Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Central Province

Camillus was the best host during our short tour in Sri Lanka. He was the owner of the apartment and always willing to go that extra mile to make our stay memorable- tips on to do things, flexible on check in and out times and any requests never too much for Camillus. The apartment located on a hill with steep incline - we love the walk to Kandy Lake and back as it provided us a great way to burn excess calories from our dining experiences 😊. Turk Turks and Pick Me come straight upto the apartment so if you don’t want the walk, you have an option. We will surely stay at this place again when we visit Sri Lanka and we highly recommend for travellers as Camillus offer 1, 2 or even 3 bed room apartments.

We had a wonderful time staying in this house! Its location in the forest created an incredibly cozy and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. The house was comfortable and well-equipped, and the housekeeper was a true gem — always nearby and ready to help, yet absolutely unobtrusive and respectful of our privacy, which we greatly appreciated. The only downside was the weak Wi-Fi, but even that helped us disconnect and immerse ourselves in nature. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would happily come back again!

The host and his family are very friendly and helpful. The apartment is spacious, with plenty of room to spread out. There's a pleasant balcony out the back where we enjoyed eating our meals. It's a twenty minute walk into town, or a quick Tuk Tuk ride. Scooter hire is available, and we made use of it to explore Sigiriya and the local area. The neighborhood is peaceful and welcoming.

Wow! I have been traveling with AirBnB for 11 years now and have never had such a great experience. The slogan "Your second home" is not just a slogan, but a reality right from the start. I can only recommend this accommodation to everyone. From the facilities and service to the location, everything exceeded our expectations. In addition, Gampola is an authentic place where you can get to know Sri Lanka at its best in an oasis of tranquillity in the midst of different religions. Centrally located, Gampola offers a good starting point to discover the surrounding area, all the way to Kandy.

Lovely hosts, a clean and comfortable room, and a great location. Felt like a home away from home. Would definitely return!

Upul ist ein sehr netter und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Die Aussicht ist ein Traum! Die Unterkunft ist sehr groß (größer als auf den Bildern) und perfekt für 4 Personen. Die Möbel sind moderner als man es auf Sri Lanka gewohnt ist. Upul hat uns sogar seine Waschmaschiene zur Verfügung gestellrt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wären gerne länger geblieben. Der Ambuluwawa Tower ist ca. 10 Minuten (Tultuk) entfernt. Reisenden mit einem Tuktuk würden wir empfehlen das Tultuk nicht ganz oben bei der Unterkunft zu parken, es sei denn man ist schon sehr erfahren. Wie haben es gerade so bei Regen hoch geschafft. Es geht ziemlich steil Berg hoch. Mit einem Mopet oder Auto geht es besser. Uns hat es wirklich gut gefallen. Wir würden die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall nochmal buchen! 🙂

I travelled here in a group of 5 guys. Absolute gem of a place 10min away from Kandy lake. View of the hills from this place is amazing. Will need a private vehicle to commute from here but thats not much of a drawback. Last but not the least the hosts were very sweet and charming(Hiroshans mom and dad) . They made us feel at home and treated us like own family members including providing us breakfast and dinner and also refused to accept any charges. Don’t have to say the food was delicious. This will definitely be my go to place whenever in Kandy.

Sampath's place was the perfect starting point for our Sri Lanka trip. The secluded location offered breathtaking views, and everything we needed was taken care of. My family, including my kid and parents, loved it there. The caretakers, were incredibly friendly and great hosts. The food she cooked for us was also really great! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!

Wir haben uns von der ersten Wir haben uns von der ersten Minute an sehr wohl gefühlt in diesem komfortablen, großen und geschmackvoll eingerichteten Haus. Es liegt am Ende einer ruhigen Seitenstraße mit einem tollen Blick über das Tal und den Fluss bis zu den Bergen. Sakunthala hat uns supernett begrüßt und alles getan dafür, dass wir uns gut aufgenommen fühlten. Sie ist darüber hinaus auch eine gute Köchin die uns bestes Essen serviert hat. Auch die Hausbesitzer Aude und Ariyam, die wir später kennenlernen durften, sind sehr nett und waren immer bemüht, unseren Aufenthalt so bequem wie möglich zu gestalten. Das einzige, was wir bereuen, ist, dass wir nur drei Tage gebucht hatten und dann weiterreisen mussten. Sehr gerne würden wir nochmal kommen. Vielen Dank für alles! Katharina

If you’re a nature lover, this is the perfect getaway for you. Imagine waking up to the soothing melodies of birdsong—it’s an experience we thoroughly enjoyed. Make sure to arrive before dark, as finding the place can be a bit tricky after sunset. A special shoutout to the chefs—they are truly exceptional! The food was not only delicious but also prepared with great care, and their friendly and helpful demeanor added to the charm of our stay. All in all, it’s a stunning haven nestled in the heart of a lush forest—a serene escape surrounded by nature’s beauty.

Amazing surroundings! Super responsive caretaker! Out of the world food! The warmth of the host more than compensates for the cold weather!

great location for sri lanka middle part sightseeing. house and swimming pool much bigger than on photos. was better than expected. safe and quiet. Spend really good time. dinner and breakfast possible.

Grand Hills is a fitting name for a villa with amazing views of the surrounding hills and Kandy area. Don's team at the villa were helpful and (especially Mr Chaminda); we were given local recommendations and they were very responsive to any requests or questions. The villa is a good size - our extended family had plenty of space and most rooms have a private balcony. The children enjoyed watching the monkeys on the roof in the morning. The Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious and we were able to walk to the neighbouring resort for lunch and dinner. Pool was pristine.

La stanza si trova in un edificio ancora in costruzione (il loft) a qualche metro da quello principale (la villa) ed è molto spaziosa, con ampie finestre lungo tutte le pareti che affacciano direttamente sulla giungla e su un'ampia terrazza privata dove poter cenare e fare colazione. Nonostante il late check in siamo stati accolti con grande cortesia e professionalità e la chef Selvi si è proposta di cucinare la cena nonostante il tardo orario e il fatto che non lo avessimo richiesto in anticipo. La colazione e la cena sono servite direttamente sul terrazzo privato e sono sempre deliziose, siamo stati in Sri Lanka per 20 giorni e non abbiamo mangiato cibo tradizionale più buono di quello cucinato da Selvi. C'è anche una bellissima piscina (che però non abbiamo utilizzato). La pulizia della stanza e del bagno era buona. Il verde, la professionalità dello staff e la deliziosa cucina di Selvi hanno reso il nostro soggiorno davvero perfetto! Istuti!

Our stay at Somaland was an incredible experience! We were treated like royalty yet felt completely relaxed and like at home. The colonial mansion is very beautiful. Impeccably preserved and kept, luxurious and comfortable, it’s huge and full of exquisite furnishings. Such a rare opportunity to be able to stay in such a magnificent residence with such history, surrounded by peaceful gardens and lush landscape. Our trip was only enhanced by the divine attention and service of Nilani and Gamage. They welcomed us into the home and looked after us like special family members. So thoughtful and kind and fun. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an extraordinary and wonderful experience. Pieter the host was incredibly helpful and attentive with many extra tips along the way. Our family stay at Dinithi's place was exceptional. It's tranquil location and immaculate maintenance made it an ideal escape. The place was beautiful! Had everything we needed for the whole month stay. It was very clean and tidy and was exactly like in pictures shown in Airbnb. The location was perfect and convenient to all shops/Kandy town and in a well secured area. The host Dinithi was amazing! Their family was so helpful and kind, felt like we stay with our own family. They were definitely the highlight to our already outstanding stay!! We would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday.

Loved the place! Indica was very helpful as a host and communication was excellent, putting us at ease with clear directions and tips. The caretaker was incredibly helpful too for the duration of our stay. Regarding the actual place, lovely views and really the perfect place to recharge and recuperate. The natural pool was so good. Would definitely recommend reaching the place before light begins to fade and much earlier if its the rainy season. If you don't have a 4x4, best to park the vehicle and walk to the cottage (again, if its the rainy season). If you are walking, pack light, don't leave yourself a lot to carry since its about a 15 minute walk. Definitely on the list of places I would re-visit.

Lakmal and wife are great friendly hosts. Their house is very clean and has a very natural view of the mountain. I highly recommend his place for anyone who is interested in visiting Kandy.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez Nilantha et Bilani !! Cest une famille très accueillante et la communication était très facile. Leur maison est très agréable, située dans un environnement paisible, à proximité du lac et de nombreuses randonnées. Les lits des chambres sont très confortables et la grande terrasse ainsi que la grande pièce de vie sont très agréables. On recommande chaleureusement !

Surangi's place is a wonderful spacious independent accomodation which is easy to find. It is on the first floor with personal entrance. there is a great deal of privacy, coziness and comfort. it is a remarkable place if you are travelling with your family. comes with all necessary amenities. Surangi is an excellent host. always cooperative and took great care during the stay. go for it.

Location is really good, you ll have a great view of the valley and surrounding mountains. Breathtaking views. House is really nice and clean. Staff members are really friendly. They communicate well and they can cook 👨‍🍳 well. If you want to use the pool please let them know early, pool is having fresh water from mountains. If you have a driver, he/she can have their own drivers unit at the back of the house. Rooms are really good and all the rooms have attached bathrooms. This place is good for 8 people. We will be back again ☺️🤩🎉

We rented this place for 2 weeks and it was amazing. Hosts were really helpful and friendly. Place is very clean and all interior and furnitures were very comfortable. Situated in a very clam place perfect for long holiday with family
