms of communication. Definitely going back!

I definetely recommend this place for everyone who plans to visit Fuji! It takes 17 minutes from kawaguchiko station by walk. K's house super clean, the receptionist are very friendly and helpful. The lounge is also cozy and very clean! You can enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji while sitting in the lounge too🫶🏻

Lovely hostel in a great spot less than a minutes walk away from a stunning view of Mount Fuji, breakfast was recommended at a cafe at check in for a great price and was lovely food in the morning. Very clean shared spaces and a lovely place to spend a night near the mountain! Would highly recommend

A nice accommodation, with a lot of equipment in the kitchen like fresh coffee, snacks etc. The check-in was very flexible and smooth. We were able to reserve a free parking space before checking in. Also the receptionist was very friendly and had a lot of good tips for restaurants and activities in the area. All in all a great and good value stay if you don’t want to spend too much!

It was great because it was exciting that I couldn't find it in a normal place!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hosts are really nice and friendly :-) We faced a situation where we misplaced our keys but the host was really nice about it and offered a different room (for safety reasons) almost immediately after we told her 😊 The kitchen has all the appliances such as kettles, plates, cutlery and a fridge! There are two shower and two toilet cubicles on each level - shampoo and body soap are provided. The lounge area was also very comfortable to hang around. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely stay here again if we ever come back to mt fuji!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Clear instructions, provide local recommendations best place for dine in, best place for walk around and taking picture. The staff was very helpful to assist ur keeping our luggage temporarily due to early check out and we had planned to go somewhere else first. The view in front of the hotel was also beatiful where you can saw mt fuji very clear and beatiful.

All people I met were nice. Fuji view good.

The location of the accommodation is very convenient, with lots of restaurants around and close to the ski resort. The parking lot was large, which was very helpful. The room is very warm and clean, and the cost performance is high. I'd love to go again if I get the chance.

Great she cozy hostel, very professional. staff l Staff were very cool and knowledgeable, and it's a great neighbourhood. The restaurants and cafes all seem excellent and it's 2min to the beautiful castle. I was a bit worried about the bed design and items falling but it turned out fine

I'd is very well located. I would bot necessarily recommend my room, since there are some drawbacks: - the refrigerator makes noise which did interrupted my slept a bit - there are no windows that you can open, or get suffice light from

This was really a good Match to what i was looking for! Clean, friendly , comfortable, modern, aligned to the needs of travelers, silent,… At the period of time when i visited Matoi Hostel, You got a free drink at the nice bar per day. You can Rent easaly a bike and wash your clothes. Supermarktes are just a 3min walk away. Every question was answered very friendly and helpful. You find a lot of Informations about busconnections, nice places to visit,… in the chill area of the kitchen. I can really recomment visiting Matoi Hostel. The only thing you maybe have to consider is, that there are Not many nice places to get by walking short distances. Nice places in the sence of nature, old culture areas, green Parks,…so when you are ok with exploring the area by bike,train, Bus, car, motorcycle - you can find really nice places, go to the mountains,… So @matoi: thank you very much, that you created this nice Place and i wish every traveller a joyful journey :)

The Matoi hostel was a great place to stay, it isn’t too far from Gunma Soja station but they also provide a shuttle bus to get you to the hostel. The staff were very helpful and friendly and gave pretty good recommendations. The hostel itself has a bar on the ground floor of which we got given 4 free drinks tickets which was a greatly appreciated bonus. Thanks for the stay 😁

Really nice place to stay! I appreciated the place having a women’s only dorm, this was my first time staying in a place like this and I feel like that made it a lot more comfortable as I am a young woman myself. The beds were comfortable and the areas to do work or just relax in were very nice. Really close to a lot of great places in nagano

I had a good stay at this hostel. Beds are very close to each other, but because of a well positioned curtain it feels like you have your own tiny room when you're inside. Even though the space is lit up day and night with the curtain closed it's basically entirely dark in your own little area. The bed, shared spaces and especially the restaurant/bar are great, and all facilities were clean and easy to use. It's close to anything you are likely to visit in Nagano and very affordable, would recommend.

Very nice traditional home in FujiYoshida town! The accommodation is in a great location and you can do all the must-see activities in FujiYoshida within an hour's walk. I was very well received and the traditional room was an asset that made me feel even more immersed in my trip to Japan! Recommended
