It can be reached by public transport: buses C30 C31 C32 departing approximately every hour from the Como San Giovanni railway station, Como Lago Ferrovie Nord or from Piazza Matteotti towards Como-Bellagio, take about 8 minutes to reach the Blevio stop - Decorations Savio, about 100 m away from the house. A pleasant alternative to traditional public transport may be the use of Lake Como navigation boats, departing from Piazza Cavour in the direction of Torno, from where walking for about 15 minutes you will reach the destination. I ALLOW ME TO STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE SMALLEST AND CHEAPEST CAR, TO MOVE INDEPENDENTLY, AS IN OUR AREA PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TAXIS ARE NOT COFORTABLE Villa Pasta The villa was built in the early XIX cen- tury and was bought in 1830 by the famous opera singer Giuditta Pasta hosting space for its several guests. In the park the fol lowing built: the studio painting of Clelia, Giuditta's daughter, who attended the Brera Academy in Milan; the cafe-house, a small cave to cool in the summer; the wooden theater where Giuditta practised singing. Captain Wilhelm Locke, grandson of the famous philosopher, drowned in front of his wife and other guests in the lake area in front of the villa. Later his daughter erected a gravestone in his memory. In the small ceme- tery of Blevio it is possible to visit the grave of Giuditta Pasta who died in 1865.

The appartment has a really great terasse with e stunning view towards Stresa and the three islands. Further the kitchen is well equipped so it‘s easy to cook your own dinner & enjoy the view. Only point: In summer it gets really warm inside because there are no blindes on the windows. But for us it was okay, we just left the windows open during nights & enjoyed the view.

Claudio and Zuzana have done an amazing job of creating a peaceful and private place to stay. The space is well designed and all fixtures and furnishings are well chosen and of a high standard. They were lovely people to meet and converse with, and they helped with local restaurant reservations. We would definitely return to stay next time we are in the area.

Elena is really wonderful, we were with 3 girls who had an important race and she had an eye for it, welcoming us with something sweet for breakfast, with water in the fridge and coffee pods. The house is very well maintained, clean and spacious. She was very quick in responding to messages and flexible on arrival and departure times. Absolutely recommended to stay in this house. Our party of 11 so enjoyed our stay at the castle! The pictures are extremely accurate, but nothing compared to seeing it in person for the first time. It was stocked with everything we needed, especially everyday things for cooking, towels, blankets, etc. The walk up/down can be tough, but after the first couple of days we adjusted fairly well. All very worth it for such a unique experience and stay!! We also loved exploring the town of Settimo Vittone and the surrounding area. Karl was an excellent host and communicator, as well as Moreno and his wife. :)
