High Panoramic View - Rooftop Apartment

BenjaminRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The appartment has a really great terasse with e stunning view towards Stresa and the three islands. Further the kitchen is well equipped so it‘s easy to cook your own dinner & enjoy the view. Only point: In summer it gets really warm inside because there are no blindes on the windows. But for us it was okay, we just left the windows open during nights & enjoyed the view.

Chalet Boden

JonRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Jill's Chalet Boden is a real gem. The space was comfortable with everything we needed, and plenty of space for 4 people. The views were all beautiful, ranging from picturesque views of the wooded hill to breathtaking views of the mountains and the town in the valley below. The town is cute without being touristy, and the townspeople are very friendly. There's a lot to do within driving distance. Milan and Lake Come are a little over an hour away. Lago Maggiore, along with a couple of smaller and less touristy, though no less beautiful, lakes are a 15 minute drive. I only have two caveats. First, it's not handicapped accessible. The path to the house from the road, while short and not particularly arduous, would be unnavigable for my 87 year old mother, which is a shame as she would absolutely adore this place. You also need a car. Public transportation isn't really an option. But if you can walk reasonably well and have a car, Chalet Boden is amazing. A week wasn't enough.

Malvarosa Vacation Home

HeatherRating, 5 stars9 months ago
This place is ideal for a couple with teens who get along, for a central getaway in the Lakes District. The house is lovingly redecorated, clearly a family compound, with personal but tasteful and practical furniture and decor. The historic coal stove in the kitchen is just for decoration. Good double bed in a beautiful and enormous master bedroom. Street can be busy even if narrow, in heart of historic mountain village neighborhood. Double-paned windows keep out noise and despite proximity to much water (which sounds lovely) there were no insects or mold. Easy to get a cross-current. Perfect bathroom but a 70x70 cm shower is quite narrow even if it had pleasant flow. Fresh basil in flowered window boxes was a nice treat for our pasta from the nearby convenience store. A delightful discovery.

It was not a pleasure vacation but a necessity to be close to the hospital. What I was interested in was a quiet place, close to the center and clean, and I found it there.

Terrace on the lake

JoanneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I stayed here for 3 nights in early June with my two teenage kids and we enjoyed it very much! The lake views were beautiful, and so was the location. We loved being in a small town (with a number of good restaurants) but still close to Lugano, which is also accessible by ferry at a nearby stop. The place was exactly as described and was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Host was responsive and helpful. It's about 25m to get to lake level, where we went swimming a number of times. There's no beach or designated entry point (that I could see anyway) but you can hop in off the edge where the boats are tied up. My kids loved it! We didn't have any issue finding parking at the lot at the top of the village (although the spots were quite tight). It's around a 5-minute walk to the apartment which is well worth it to be so close to the lake! Recommended!
