Farmstay holiday rentals in Central Province

It was a pleasant stay in Aselas bunglow. Had a fire place where we enjoyed some time having our drinks and enjoying around. Beautiful view around the house. Good food on the table. Overall happy me☺️

Depending on the type of person you are, you could either love this spot or not. We LOVED it as it had INCREDIBLY helpful staff who communicated well and couldn't do more to help fulfill any of our requests. The breakfast was delicious and an abundance of food provided in one meal. It is very safe and easy to go on walks around the area. It is private and located in the middle of tea fields. If you want hustle and bustle of a town, then this is quite far out of that. If you want modern and new, then this is not for you. But if you want peace, calm and lovely surroundings with cooler weather, then absolutely. We loved our stay and were very comfortable. The host organized our transfer from the station to the accommodation, and he was outstanding - a tour guide as well as the driver - he told us many stories of the area - so knowledgeable!! There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance - we went to Frostbite for dinner - and quirky place with really good food!!

Pradeepsetiyanake und seine Frau sind äußerst freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeber gewesen.. Wir haben uns dort sofort wohlgefühlt, wozu nicht zuletzt besonders die warmherzige Art der Gastgeber beigetragen hat. Die Zimmer sind zwar einfach gestaltet, bieten aber alles, was man für einen schönen Aufenthalt benötigt. Vor dem Zimmer kann man überdacht sitzen und die Natur genießen. Der Garten und der überdachte Speise-/Aufenthaltsraum sind mit viel Liebe gestaltet. Hinzu gab’s noch viele Tipps, was wir in der Umgegend unternehmen können (z.B. Wanderungen in der Knuckles Range, Besuch des fantastischen Rathna-Ella Wasserfalles, Raja Maha Viharaya (großer und wichtiger Buddhistischer Tempel)). Eine stimmungsvolle 2-stündige Bootstour auf dem Sorabora-See zum Sonnenaufgang mit beeindruckender Vogelvielfalt hat uns Pradeepsetiyanake ebenfalls für einen sehr günstigen Preis vermittelt. Tja, und dann das Essen: superlecker und preiswert - wir waren immer kurz vorm platzen!

Wir haben wunderbare Tage bei Liz verbracht. Wir haben fein gegessen und sie hat unseren Kindern jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen. Optimaler Standort für Tagesausflüge zum botanischen Garten oder zum Ambuluwawa Tower. Wir können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen!

Charini’s place is lovely, she was very accommodating to our needs and there is a caretaker available 24/7. Views are spectacular and not too far from town. Living room is comfy but it is cold in this area at night so opt for the additional heaters!

Accom is as described - basic amenities provided, hairdryer on request. My friends and I enjoyed the padi field view right in front of our rooms. Sigiriya rock fortress can be seen from the lake which is a short walk away from the accom. Hospitable host; refreshing fruit juice was provided on arrival and departure. We wanted to catch the sunset after we arrived, and the host arranged for her son to guide us to the water tank to catch the beautiful sunset. We enjoyed the nature walk to the water tank a lot. Food is awesome, recommended to try their local meal!

We had a real good time there. The view from the balcony is spectacular and the host and his family were really kind. It’s not the most luxurious flat but I would book again. Especially if you take the train from Nanu oya to Ella it’s perfect because it’s in walking distance to the train and you can visit n. Eliya also really easily

Le logement était magnifique, avec une vue incroyable face aux plantations de thé, reposant et apaisant. Nous avons adoré ! Il y avait du thé pour le petit déjeuner mais pensez à prévoir le reste. L’endroit est vraiment isolé au bout d’une route très endommagé, il manque un peu d’indications. Mais le cadre est vraiment magnifique.

Wat een uniek verblijf in deze prachtige omgeving! De cabinne is enkele kms van het centrum gelegen maar is goed bereikbaar. De gastheer is erg behulpzaam en voorziet een warm onthaal en goed ontbijt of andere maaltijden. Daarbij kan je via Julias een zeer interessante en betaalbare rondleiding krijgen door de omgeving. Zeker aan te raden!

Our stay here was absolutely fantastic. Everything—from the warm welcome by the team, to the delicious food, to the stunning view over the lake—was just perfect. Kumar took excellent care of us, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Coconut Escapes was everhthing we could have wished for and more🥥 We stayed for 2 nights in actual paradise The staff were amazing, so friendly, super helpful, went above and beyond. Food was phenomenal, tried a big variety of Sri Lankan food and I couldn't fault it, including the floating breakfast which was such a treat! Drinks were lovely including fresh coconuts Surrounded by nature, beautiful coconut farm and a nice and peaceful break. Went on a complimentary tractor ride which was fun and they offered plenty of other activities but after a long flight we opted to relax. Pool was fantastic, we were also delivered a surprise blow up flamingo which was a lovely treat. Cannot fault this place. If in doubt book it!

Nestled in a peaceful location within a tea plantation. The surrounding area is stunning, and the 1.3km walk to the river and bridge provides a chance to soak in the beauty and get some exercise. A small charming village is also nearby, with friendly residents and a very small shop. The host is friendly, courteous, and always willing to go the extra mile, they made our stay truly enjoyable, especially for the food. The meals prepared at the villa were exceptional and provided a good introduction to Sri Lankan dishes. It's important to note that the villa has many stairs throughout. While this wasn't a major issue for us, it's something to consider if you have mobility limitations. Additionally, the access road is best suited for four-wheel drive or higher clearance vehicles. Overall Villa Glengariff is a fantastic choice for those seeking a peaceful getaway with stunning views and exceptional food.

Very warm welcome in this guest house. The view is beautiful and the food is good. The rooms are very large and the beds too. The building is an old one and is very charming. The bathroom are simple but clean with hot water. Over all, the owner is very very friendly and gave us plenty of advice to discover the region. The lipton’s Seat is a pure beauty, one of our best walk in Sri Lanka with magical landscapes.

Nice accommodation in a good area. The staff were very helpful with our luggage and helping us check in. They also prepared a takeaway breakfast for us as we were leaving early on day of check out. The beds were large and comfortable. There was a slight lack of communication via messaging as I didn’t recieve any replies but the accommodation was easy to find and staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival. Overall we were happy with this stay and would recommend people to use in the future.

Wow. We absolutely adored the trip. The accommodation is simply stunning, every bedroom was spacious and the communal areas so well maintained. The staff were all attentive, helpful and polite. Mr Maha was always on hand to make sure we had everything we needed. He arranged a tour of a local tea factory and always had a lovely smile on his face. The location is very remote. There are bugs and insects. So take a driver (accommodation available) and bug spray. Food was lovely and a great choice. We had massages, which were arranged by Mr Maha and were absolutely fantastic. Some of our group did a cooking class which they loved. We all were able to taste their food. Genuinely such a beautiful place to stay surrounded by nature and peace. Five stars! Highly recommended

We had the most wonderful time at Zee’s Garden, we even booked on another night as we loved it so much. From the warm welcome, the incredible view, and the beautiful room with terrace - we were blown away! Safiya was very helpful and kindly organised transport for us too. The traditional breakfast was the best we have had in Sri Lanka! We will definitely be back next year :)

Eomal e sua moglie, incluso tutto lo staff, ci hanno trattati quasi come dei figli, sono stati dolcissimi e ci hanno trasmesso il loro amore per quello che fanno, dal trattamento del cliente alla passione del luogo in cui vivono, in una vallata stupenda nei pressi di Ohiya. Colazione e cena ottime, servizio impeccabile, ci siamo sentiti come a casa. Essendo stato il mio compleanno, mi ha organizzato insieme alla mia fidanzata una sorpresa inaspettata coinvolgendo gli altri ospiti, è stato davvero gradito. Escursioni stupende da fare in zona, dal Pekoe Trail agli Horton Plains, per gli amanti del trekking un vero paradiso. Grazie ancora davvero per lo splendido soggiorno ❤️🙏🏻

Vi ankom med toget til byen, her blev vi hentet af Wilson (arbejdsmanden) og deres driver. Da vi kom til huset havde Mary (kokken) tilberedt fantastisk mad. Under hele opholdet følte vi os meget hjemme, her nød vi Marys mad og deres anbefalinger.

Stunning location and property, we had the most glorious weekend here. If you’re looking for something special to relax this is the place to treat yourself. Loved every minute!
