Holiday rentals with beach access in Charles County

Just returned from a wonderful restful stay! Melanie is a wonderful host and made sure we had an amazing time! We asked about kitchen items and she went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed to make a nice meal on our first night after a long drive! We enjoyed kayaking from her private dock and she was very responsive and friendly! This is our second stay and won’t be our last! Thank you!

Our family had a wonderful stay in this spacious, new apartment with waterfront view. Check-in was a breeze and host communication was great. Location is ideal, right next to the sand and restaurants. Note that a nearby bar does have live music until about 10pm-11pm, but the bedroom is thoughtfully equipped with a sound machine, and it never bothered us. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need. One small thing that would make the place even better: if there were beach towels, a pair of simple beach chairs and a beach umbrella. This equipment would mean that guests would not have to bring this from home or buy. This is a fantastic place and we would definitely stay here again.

I had a fantastic stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Check-in was smooth and communication with the host was great! The space had everything I needed, I felt like a home away from home, and the view was absolutely AMAZING! I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Great place with fantastic views of the Potomac . Close to many dining options within walking distance. We went for a Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. I highly recommend.

What a great weekend stay! We loved our time at the shanty, its proximity to the beach and restaurants was unparalleled. Our only complaint was that the music from next door was a bit loud (and traveling with little kids made it more of an issue), but really couldn’t be happier with our experience. Thanks Courtney!

My toddler and I loved this spot for our little spring break getaway. Clean and spacious, it was right on the beach and next to a restaurant that offers yummy food. Smart TVs with all apps to watch shows during down time. Walkable to everything else we needed - grocery store, hardware store, and ice cream shop! We’d stay again!

Was such a beautiful experience. Such an amazing place worth the stay! The kayaks and canoes were so much fun. Very clear instructions a binder full of instructions and very clear. Also in the binder has lots of cool things to do around the area 10/10 it was amazing!!!

The house and location was beautiful. The shower was absolutely amazing,my favorite part of the house. Host always responded quickly and everything was perfect as pictured.

We really enjoyed a relaxing getaway, and being walking distance to a private beach made the AirBnB really worth it!

I want to gate-keep this house so much!! If you are looking for a great house to hangout relax on the dock with a glass of wine eating crab chips then this is the place for you! We didn’t want to leave. Her home is beautiful, extremely clean, comfortable and the perfect spot for basically any size group. We kayaked, we road bikes, we made s’mores, we fished, we ate crabs at Capt John’s it was the perfect Cobb island adventure. Can’t wait to come back!

Kimberley and Patrick's house is a wonderful retreat on the Potomac River. It's brand new, very bright, well-equipped and located in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood in the small town of Colonial Beach. We were able to use it for relaxing days and exploring Washington and the surrounding area. Kimberley and Patrick live part-time in the neighborhood and are always available for questions and chats. It was important to Kimberley that we felt comfortable, that everything was okay for us, and that she could give us recommendations for excursions. We liked the view of the water from the kitchen and terrace, the well equipt kitchen, the TV chairs and the washing and drying facilities, which allowed us to travel lighter so we had more space for souvenirs :-) One of my colleagues is considering visiting Washington and Virginia in the near future. I would definitely recommend Kimberley and Patrick's house to her.

We enjoyed our stay. This first floor suite has its own gravel parking space and small deck with seating. The space is cute and clean. It has the basics—a mini sink, fridge, and microwave. We did have to go out and buy our own dish liquid to clean baby bottles. Also, there weren’t any bowls for breakfast, so I recommend bringing those items yourself if you need them. There were bottled waters, assorted teas and coffees provided. The living and bedroom spaces are spacious. The furniture is nice and the mattress was comfy. The location is good—near the beach and good restaurants. Jacqueline was a prompt and friendly host. We would stay again.
