Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Cessnock

On a small street off the main roads, this house is near to Cessnock center and makes a great spot to do your Hunter Valley tours. We love the backyard where there’s a tree swing and trampoline for the kids. Very well-kept and clean. We had a good 3 nights stay.

What an amazing stay. Not only was everything even nicer than expected, Ryan was super helpful and very responsive. From the moment of booking all the way to check-out, interactions were clear, helpful and seamless. Gramercy is a divine, beautifully appointed home, extremely clean with sweet welcoming touches of snacks and sparkling. Would highly recommend and use as a base again when visiting the Hunter. Flamingo House is cute, cosy and comfortable. Has everything you need in abundance. Cessnock is lovely and the house suits the area. Thank you for sharing it - we had a lovely adventure.

We had an amazing stay at Cessnock! The house was beautifully furnished and very clean! Sally - Ann was lovely and easy to get in touch with ! The house is in a great location and a great distance to the village, wildlife park and wineries.

Lovely house, exactly as pictured and described. The location was really good and Matt was very responsive. Would recommend this place to anyone thinking about staying here.

We had a great stay at Mark's lovely house. He was a great host with great communication. The house was beautifully clean and had everything we needed (including a nice bottle of wine on arrival). Lovely little place in the heart of Greta. Great spot to discover the surrounding area especially the Hunter Valley Wineries. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and fresh eggs from the hosts chickens and other welcome treats. We would recommend a stay.

Absolutely comfortable and warm . Easy to find . Quiet and so many nice touches … extremely spotless and clean and everything you need .. you feel very welcome and it’s a great stop over or a place to explore . Thanks jean . You guys are so sweet would definitely recommend you xxx

The studio was sparkling clean and the bed was really comfy. The reverse cycle AC made the studio cozy on a cold winter weekend and there is a great pub only one block away with excellent food. Cath and Alex were very friendly and helpful both before we arrived as well as during our stay. Overall it was excellent value for money. We had a great weekend and we will be back for our next Newcastle visit.

The hospitality of this locations was unbeatably unmatched and felt more personal and accommodating than hotels. From the locatiom being incredibly well put together with its impeccable interior design, it becomes clear the place is a passion project more than anything. I couldn't sing my praises high enough for the cleanliness, comfort, convenience, amenities, services and incredible standard of hospitality set by this one visit. My stay was absolutely incredible and would highly highly reccomend it in future.

Absolutely loved our stay in this cosy, clean, and super quiet home in Greta. Perfectly located just 15 minutes from the wineries, it was the ideal base for a busy wedding weekend. The property is peaceful and beautifully maintained – we only wish we had more time to enjoy it! There were horses and a little sausage dog named Wonka who definitely deserve a shoutout. We’ll be back

Great value for money, the QT hotel is just down the road, but much preferred the space and amenities available in the apartment. Plus the price was much better. Beautifully styled with quality inclusions. Location was fantastic, we took bicycles and thoroughly enjoyed the harbour and coastal tracks.

We really enjoyed our 3 nights at Matt's place. Same as other reviews, in that it was a little hard to find when first checking in, in the dark too, but once we got our bearings with Matt's map we had no issues. That was really the only hiccup. The area is great, and you can hire bikes to do a self wine tour, direct from the resort, rather than hire elsewhere, which was a great bonus

Hidden Gem in Newcastle – Thoughtful, Understated, Perfect This place truly surprised me — in the best way. The space was beautiful yet understated, with everything I needed right at my fingertips. What made it unforgettable was the host: warm, welcoming, and incredibly thoughtful. I was greeted with beautiful complimentary drinks and felt instantly at ease. A rare gem!

Perfect for a weekend or even long term getaway. Location was great, right in the heart of the city, 5-mins walk to a couple local pubs, cafes and convenience stores and 15-mins walk to beach and light rail interchange. Also noticed quite a few buses with different bus routes around the area as well. Check in was a breeze and not that I had any issues but Mel was quick to reply once I had advised check in and check out. The place itself was fantastic, ducted air con throughout, 2 very big comfy beds, large lounge area and huge dining area with a kitchen that had what you need to cook for a large group of people, if you wished. Having access to a washing machine and dryer is always a plus, esp. when there’s a 2nd toilet and the bathroom was clean as well. Would definitely look to stay there again if going back up to Newcastle.

10 stars! The longer you stay in Keran’s studio (and Newcastle) the longer you will want to stay. As frequent airbnb’ers we SO appreciate the considerate built-in storage spaces, HOOKS (!), all the kitchen supplies needed to cook meals, etc.! Keran spoiled us: cheeses, fruit, butter, gluten free crackers (she asked about dietary requirements!), OJ and more. Any anxiety about lack of outdoor space was quelled by a cute cozy basement style patio and the fact that Newcastle Beach and its shaded chill spaces is only a few minutes’ walk away. I have to mention the bathroom which had the most sophisticated lighting I have seen. Plus a great shower, just bring your shampoo. Public transport is nearby but we were happy to have a car to explore and traffic was a non-issue. Smaller car is best. Restaurants in walking distance as well as ocean pools (a must!). Best grocery stores by car. We met Keran who was great about checking in w/us and suggestions. She lives above in this historic complex.

Loved this place, the host and the parkland around. Very convenient. Perfect independent little cottage with all amenities needed. Look forward to returning.

The apartment and the amenities are outstanding. We returned here because we had to extend staying away from our house because of renovations. This was our first choice and u cannot recommend it enough. What really does need highlighted is how much of an outstanding history Connie is. She was so understanding, compassionate, super friendly and flexible. She deserves 10 stars.
