Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Chiavenna

Wir waren zum zweiten mal in Monias wunderschönem Haus in Montemezzo und wir haben uns wieder sehr sehr wohl gefühlt 😍 Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und ebenso sauber. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und die Aussicht ist einfach atemberaubend.

Casa confortevole e accogliente con un giardino interno tranquillo che offre una vista sul lago pazzesca . E’ stato un soggiorno rigenerante e rilassante.

Tolle Lage, schöne Wohnung, nette Gastgeber - alles super. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Die Wohnung ist sehr traditionell in einem alten Steinhaus, im wunderschönen Verzasca Tal gelegen. Der Ort ist der ideale Standpunkt, um das Tal mit der schönen Natur, aber auch Locarno und Ascona zu erkunden. Bitte beachten: der Ort ist an einem Stausee, dort kann man nicht schwimmen! Auch gibt es im Tal keine Supermärkte, Bäcker etc, Einkäufe am besten vorher erledigen. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr sauber, die Küche voll ausgestattet, die Lage sehr ruhig. Wir waren als Familie mit 2 Kindern da und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. (Es gibt steile Treppen im Haus, für sehr kleine Kinder nicht geeignet). Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen!

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the unbeatable location of this home. Being directly on the lake, the views are nothing short of magical. Waking up in the morning and looking out over the water from the bedroom felt like something out of a dream — peaceful, serene, and impossibly beautiful. The lake was quite literally at our doorstep. The home itself was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and full of charm. Every little detail was taken care of, and we felt instantly at ease. A special shoutout to our host, who went above and beyond when we realized last minute that we had forgotten to include our mother-in-law as a guest. It was entirely our oversight, and yet the host was kind, understanding, and incredibly accommodating. That kind of graciousness makes all the difference when you’re traveling. We can’t say enough good things about this place — the comfort, the views, the hospitality. If you’re lucky enough to find availability here, book it. Can’t wait to return

Luisella and Fermo were PERFECT hosts! My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Guilia House. The house is so charming - it felt like such a privilege to stay there and experience the history and beauty of the home and village of Fiumelatte. We especially loved the garden area that Luisella is cultivating - the views in the evening are spectacular! The walk to Varenna is an easy one with amazing views of the lake, mountains, and villages along the shore. This rental is not for everyone, however. Folks with mobility issues or toddlers should be aware that the rooms are all on different floors and connected by a cement staircase in the center of the home. If this is not a concern, then you will be treated to an authentic 'old world' Italian experience. We adored Luisella and Fermo - what a kind and generous couple! We are SO grateful for their hospitality. They welcomed us as if we were family and we will cherish them as if they are ours.

Unser Aufenthalt bei Mariapia war wunderschön, alles hat perfekt funktioniert. Wir haben uns sehr Willkommen gefühlt und die Zeit in der perfekt eingerichteten Unterkunft sehr genossen.Die Gegend ist wunderschön und wir würden gerne wieder kommen. Vielen herzlichen Dank liebe Mariapia!

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Michaela war sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Sie hat uns auch schon etwas für das Frühstück gerichtet so das wir nicht gleich einkaufen mussten. Auch mit den Kindern war sie super freundlich. Einzig die schönen Türen aus Glas scheppern beim öffnen, da hätten wir uns mehr Stopper gewünscht und in der Küche wären mehr Gewürze (Pfeffer, Paprika, italienische Kräuter) wünschenswert.

Der Gastgeber Andrea war wirklich sehr nett und immer hilfbereit. Er hat schnell auf Nachrichten reagiert. Kann es wirklich nur weiterempfehlen. Mit dem Bus / Shuttle Bus konnte ist Varenna sehr gut erreichbar. Es war wie auf den Fotos beschrieben :)

Alessandra was absolutely amazing, not only while we were there, but leading up to our stay. It felt like we made a friend in Italy. She was friendly, communicative, and helpful! The airline lost our bags and she kept checking in to see if we had an update. She truly went above and beyond! The Airbnb was so clean and welcoming! Right across the street from Lake Como! Beautiful area! Would recommend to anyone!

War alles gut. Leider war es nicht ganz sauber. Nichtdestotrotz war es sonst ein super Aufenthalt.

beautiful location. i prefer varnessa to belagio. flat is just the right size for a couple. if there's anything I want to mention is that it's in a much higher location than I expected. one would definitely need a car for more frequent visit to the town below. the host is so friendly and always available and responsive.

Antonio and Christian were amazing hosts during our recent stay in Lake Como. Always responsive to messages and the apartment was perfect for a family of 6. Spotless and had everything you need to cook (Antonio even set up the BBQ for us one night!). It felt like a private pool with all the different areas to lie and enjoy the breathtaking views. Apartment is close walking distance into Gravedona for some nice meals out and bars too. They even let some of us check in early and left a bottle of Prosecco as we were celebrating a big birthday, lovely touches. Couldn’t recommend them more and will definitely be back if we get the chance.

Wonderful private and gorgeous retreat high up on the hillside. RENT A CAR. We did, but only last minute and initially had planned to uber to and from the Airbnb both for arrival and departure as well as just day trips; this would have been a mistake, it is 12-14 minutes up the hill from the town. If you have a rental car and are comfortable driving up steep roads, it is a fun adventure and the views make it well worth the trek. The space itself is second to none. Gorgeous pool with million dollar views, several levels of terraces with sun chairs, outdoor eating areas, and the home itself is inviting and comfortable.

Leider waren wir nur einen Tag da, es hat sich dennoch gelohnt! Die Lage ist sehr gut in der Nähe des Bahnhofs und des Sees und von der großartigen Terrasse sieht man den Lago Maggiore während man im Whirlpool entspannt. Ideal um sich zu erholen!

Palazzo Giani is a beautiful place to stay. The apartment has all you need and was spotless and comfortable. Living in the old town was delightful. Surrounded by wonderful shops and trattorias we had an endless choice of places to go. The Mastai pasticceria was exceptional and Francesca provided a discount card to use there. That was very considerate. The scenery is breathtaking. The mountains loom large above the beautiful town with all the colourful floral window boxes in contrast. We wish we could have stayed longer. Such a beautiful place in wonderful town. We had a really great stay here and the communication was excellent. Our only note was the bathroom ceiling was very low but my partner and I are tall! Other than this it was the perfect place to call home. Thank you! ✨

Beautiful, spacious house that was very clean. The car could be parked in the garage. The house is located on a mountain slope and has a fantastic view over the valley. In good weather you can see Lake Como. Friendly welcome by Paola. She responded quickly to questions we had. We found the mattress of the bed much too soft, but that is a matter of taste. The wifi connection was not stable. It regularly dropped out.

Casa davvero molto bella, pulita e con tutti i confort. Bagno molto bello e funzionale. Grande giardino recintato in cui abbiamo potuto lasciare uscire il cane. Zona tranquilla con bei panorami..Host impeccabile, sempre disponibile. Grazie di tutto.

Lorena è un host super!!! Molto disponibile e gentile. Siamo stati una notte sola ma è stato come essere a casa. L’appartamento nonostante sia vicino alla strada è molto silenzioso e confortevole. Ritorneremo appena possibile!

Place was perfect to stay overnight and I guess would be also great to stay more. Windows are looking at small square which absolutely gorgeous and romantic. Everywhere mountains and beautiful nature. Parking spot is really close and convenient. Close to the apartment, by walking 10 minutes or by car 3 minutes, there are 2 big grocery stores.

The apartment features a beautiful and simple design with stunning views of the mountains and passing trains — truly a highlight of our stay. It’s well-equipped with most of the essentials, making our visit comfortable and enjoyable. We did encounter a couple of minor issues: the Swiss-type sockets were a bit inconvenient, and while the host kindly explained the situation, no adapter was provided. Additionally, the large garbage container outside was locked, which made waste disposal a bit difficult. Despite these small drawbacks, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the peaceful setting and thoughtful touches throughout the apartment.

Casa che ha tutto il necessario pulita, ordinata e accogliente con un ottima gestione dello spazio a disposizione, mi piace che oltre al tema dello “Scoiattolo” Claudio ci abbia messo del suo come la sua raccolta personale di DVD apprezzatissima piena di film cult, la zona è tranquilla e il posto è suggestivo, abbiamo anche portato il nostro cane che ha potuto fare delle bellissime passeggiate e sicuramente anche lui si è trovato a suo agio come noi all’interno dell’abitazione, ottimo anche lo spazio del box non indifferente per chi magari ne ha necessità. Claudio chiaro e diretto nelle info e infine concludo la recensione menzionando i biscotti che ci ha regalato e che ho mangiato nei giorni della mia permanenza a colazione molto buoni e apprezzati.
