Amy had milk for me in the fridge when i arrived and cereals, which was a lovely touch. The place is quaint, had everything i needed, and Amy had great local info at hand, which was appreciated. Was perfect for a gateway and was exactly what i needed.

Fantastic spacious, clean and extremely comfortable cottage in an idyllic tranquil setting. My dog and I had a wonderful stay with plenty of room for him to run around the large property or chill out on the verandah and watch the farm animals next door. Very relaxing great rural environment with perfect setting and a wonderful host.

one of my all time favourite holiday stays in the north island, loved sharing it with friends this time. Simple in the best possible old school kiwi bach sense, but with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Wonderfully remote to get away from it all, beautiful scenery and fantastic outdoor space to relax in any weather.

I’m glad I came across this amazing home to spend our New Year! It’s peaceful, beautiful, clean and tidy. Julie is an amazing host. Everything was perfect. Her instructions were clear and we had all the things we needed for a great time away from the city. The beach is only a 7 min drive from the house. Lots of games for both adults and kids. We’d definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a piece of paradise!

We loved Hannah’s place! A beautiful spot not far from havelock with great amenities. We loved the outdoor spaces and the house was spacious, clean and had a great vibe. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway and some sun! Thanks so much Hannah and family!!

Sherri's Abode was absolutely amazing 🏠👏! It was the best home we've experienced in the area, beating out all the other places we've tried in the past. Me and my family were wholeheartedly endorse this, and I'm confident you'll love it too - it's truly exceptional! My niece’s fave is the coffee machine and most of us coffee lovers enjoyed it. This is truly luxury accomodation of a very high standard, in a stunning location. Dinah and Stew were friendly, generous and helpful and went above and beyond in accomodating our requests. We had a magical few days of swimming in the lovely warm pool, admiring the views and using the well stocked kitchen. Many thanks for an amazing stay!

Our second stay at Tiger House Hermitage this May was truly magical. Everything comes together here: the privilege of being on this land, the vistas that you won't find anywhere else in Hawke's Bay- breathtakingly beautiful, the seclusion, birdsong, history, old trees & the walk down through Arapata to reach Birdwoods gallery & cafe. Then there's the richly envisioned barn renovation- so unique, light-filled & spacious. The fun Plungee for a bracing dip in winter, & the old clawfoot bath to soak in under the stars- so many stars, the wood burners to keep the place toasty warm in the evenings. Lovely to see the growth of the plantings & the changes on this visit. A unique & special place with a rich story, that our lives have now woven through too. Thank you Woody for the magic.

We had to book last minute due to a cancelled booking. Paulette was very accomodating. The place was in a beautiful location and I wish we were able to spend longer there. Although there was only 6 of us, it’s the perfect place for large groups and has everything that you need

This was such a great find - I'm so glad we got to spend the weekend here. The location is perfect - exactly what you need to get out of the city. It was so quiet en peaceful. Lovely big kitchen and living room, and the outdoor space is amazing. Krystal was amazing with her instructions and we had everything we needed. The highlight of the trip was standing underneath the stars in the evening - so bright and clear!!! Would highly recommend and cannot wait to go back one day

We had a fabulous few days at this charming cottage, the hosts were amazing and so helpful and amenable. We took our horses with us so had a paddock for them which was superb to have them close by. The outlook from the cottage was beautiful, it was the perfect getaway and we will definitely be back.

A great location, quiet and removed from the hustle and bustle of the cities, AND a short drive to nearby towns and cities. The place is spacious and our dog Pickles loves running around the property. There’s a sheep paddock next to the property, love it! Exceeded our expectations. The bread, coffee, tea and milk are a nice touch as well. We would definitely stay here again!

This venue was exactly what we were after. It is rustic, and cozy, and it was what we were expecting. It is dog friendly, which was great because we took our German shepherd. The bathroom is spacious and well set up. We kept our luggage there as well. The kitchenette had everything we needed: jug, microwave, electric frying pan, and outside at the wine bar a weber BBQ and an air fryer. Pete was fantastic and stocked the fridge with bacon, eggs, bread and butter, and a bottle of wine. It was incredibly thoughtful and generous of him, and we were delighted to make bacon and egg butties one cold morning! Pete also left a bag of dog treats which our girl would've devoured except she has a tightly controlled diet due to allergies. Again though, so incredibly thoughtful! Pete had also set up the brazier ready for a fire, with plenty of wood. We had two lovely evenings outside by the fire! Pete is a kind and thoughtful host, and so helpful! Would highly recommend.

Diane's place is great, super house layout, great views and very peaceful.

Beautiful home, the photos do not do this place justice. Wenhua was very hospitable and very easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this place to stay.

Great spot for a short stay. Had everything I needed and everything was clean and tidy. Bed was really comfortable. Very private little unit. I really appreciate being able to stay with my dogs. Thanks again

The Schoolhouse is a wonderful peaceful retreat on a lovely piece of land by the Tukituki River. Ange the host was very friendly and helpful. Felt right at home with everything you need especially in a well equipped kitchen and not to mention an impressive DVD and book collection to satisfy any guest.
