House holiday rentals in Chartham

This is the second time we have stayed at Corrina’s holiday home and once again we found it to be squeaky clean, very well equipped, peaceful and a great location. The garden is home to a family of foxes, who were so confident, that they sunbathed on the lawn whilst we were sitting on the veranda. Corrina made us aware of check in details in very good time and left a number just in case we needed assistance, which I’m happy to say we didn’t need. The surrounding area is so lush and green, this time of year, and there is always plenty of interesting things to do nearby. We will visit again next year, but hopefully for longer this time. Thank you.

We had a lovely stay here, Nick was an excellent host, greeted us on arrival and very helpful with local info. Nick responded almost immediately to messages and had the pool ready for us to use as and when we requested. The kids had so much fun in the pool, the floats and toys left out to use were an added bonus! House was spotless and perfectly equipped. Would definitely Recommend and would happily return. We absolutely loved our stay and will be booking again. The space was clean, warm and very spacious up and downstairs. The design and decor was on another level. We couldn’t get over the beautiful chandelier. We were greeted with fruits and milk on arrival in the large kitchen. Ahead of our journey we were given clear directions to the property. Access was easy and there were clear instructions for the sauna, pool etc. We used the sauna daily. It’s was huge and looked brand new. We were be able to watch the kids swim in the pool from the sauna. The kids absolutely loved the pool and took every opportunity day and night to swim. It really was a bonus to have our own pool. 5 of us stayed for a week and there was enough space in the fridge and freezer for all of our food. I have already recommended the space to my friends.

Jane was a brilliant host. Responsive, professional and very friendly. The cottage was clean, had everything you’d need and more! The pool and hot were definitely the highlight! Thank you for a lovely stay :)

I stayed for my 30th birthday celebrations and had the best time ever. This place was perfect! the decor, the location, the surroundings and most importantly Karen and her husband was so friendly and lovely and ensured I had a special birthday. I’ve stayed at Airbnb’s before and I’ve never had a host as lovely as Karen was, the perfect host we could have wish for. The swimming pool was amazing and me and my family had a wonderful time enjoying it in the sun with a BBQ. The cottage was spotless and a welcome hamper was provided and every little detail was perfect. The garden area was beautiful through out the day and so peaceful and relaxing. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough, it was truly perfect and I will definitely be staying again and recommending to everyone I know! Thank you again for making it such a special birthday x

We were very impressed on arrival. Lovely peaceful grounds, pool bigger than we’d expected and great games area. Good place to stay with our extended family, good central location, really enjoyed nearby Canterbury. We were lucky with the weather. We visited Howletts zoo & 2 different sea-sides. The house is quite warm, it’s great fans are provided in all bedrooms. Improvements- Need better extraction for the kitchen- & update the book on what to do if the smoke alarm goes off! The agency were quick to help but with poor phone signal this was tricky to arrange. Bigger beds/ new mattresses Downstairs loo had no toilet lid Other reviews mentioned cobwebs & the place seeming a bit ‘tired’, I’d agree with some of that but it didn’t stop us having a wonderful time & a few cobwebs don’t bother me, everything else was clean and we’d love to return .

This was our second visit to the Lighthouse and it still is an amazing place, from the panoramic sea views to a lovely warm inviting home. A dip in the pool before breakfast, sitting with a coffee watching the seascape, as far as Essex and beyond, sunsets and so much more. I will make the same comment as I did last, this goes for the whole of our party across 3 generations and the dogs, the only bad thing about the Lighthouse is having to leave. Hopefully this will not be our last visit.

Excellent family home in a quiet village near Dover. A great place to explore and good homebase for exploration. Claire's place was just as advertised and worked out very well for my family. 5/5 would definitely recommend.

The Smithy could not be more beautiful or more comfortable. It is the prettiest little house with a window box overflowing with petunias in the prettiest little English country square you could imagine (like something Disney would make up but better) with the ‘big house’ through the gates at one end of the square and a picture perfect church and pub the other end. The beds are huge and so comfortable. The garden is perfect for eating and sitting out in and I loved the kitchen which took me back in time to simpler, happy times (although please don’t get the wrong idea, everything is modern, clean, works and is up to date!). It just has a lovely nostalgic feel to it, perhaps because it reminded me of happy childhood times in my grandmother’s house, sitting at the kitchen table. I spent one afternoon cooking in it and feeling really relaxed ‘at home’ in a way that it isn’t always possible to feel at home! My husband and our Canadian cousins walked to Canterbury along the Pilgrims Way.

I have stayed in AirBnBs all around the world, and this one was my favorite! Perfect location, very nice interior and bedding, adorable patio, and personable hosts. Highly recommended!

Beautiful location. Very quiet and peaceful. Comfortable beds. Good for the dog, enclosed back garden. Parking on the street outside the house was easy. Close to Mermaid pub and Tadpole cafe/farmshop and bakery. Everything you need for a holiday in East Kent

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was well equipped and well organised. We had everything we needed in a compact space that felt uncluttered and comfortable. It was really well positioned close to the city centre near parks, the river and great places to visit and eat.

Absolutely stunning home with beautiful grounds, perfect for our pups who loved running around the garden. Bedrooms were a great size, comfortable to sleep in. Hosts provided so much in the property, had everything we needed. Easy to check in, provided great instructions on how to locate and responded quickly everytime! Was a perfect weekend get away, thank you!

What a find. Wonderful helpful and friendly family. We didn't have any issues with anything relating to this location. Clean well equipped and spacious property. Quiet location within walking distance of the local pub. Park and ride to Canterbury within five miles and cost £4. for the two of us. Location was perfect for us. We would definitely choose to stay with Emily and Simon again when we are next in Kent.

We stopped over at Kates place before we took the Shuttle over to France and it was perfect. The house is super comfy, clean, very sweet, and Mersham is a lovely village. The house is practically next to the pub, which served good beers and very decent food and the staff were great. Kate also let us know about the new cafe (along with lots of other pieces of info and helpful recommemdations) - which was ideal for breakfast. Everything was so easy. Would have happily stayed longer and definitely would stay again!

Second year staying at this beautiful little home. Perfect for all our needs and always a lovely warm welcome. Peaceful and lovely surroundings and the chicken and goats always a child pleaser.

Great cottage with private parking, which is very rare and Canterbury. It was a lovely well appointed place to stay and easy to walk to everything. The host was very responsive and very helpful with recommendations of things to do. I would highly recommend this cottage and this host. We truly appreciated the handwritten welcome card and the lovely cookies they left for us.

Perfect for what I needed. Comfortable, clean, great value and very friendly hosts. Easy access to surrounding sights too (cliffs / Battle of Britain memorial etc). Highly recommend

We really enjoyed staying at Amy’s place. The cottage is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Amy was a helpful and responsive host. The location is superb, our first time in Rye but we will be back. We particularly enjoyed brunch at The Fig and dinner at The Union in Rye and The George Hotel has a lovely courtyard for drinks. Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage style property. Drove done a country road in a forest to find the very secluded property (although agree with one other reviewer that it could be clearer there is 3 properties grouped together in the same area!) Smooth check in, spotless inside. Gorgeous surroundings, including swing and play fixtures for our 2 and 4 year old. Very friendly and kind owners live in an adjacent property so we’re on hand and very friendly and quick to solve our small problems (water turned off temporarily - fixed very quickly! And cot and high chair accidentally put in other cottage but again, fixed as quickly as they could!) 15 mins from gorgeous Folkstone and Port Lympne reserve, sooo peaceful and had a brilliant time. Will be back.

Lovely little terraced property in a quiet mews. Old railway cottages with bags of character. Quiet and peaceful location with unrestricted parking outside (albeit first come first served). Decorated to a high standard, and literally everything you could possibly want in the kitchen. Towels and toiletries were well posh too. Perfect weekender for couples and small families who like the little things. Highly highly recommend this listing 🏠 🥰
