Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Chimay

Had a wonderful week in the beautiful place on the Maas River Meuse. Summer temperatures at the end of April, early May. The area is beautiful, the lush mountain hills with fresh greenery on the Maas. The house is really a little paradise. We spent a lot of time outside in the beautiful romantically landscaped garden. Bike rides made, hiking trail behind the house over the ridges overlooking the Maas. There are 3 bedrooms all at the top of the house. One bedroom has an adjoining bathroom with toilet. The other bathroom is downstairs with separate toilet. A very well equipped kitchen and lots of possibilities for play. Really had a wonderful week with friends and the place is highly recommended!

Laurence was a fantastic host. The apartment matched the description perfectly, was well equipped, and offered a stunning view with great access to the city. One of my favorite stays to date, highly recommended!

Very spacious house and a huge area, great to stay longer on site. The kitchen equipment is great and also allows cooking for large and hungry groups :) We didn't miss anything, happy to come back!

What a beautiful house, and equipped with every comfort. A well-equipped kitchen, multiple toilets and bathrooms, beautiful bedrooms. The house was very tidy and clean on arrival, but warm and stylish, so we felt immediately at home and at ease. Within walking distance of the restaurants of Bouillon, in the old part, but at the same time quietly located and parking in front of the door. I can't help but highly recommend Sophie's house.

Weekend with friends at the gîte des cigognes really perfect (except the weather but unfortunately Bruno and Brigitte are not to blame😇) The cottage was perfect for accommodating our 3 young children, everything was thought of to be able to come almost empty-handed in terms of accessories. The cottage is quiet, which allows you to disconnect. Bruno and Brigitte have always been very responsive to my questions before stays and always provided good information. I recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants to get a breath of fresh air and feel at home :)

Great stay in a beautiful setting!

I had a wonderful 4-week stay at Dorothee's place. It is a cozy home, in a very quiet area. Very well equipped, everything that you might need for extended stays. Great internet too with a nice desk, so very suitable if you also need to work from time-to-time. It's located in a lovely area in the French Ardennes. A great place to visit if you're in to cycling or longs walks/hiking. Highly, highly recommended!

Pleasant short stay with plenty of amenities and responsiveness of the host very efficient as well as friendly.

Really beautiful place! Tastefully decorated, very clean, functional with all comforts. The kitchen and bathrooms are more than equipped. Lots of small touches are present in all rooms to make us feel really at home. Communication with Sarah goes very well, she responds quickly to our messages and tries to satisfy us as best as possible. We recommend ++++ and we will come back.

It’s a lovely, bright, comfortable, charming, and very clean studio apartment right next to the train station, about 10 minutes walk to the grocery store and lovely town square. Great bed. Flawless, fast internet. The host was very responsive to my communications. Charleville-Mézières is also a surprisingly lovely and charming town in the Ardennes Forest with a verdant river & lots of walking trails. I spent a month here as a base for trips to Belgium and Germany and Lille. They clean the place once a week and left some great food when I arrived. However, the chair next to the desk is uncomfortable to sit in and work in all day. Also, twice when I was cooking with both burners, the circuit was blown and I had to open the electrical panel to turn on the power again. So you should cook using only one burner at a time. Finally, you can hear the train station announcements all day long, but they aren’t too loud and I didn’t mind. It’s silent at night. Overall I was very happy here.

I was hosted very well by Jean François. The apartment is very well located in the pretty village of Rochehaut. Jean François gave good advice about the restaurants in the village. He washed some of the clothes that had endured a long day of cycling. My bike was able to spend the night sheltered in its garage. Nothing else to say.

We had a fantastic time in the vacation home! From the first contact, everything went very smoothly. The communication with the host was friendly, clear and fast – we felt welcome right away. Upon arrival we found a beautifully cared for and clean home, fully equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect – quiet, yet close to all the sights in the area. The small, thoughtful details in the house (such as a welcome drink, 2bio eggs and neatly made beds) really made the difference. Thanks to this nice place and the welcoming reception, we were really able to enjoy and recharge. We will definitely come back here! Recommended for anyone looking for comfort, tranquility and a carefree stay.

We booked Jean-François' apartment especially for a serial marathon, and frankly, it was perfect! The video projector and home theater installation are great: we were able to fully enjoy our two nights. The couch is comfortable, the WiFi connection is fast, and everything was fine when we arrived. Thanks to Jean-François for his warm welcome and responsiveness! We'll definitely be back for a future session.

We really had a fantastic stay. Sabine is very friendly and attentive. We felt right at home. There are beautiful walks nearby and the town of Bouillon is close by. We have completely relaxed here and would immediately book again.

We booked a night to go to the Prairi Daiza zoo, which is a 5-minute walk away. The accommodation is as described and Ariane and her family were very warm! The accommodation is not very large but has everything you need, with parking for the car. This is the perfect place to go to the zoo. Thank you!

Charming gite in a super nice, quiet location. We enjoyed the house like the beautiful garden Cecile and Denis are nice hosts who made sure we didn't miss anything and were always quick and easy to reach. Highly recommended!

very calm environment, we had a pleasant stay. lot of space, great spa and nice restaurants around. easy to access the champagne area in the proximity. to recommend.

We were there with 6 adults and 3 small children for 5 days and celebrated a wonderful birthday there. A great house, superbly equipped in the kitchen area. Unfortunately, there was only 1 cot and 1 high chair, maybe you could be a little more flexible! And the discussion with the size of the duvet covers and sheets and renting the bed linen when using a double bed as a single person (here you have to book the bed linen for 2 people!) is probably very narrow-minded for such a great house and the price. But otherwise a very quiet location with a wonderful view, a fantastic whirlpool, which you have to heat up early enough and a billiard room round off this exclusive house very much! We had a wonderful active weekend with friends in the Ardennes. The accommodation exceeded our expectations, two spacious terraces, spacious dining table, both inside and outside.

As listed, great amenities and beautiful area

Wonderful! We spent our Pentecost vacation at Audrey's house. A beautiful house with great views, very specially furnished. The kitchen was very well equipped and Audrey had left a few drinks and chips for us in the fridge. On Friday evening, a nice welcome after a long drive. The weather was not so good, but our children still used the pool. It was nice to light the pellet stove, which was filled for the first few hours. Refill pellets were cheap to get at the supermarket. Everything is as stated, Audrey was quick with the answers and very friendly. The area is great, Dinant even accessible by bike. In the village itself, there is a small proxy that is open 7 days a week until 8 pm. All in all, a very nice stay. We will definitely be back again.
