Holiday rentals with beach access in Charmouth

Despite the weather which was better than expected , we had a lovely stay. The area is beautiful.

We had an incredible stay with Nikki for our holiday this year. The flat was perfect for what we were looking for, a base right on the beach front where there were restaurants and cocktails bars around to enjoy in the evenings. Nikki was an excellent host and was very responsive whenever we messaged her with questions. Couldn’t have asked for a better host!

We booked a last minute trip away with our two young children, and both the flat and Michelle were fantastic. It was exactly as described, with a really homely feel. The bedroom and bathroom were particularly lovely, with a unique and very large bedroom space and a great sized shower. We got in touch to see about the possibility of checking in early and Michelle was really accommodating, and arranged for us to get in a couple of hours early which was a blessing with two slightly wound up kids! Michelle was also the one to remind me that we needed the travel cot put up and it was ready for us when we arrived which was a lovely touch. The communication throughout was excellent. The location is brilliant, only a couple of minutes walk from the beach. Although there’s no parking, the long stay charmouth car park at the top of the hill is close by and easy to get to and from if needed. We’d absolute recommend and would be very happy to come back again 🙂

Thank you! Lyme Regis is lovely and the flat is in a great location with everything close by and walkable - just a few yards from the seafront. Everything needed in is provided, including the small helpful things that made the stay more enjoyable, and all our questions were answered in the excellent manual - didn't need to ask any questions! Definitely recommend and would definitely return.

Chris & Sally are so friendly and helpful such a lovely couple and extremely welcoming …the accommodation was very luxurious and everything we needed for our stay the fridge was even stocked up with essentials so we didn’t have to go shopping when we arrived!! They went over and beyond to make us feel comfortable…absolutely amazing views…We shall have no hesitation in recommending this AirB&B to friends and family…one of the best ones we’ve stayed at!! I told my four-year-old we had been invited by 2 queens to stay in their castle—and what queens they were! Such a friendly reception and what a wonderfully whimsical place. The location is fabulous: you can’t see another property, just rolling hills of sheep (the friendliest photobombing sheep I’ve ever come across!), chickens, cows, horses… and the dogs are such a sweet, quiet presence too. Beds are luxurious and the whole house is super cosy with a fab little private garden. A real gem! Would definitely return.

My husband, 10-year-old daughter and myself have just returned from a truly amazing week, the property is beautiful, with facilities that far exceeded expectations. We had such a relaxing time; the beds are super comfy; led in bed looking out to sea with a coffee in the morning was a true highlight. The gardens are beautifully kept and being gated and private we had no worries with our daughter playing out. The walk down to Watcombe Beach, albeit steep on the way back up but 100% worth it; we took our paddleboard down and went swimming on a number of occasions, the water is very calm, on 2 occasions we were in the water and within 20ft off us were 2 seals! The hot tub was perfect, lovely fluffy robes provided to keep off the chill. We used the BBQ each evening and ate out on the patio. Susan is an incredible host, nothing is too much trouble, very informative and exceedingly helpful, she really did enhance our stay and made us feel as if we were staying in a home from home.

This was my third stay at Amy’s and won’t be the last. The home is outstanding and the back beach on your doorstep, the town is less than a few minutes away and all you need there. Lots of pubs and tea shops and I highly recommend a visit to Laura Wall Art for lovely gifts. Be back soon thank you Amy

Beer is certainly worth a visit, a beautiful village on the coast with stunning scenery in all directions. Nikki and Chris's cottage is comfortable, welcoming and convenient for the area with private off-street parking. Communication was excellent throughout with local tips and knowledge. Would certainly recommend their property.

I would fully recommend this place,great location near all the shops and restaurants a great base in which to explore near by places along the jurassic coast.

We had a wonderful three nights here. Diana and Marcus are such lovely people and were very welcoming. Although they live next door, we felt really private in our rental, yet they were there if we should need them (we didn't - everything had been thought of right down to kindling, wood and coal for the fire!). The house is roomy, clean and welcoming and perfectly positioned. We enjoyed the lovely walk to Lyme Regis along the river, and a trip to Axminster, River Cottage and Charmouth. We were disappointed that The Talbot pub (just a few steps away) wasn't doing food while we were there, due to the chef being away. The reviews of this pub are great - we enjoyed a few drinks there though and it's really friendly. We ate at the New Inn in Kilmington and can highly recommend it, the food was lovely, home-cooked and plentiful. Staff and locals were all really welcoming. Thanks Diana and Marcus for making us feel at home in Spring Cottage!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dorset Mews. The house felt like a true home away from home, with everything we needed and more. It was spotless, beautifully presented, and full of thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. Although we don’t have kids, we really appreciated the great selection of games, toys, DVDs, and even a Wii—such a nice touch for relaxing evenings in. The location is perfect: just a short walk to the town and beach, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful. Having private parking was a huge bonus in Lyme Regis! The host was fantastic—friendly, helpful, and very responsive. We actually got engaged during this trip, and we couldn’t have wished for a better little base to make such a special memory. Highly recommend Dorset Mews to anyone visiting the area. We’d love to return one day!

Serendipity is a lovely house with stunning views. Marks has designed and refurbished his house beautifully and very much with his guests in mind. The downstairs is spacious with a very large table so we as a party of nine could sit all together or in separate groups inside and outside. Well done to Mark. He is a very considerate and welcoming host.

Beautiful, light, airy and comfortable home in a perfect location for us. Everything you need in the kitchen for cooking with. V comfy bed! It was lovely and peaceful but just a quick drive to Hive Beach/Burton Bradstock/Bridport . 5 min walk down the road to a lovely local farm shop and The Parlour restaurant for good food and cider made on the farm. Alison was very friendly and gave some good recommendations in the welcome pack.

What a wonderful break of journey, great hosts and a wonderful location, the cottage felt so homely and meeting Emily and Mike was like catching up with old friends, very relaxed and very helpful, we shall certainly be going back in the very near future. Lots of amenities within walking distance or a short drive and the town has a really friendly atmosphere. Great mixed street market twice a week, you name it they sell it, great bargains to be had. We actually stayed twice once on the way down to Cornwall and then again on the way back, we did regret booking several days in Cornwall on reflection we would have been happier staying at the cottage in Bridport.

Fabulous place, fantastic views from living room and master bedroom, perfect place. Such a great location just across the road from the beach and a few minutes walk from the harbour and town centre. The sound of the pebbles washing up the beach lulled us to sleep. Thank you Anna!

Our second stay here and it won’t be our last ! Very spacious, extremely comfortable and sparkling clean.Everything thing works extremely well. Fab kitchen with everything you need. Comfortable furniture and easy to use TV. Enormous comfortable bed and very user friendly bathroom. Definitely not exclusively for people with access problems but for my husband in a mobility scooter it was perfect. Easy and safe parking and perfect location. Are you getting the vibes that we liked it ! We are looking forward to coming back ! 😀😀

A very tasteful modern and pristine apartment with the most amazing views along the Jurassic Coast - what a place to relax. It is reasonably close to the beautiful town of Lyme Regis walking however the return journey is challenging and is not for everyone. It is so convenient though for the many walking routes in the area which we really enjoyed. Thanks Melanie and David for wonderful stay ( loved your new lawn mower David, we might have to get one too! )

A beautiful apartment just a short walk away from the centre of Torquay. Dean was very helpful. I would happily stay here again.

We had a really enjoyable stay. Caroline provided good instructions on how to get there and the guide book then had lots on information regarding the apartment and surrounding area. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Beautiful apartment with stunning views. brand new bathroom with walk in shower and lovely Neal's Yard products which smell amazing. Welcome pack of food goodies including milk, butter, croissants cheese, jam, marmalade and a bowl full of fresh fruit. Couldn't have asked more from our hosts Lynne and Neal. We absolutely loved our stay at Carley’s apartment. All directions and instructions were spot on and easy to follow. The apartment was perfect and the view is stunning, and everything we needed was thought of by Carley, who was also super helpful and friendly. We’d definitely recommend to anyone!

A wonderful place to stay right in the heart of West Bay. The apartment had everything you need and was spotless. The welcome gifts were a lovely gesture. We would thoroughly recommend staying here and we will be back.
