Holiday rentals in Chalikounas

This place was very dreamy. It a beautiful home that sits atop a hill and has a gated entry. A big highlight for our family was the proximity to a beautiful sandy beach. Also, from this home you can watch both sunrises and sunsets. This was really magical…where else can you do that from one place?! Our host had some treats and juices ready to welcome us, which was a nice touch. A few small issues: First, the swimming pool is not heated and the water was frigid. We stayed in October and probably should have expected this, and I imagine it would be nicer in the hottest summer months. Second, the wifi is really bad with very slow connection speeds. I communicated this to our host and she offered no help. Nowadays this is unacceptable, especially when you’re paying premium prices. With all that said, this place was very special and we had a great time here.

Our stay at Thinalo in Corfu was absolute perfection! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the villa’s stunning sea views, private beach access, and luxurious yet cozy atmosphere. The spacious bedrooms, each with their own balcony and bathroom, felt like a dream, while the fully equipped kitchen and seamless indoor-outdoor living made every meal a delight. What truly set Thinalo apart was the incredible hospitality. Our host went above and beyond—adjusting our booking when travel delays shortened our trip and ensuring every detail was flawless. Katia, who welcomed us, was warm and professional, even arranging a last-minute boat rental that became the highlight of our trip. Waking up to the sound of waves, enjoying sunset dinners on the terrace, and swimming in the crystal-clear Ionian Sea just steps from our door—every moment felt magical. Thinalo isn’t just a rental; it’s a slice of paradise. We’re already counting down the days until we can return!

This was a repeat visit for our family to this terrific house. We had another great stay! It's a very comfortable house with a large garden, set in an extremely remote (in a positive sense) location, but still just a ~5-minute drive to Halikounas Beach. It's an extremely peaceful and quiet setting, with complete privacy. The house has 3 bedrooms with one bathroom (and a shower outside as well that we used post-beach), and a common living room / kitchen with a nice veranda/balcony at the back of the house, where there are a couple of seating areas (one covered for avoiding sun). There's also a nice area at the front of the house for sitting/relaxing. The host was very responsive to the couple of issues we had, and anything that came up was solved quickly. We will definitely return!

Kostas did everything to make our stay on the island pleasant, providing valuable suggestions of all kinds. The accommodation is really clean, well-kept and functional, and the kitchen is well-equipped. You may miss the lack of an outdoor space to stay in the open air, but this is an incentive to move and enjoy the beauty of the island. We can feel the expert hand of Kostas' mother, who greeted us with a delicious local cake, still warm from the oven. The convenient parking reserved a few steps from the house is fundamental. We will not fail to recommend this experience to our friends.

We had a lovely week in this wonderful house. It is very cozy and very clean. Perfect amenities, we felt totally comfortable and were very warmly welcomed with some welcome gifts. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. There is a great restaurant within walking distance in the area with a great view and great food. Within 10 minutes you can reach very beautiful beaches by car, which are great for children. We will be happy to come back.

We spent five wonderful days in this part of Corfu! The host welcomed us and showed us the accommodation where we stayed! It was a real diamond next to the sea! The house is fully renovated with more than what we needed! The property has fast internet (starlink) and is far better than the pictures show. The beach is two minutes away by foot and guarantees you privacy as well as opportunities to explore under the crystal clear waters! Nearby you will find many beaches and restaurants with nice food! Inside the accommodation you will find a booklet with suggestions and ideas for what is worth visiting on the island and in the surrounding area .We will definitely be back again in the near future! Istvan is a friendly host. He built a ramp for the approx. five steps into the holiday home, so that my old dog, cannot go down stairs, was happy. 👍 The kitchen is well equipped, the surroundings quiet, the pool wonderful. Wi-Fi and mobile phone only work intermittently. Recommendation at any time!

We traveled as a family of 4 with our 2 teenagers. The villa is exactly what we were looking for. Outside the touristic crowds, quiet, and located close to some of the best beaches in Corfu. The owner has been really nice and has immediately answered and solved any minor issue. She lives near by which made everything very easy. The villa has 3 full bedrooms for a total of 6 people. There’s a lounge are upstairs with a beautiful terrace. The garden is pretty big, with swings and a seesaw (ideal for families with young children). There was a crib upstairs too :) The kitchen has all the necessary to cook or warm up any food. Big fridge. The outdoors is wonderful with a huge table, a built-in bbq, and a good size swimming pool. The owner makes sure all the equipment, pool, and garden, are kept in perfect conditions. We really recommend this villa for families like us wanting to have a relaxed time. The sandy beach can be reached by foot (15-20 minutes) or by car (free and easy parking). The first bar has sun beds and umbrellas for 8 euros the day. Good snacks and drinks. The second bar, Tayo, seems more popular but it can be full. Hallikounas beach is beautiful, warm water, sand, long. Anothe beach very close by worth visiting is Prossoudi. Agios Georgios to the South is beautiful and we recommend the restaurant Malibu. We also rented a boat from Boukari for the day - recommended!
