Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Central Athens Regional Unit

Giannis was the best host! Friendly, communicative and helpful, he provided lots of information and tips about the area and Athens. His love for the city and his home was really apparent. The house is quiet, clean and full of art and nice touches, he is obviously creative and it was refreshing to stay in a place with real character! The best thing was the view from the terraces, with the acropolis and city laid before you. Watching the sunset and the lights come on at night was a highlight of our trip! We loved the village feel of the location, walkable to the centre or an inexpensive taxi ride home up the hill. Thank you Giannis, you’re great :)

It is very convenient location. Apartment is very nice and clean. Isabella keeps in touch well and very detail instructions. She always responds timely and keeps us transition smoothly! This was a great stay for the price! A nice walk into the city center, (15 min) but the restaurants around the corner are way better than in the city center and better prices for the quality! Very local restaurants! I only wish the WiFi had been better, was very spotty

Katerina was super easy to communicate with and very prompt. We loved the quirky stone cottage and especially having some outside space. The location would be hard to beat. We walked everywhere. Lots of great places to eat and drink and the immediate area has a very local feel. Would stay again for sure!

We had a great stay at Maria's apartment. the place was spotless, spacious and equipped with air-conditioning, kitchen equipment and balconies. Maria is an amazing, welcoming host who's always available and gave us very detailed instructions on how to get to the apartment from the airport. Only thing worth noting, the apartment is 15-20min walking distance from the old town. (only 5 via metro)

Christo’s place was even better than we expected! It’s super comfortable, spacious, luminous and just beautiful! We also loved the kitchen, it was very equipped. The area is perfect, very calm and close to key places in Athens. Hopefully we can come back soon!

Stayed here for a week during a conference at Harokopio University. Felt like a perfect location, not too far from Monastiraki, Gazi, or the acropolis, and right next to the supermarket and the Petralona line 1 stop. The place was very nice especially for the price, and it was great to have the outdoor patio space. Konstantina was hospitable and gave a lot of good restaurant and other recs. Highly recommend!

Magda is a wonderfully responsive host, and her Airbnb is beautiful, has super easy access to the heart of Athens yet is on a quiet street. She's gone to the trouble of creating her own little booklet of recommended sites and restaurants broken down by most of the surrounding neighborhoods. We followed at least one of her recommendations for a special dinner (Dopios), and it was wonderful! Her place is immaculate, her kitchen well-stocked with appliances for cooking as well as coffee, sugar, tea, some jellies and a few cooking spices which simplified things for us, especially in the mornings. Her aesthetic taste is superb, so taking brief breaks from our lengthy city treks each day in the apartment was a soothing respite. Efharestó, Magda, for a wonderful stay. We will recommend your Airbnb to any friends who plan to visit Athens.

Fantastiskt fin lägenhet i Gazi med närhet till många bra restauranger. Uppskattade särskilt den generellt höga standarden på lägenheten, att det fanns uteplats i två väderstreck och läget med promenadavstånd till det mesta. Vi kommer definitivt vilja boka denna lägenhet igen nästa gång vi är i Aten.

Amazing stay - area was beautiful, accommodation exactly as described and Charis gave clear directions and instructions of everything - Nico welcomed us and took the time to explain everything to us which was lovely too! Dîner en amoureux loin de la foule Athénienne et profiter du jacuzzi en admirant le coucher du soleil, puis se réveiller le matin toujours avec cette même vue incroyable sur l’acropole sont des moments de vie privilégiés que mon épouse et moi garderons longtemps en mémoire… Merci Agis et Gina ❤️❤️

Can’t say enough good things about this sanctuary above the trees in the Kolanaki neighborhood! An authentic Athens apartment in a fabulous neighborhood. Our host Alex was waiting for us at the front door when our cab pulled up and showed us all around. He immediately responded to an evening request for help when we couldn’t quite manage the door locks. Great service, warm hospitality and a stellar apartment for our first visit to Athens. Definitely hope to come again.

It was one of my best stays ever. Our hosts were super friendly, flexible and responsive. One of the highlights to me was surprisingly not the view (although that was fantastic as well) but the cleanliness and the soft sheets on the bed. Definitely will stay here next time! Thank you so much!

This is an outstanding place for 2 to explore the archeological ruins in Athens. Walking distance to everything. Great flat with everything you would need—great kitchen supplies, washing machine, fabulous patio with gorgeous views of the Parthenon, especially lit up at night. Lot of restaurants in the area—just enough off the main touristy area to be quality and of good value. Responsive host. Just a perfect all around stay.

Fantastic apartment in central Athens. We stayed for 5 days/4 nights and couldn’t have picked a better place for our trip. Yannis & Tax were extremely helpful and gave us a ton of recommendations, including arranging our airport pick up. All the main sights are walkable from the apartment, and despite there being lively bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood, once the door and windows close it was really quiet for a good nights sleep. The decor inside is to a very high standard, the kitchen has everything you need to prepare breakfast and a light lunch or dinner. The terrace is comfortable and the pool a lovely touch.

My wife and I had an amazing stay at Panos’s airbnb. This is my 5th stay in Athens and my favorite so far! The apartment was clean, spacious, and comfortable. And the location was great, centrally located to the historic city center and easy for drivers if you have a rental car. And of course the view of the Acropolis from the balcony is amazing.

This team was extremely responsive, friendly, and helpful with any and all questions / concerns that we had. With four people on this listing, someone was always available to answer. The views were beautiful and it was less than a 10 minute walk to the city center. While the bathroom was a bit small the place itself was very clean and we are so happy we stayed here.

Pulitissimo, nuovo, moderno, ordinato, funzionale. L’appartamento è più grande di quanto non sembri in foto ed è dotato di due ampi terrazzi, di cui uno regala tramonti mozzafiato sulla città e l’altro ha una bellissima vista sulla collina del Licabetto. I due terrazzi, inoltre, collocati nei due lati opposti della casa, hanno il pregio di creare una piacevole ventilazione. Il bagno ha una doccia abbastanza ampia. La cucina, anche se piccola, è comoda e organizzata con tutto l’occorrente. Il letto è comodo e non si sentono rumori dalla strada. Il quartiere di Exarchia è il più creativo della città ed è pieno di localini e ottimi ristoranti (a mio avviso senza dubbio la zona migliore in cui soggiornare prima che diventi troppo turistica). Insomma, si può dire che l’appartamento di Chris è il punto di riferimento ideale ad Atene. Mi sono sentita come a casa e non mi è mancato veramente nulla. Consigliatissimo!

Place was super clean and exactly like the photos. Bus and metro stops are 5 mins away, so getting around is easy. Main spots like the Acropolis and port are a bit far, but manageable. Manos was extremely helpful, gave solid local tips, and let us check in early — really appreciated that.

Great stay at this Airbnb! Good central location in Athens near a Metro stop and with a rooftop view of the Acropolis. Nice to have a hot tub. nice touch to have a bottle of wine and an espresso machine. Clean. Spacious rooms with a kitchen, living room, and bedroom. The bed is comfortable and the towels are great…. Soft, large, and absorbent. It was a bit lacking in storage space, shelves, place to put suitcases. It is a bit difficult to gain access. You need to be online, connect via an app to unlock the door to get into a tiny elevator, go up six floors and open the inside door using the app again. But it worked. The host is very responsive via the Airbnb app and quite accommodating. We recommend this place.

This apartment was a perfect stay in Athens. It’s very nice inside and is in walking distance to many shops and cafes. We had a great time!

Gorgeous apartment. The pictures do not do it justice because it is even more beautiful in person. It was very spacious. The beds were big and comfortable and very clean. The balcony was stunning. There was a table to eat, a sofa to lounge on, and a hammock. Stunning view of the acropolis and modern olympic stadium. The hosts were very responsive and gave very clear instructions on how to access the apartment. They even offer luggage storage with detailed instructions. I wish we could have stayed longer than 1 night. The neighbourhood below is full of delicious restaurants. There is a paid public parking parkade nearby. The location is further from the area of the acropolis so a bus would be needed. Would love to come back in the future.
