Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Central Athens Regional Unit

This place was a nice respite after our long sightseeing days. I could definitely spend an extended time here. There was a very nice outdoor space to enjoy and the inside had everything we needed. There were nice treats and snacks left for us in arrival that saved us having to go out and get anything when we arrived. We really appreciated the time in this place. The only thing to be aware of is you must be able to do stairs for entry. They are wide and sturdy though. It’s a lovely staircase. Overall a pleasant stay. Wish we had more time to sit and enjoy the atmosphere but we were trying to get all the sights in. We were just a brief cab ride from all the most popular sites. Thank you!

Giannis was the best host! Friendly, communicative and helpful, he provided lots of information and tips about the area and Athens. His love for the city and his home was really apparent. The house is quiet, clean and full of art and nice touches, he is obviously creative and it was refreshing to stay in a place with real character! The best thing was the view from the terraces, with the acropolis and city laid before you. Watching the sunset and the lights come on at night was a highlight of our trip! We loved the village feel of the location, walkable to the centre or an inexpensive taxi ride home up the hill. Thank you Giannis, you’re great :)

This was a great stay for the price! A nice walk into the city center, (15 min) but the restaurants around the corner are way better than in the city center and better prices for the quality! Very local restaurants! I only wish the WiFi had been better, was very spotty

We had a great stay at Maria's apartment. the place was spotless, spacious and equipped with air-conditioning, kitchen equipment and balconies. Maria is an amazing, welcoming host who's always available and gave us very detailed instructions on how to get to the apartment from the airport. Only thing worth noting, the apartment is 15-20min walking distance from the old town. (only 5 via metro)

Christo’s place was even better than we expected! It’s super comfortable, spacious, luminous and just beautiful! We also loved the kitchen, it was very equipped. The area is perfect, very calm and close to key places in Athens. Hopefully we can come back soon!

Fantastic!! We booked it for the amazing views of the Acropolis but didn’t realize that it was also in the perfect part of town and everything was walkable!! This place was better than amazing and Maria was a fantastic host! Do not hesitate to book this. And enjoying the evening views after a day of touring with a glass of wine on the rooftop patio is just an amazing bonus!!

Magda is a wonderfully responsive host, and her Airbnb is beautiful, has super easy access to the heart of Athens yet is on a quiet street. She's gone to the trouble of creating her own little booklet of recommended sites and restaurants broken down by most of the surrounding neighborhoods. We followed at least one of her recommendations for a special dinner (Dopios), and it was wonderful! Her place is immaculate, her kitchen well-stocked with appliances for cooking as well as coffee, sugar, tea, some jellies and a few cooking spices which simplified things for us, especially in the mornings. Her aesthetic taste is superb, so taking brief breaks from our lengthy city treks each day in the apartment was a soothing respite. Efharestó, Magda, for a wonderful stay. We will recommend your Airbnb to any friends who plan to visit Athens.

We were blown away by the location in Athens and Eva’s assistance from booking to checking out. Great location, so close to Acropolis and Plaka. She sent us recommendations for everything and arranged taxis for arrival and departure. The apartment is spacious, clean, and has incredible views. We would definitely stay again!!

Nikos and Christina were very helpful, kind and responsive the whole time we stayed. The place was exactly what we wanted and expected. Would definitely stay there again next time we’re in Athens.

stelios was a great host with good communication and good tips her place is very well located in relation to the center of Athens and the different activities good restaurants nearby and a great glacier with amazing scents 5 min walk as well as supermarket in clear if you have to pass in this pretty capital feel free to come to its place it is a great location not far from tourist activities while being in a quiet area Metro is a 5 min walk. stelios is a host with good sociable and very responsive recommendations he is very kind and makes sure that your stay in Athens goes perfectly if I have to go back to Athens I will go back to his place with my eyes closed.

It was one of my best stays ever. Our hosts were super friendly, flexible and responsive. One of the highlights to me was surprisingly not the view (although that was fantastic as well) but the cleanliness and the soft sheets on the bed. Definitely will stay here next time! Thank you so much!

Amazing views!! Perfect for 2 people. The place is very clean and was comfy to stay in. Easy to walk to several great restaurants! The patio is sooo great to hang out on and stare at the acropolis. 10/10 recommend.

Great apartment with a beautiful view of acropolis, church and rooftop cinema restaurant. I felt safe walking around this area at night and we were so close to everything we needed! The beds were comfy and overall was a great place to stay!

The absolute best location and view in Athens!

My wife and I had an amazing stay at Panos’s airbnb. This is my 5th stay in Athens and my favorite so far! The apartment was clean, spacious, and comfortable. And the location was great, centrally located to the historic city center and easy for drivers if you have a rental car. And of course the view of the Acropolis from the balcony is amazing.

This was a perfect location for a city break and wider exploration of the riviera, historical surroundings and beautiful islands. The balconies had incredible views, one sunny at breakfast and one to watch the sunset over a late meal or bottle of wine. Small kitchen - 2 hot plates would have been useful instead of one. Equipment and extras were much appreciated. The area looks grubby at first, until you realise its quirky and cool with fab bars, coffee shops, supermarkets and quirky shops, which seem more open at weekends. Easy walk down from Lycabettus hill opposite (we took the funicular up after a long day exploring). Views up there are amazing, especially over a cocktail 🍸

Wonderful location. Within minutes of walking to anything you want. Place was comfortable, clean and spacious. Great showers and hot water. AC worked. Best of all, were how wonderful the hosts are. They helped us arranged for transportation from Airport and during a taxi strike. I’d stay here again because of them and the place.

Doros was a great host. He provided detailed information. Apt. is at a great location. We will rent this Apt whenever we visit Athens.

This apartment was a perfect stay in Athens. It’s very nice inside and is in walking distance to many shops and cafes. We had a great time!

Gorgeous apartment. The pictures do not do it justice because it is even more beautiful in person. It was very spacious. The beds were big and comfortable and very clean. The balcony was stunning. There was a table to eat, a sofa to lounge on, and a hammock. Stunning view of the acropolis and modern olympic stadium. The hosts were very responsive and gave very clear instructions on how to access the apartment. They even offer luggage storage with detailed instructions. I wish we could have stayed longer than 1 night. The neighbourhood below is full of delicious restaurants. There is a paid public parking parkade nearby. The location is further from the area of the acropolis so a bus would be needed. Would love to come back in the future.

Absolutely perfect. A truly lovely apartment that felt like staying in a friend's well-loved home. Everything was thoughtfully arranged and genuinely cozy—we settled in and felt at home immediately. The photos don't do justice -- space feels even better in person, with all sorts of charming details we kept discovering. The neighborhood was also fantastic—full of life and interesting places to explore. This is exactly what we hope for with Airbnb: a real home with warm character, not another bland rental. We'd happily stay here again and would recommend it without hesitation. A special place that made our trip memorable.
