We really enjoyed our stay at Tue’s house. It is a great size with good bedrooms and plenty of living space. Ideal for our family of 7. The house is well equipped with plenty to do - swimming pool, bikes, pool table, large garden etc. The local area is very quiet with a good beach and some nice local walks. The weather wasn’t great while we were there, which was unfortunate and meant we couldn’t make full use of the pool etc. but it was great on the sunny days. It could perhaps be improved with some soft covers for the sun beds and maybe another sun umbrella. All in all though we had a great stay.

Es war ein traumhafter Aufenthalt. Das Haus war sauber, toll ausgestattet und schön ruhig. Der Pool war klasse und die Kommunikation sowohl mit Daniela als auch mit ihrer sehr freundlichen Familie war sehr angenehm. Wir waren als Familie da und würden es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Really beautiful home with stunning views, absolutely loved our stay here thanks for having us. Fully equipped kitchen and the space is absolutely gorgeous throughout. Brilliant outdoor area for dining and sunbathing. Garden and pool in full sunshine whenever you want to use them but a nice shaded area for dining. Only slight disappointment was the home did not have air con as advertised (it was underfloor heating) so we were quite hot at night and struggled to sleep. The heating system was adjusted and our host provided fans for each bedroom to try and help cool the house. Overall fantastic property.

We had a great time in Afife and enjoyed our stay at Joaos place. The location was very quiet (except the Honda shop across the street in the daytime) and Afife has not much to offer, which was okay for us but should be known in advance if you plan on eating outside. Porto is great to be reached by train and the beach is very close. With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms there’s enough space for a big group and everything was very comfortable. The pool was open already and was cleaned during our stay. The only thing which I would point out on the negative side is that when we arrived it smelled a bit mouldy, probably due to the rainy weather and the fact that 3 of the bathrooms don’t have windows. The staircase to the lower part of the house is very steep. That’s a fact you should know when travelling with small kids. Joao was perfect to contact and always responded quickly whenever there were any questions. Thanks for having us. We would totally recommend to stay at his place.

Vielen lieben Dank, Rita & João! Rechtzeitig zur Ankunft in Porto erhielten wir eine detaillierte Wegbeschreibung zu den Gegebenheiten vor Ort. Wir wurden äußerst freundlich im Anwesen empfangen und erhielten die Schlüssel. Das Anwesen entspricht exakt den Bildern und es mangelte uns, während des Aufenthalts in Ventosa, an nichts. Wir haben die freie Zeit sehr genossen!

Adoramos a nossa estadia! A casa estava impecavelmente limpa e confortável para nos receber. A Cristina e o seu marido foram muito simpáticos e atenciosos! O espaço exterior é excelente para aproveitar momentos em família, assim como a vista da cozinha/sala, todos os dias jantamos com vista para o pôr do sol. A casa fica muito perto de supermercados, restaurantes e até da praia e dos passadiços. Gostamos muito!

Ana, seu esposo e filhos são pessoas gentis, agradáveis, que prontamente nos receberam em seu lar! Casa aconchegante, depois de 20 dias fora de casa me senti em casa.... Ana, é incrível Espero recebê-la no Brasil!

A lovely and unique stay with your very own waterfall! The host is quick to respond and most helpful. We enjoyed our stay either out exploring or by the pool.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille. Chaleureusement accueilli par Antonio qui nous a donné beaucoup de conseils et a été disponible pendant tout notre séjour pour répondre à nos questions. Nous avons adoré le charme et l’emplacement de cette maison traditionnelle. Proche de la plage et de nombreuses villes à découvrir. Si vous aimez l’authenticité, le clame et les beaux paysages allez-y sans hésitation ! Merci encore à Antonio pour sa gentillesse et sa bienveillance.

Wir durften 2 Wochen im Casa da Luz verbringen und hatten eine sehr schöne und erholsame Zeit. Der Garten des Anwesens ist fantastisch! Während unseres Aufenthaltes war das nebenstehende Haus Casa de Santiago nicht belegt. Anreise und Abreise (Übergabe per Schlüsselsafe) waren problemlos und die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter sehr freundlich und effizient. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können Casa da Luz allen empfehlen, die einen ruhigen und ungestörten Urlaub verbringen wollen.

After spending the last four weeks here I am so sad to be leaving Portugal. The house and the area are just beautiful, and I could not recommend this place enough. A car is a must, but it’s a very pleasant and straightforward drive from Porto airport. The village has a river beach, but if you prefer the sea, Caminha is a 50 minute drive and it’s definitely worth the visit - the beaches are beautiful. Forte da Ínsua restaurant is a must! I would also recommend a day trip to Tui, we took a boat ride and looked at the history and it was just wonderful. I’d also recommend the boardwalk hike along the river from Sistelo. The views are just incredible! The house is in a very rural area, so this place is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet retreat. A huge thank you to the hosts for being so helpful and accommodating!

We had the most wonderful month-long stay at this beautiful home in Portugal. The house itself is stunning—spacious, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. It had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen, which was fully equipped for cooking at home. It really felt like a home away from home. The location is perfect if you’re looking to unwind and enjoy a peaceful break away from the city. It’s calm and quiet, yet only 20–30 minutes by car to some absolutely charming towns nearby—great for day trips and exploring the area. The hosts were absolutely lovely—welcoming, responsive, and genuinely kind. When we unexpectedly had some car trouble, they went out of their way to help us get things sorted quickly, which we really appreciated. All in all, this was a truly fantastic experience and we’re already looking forward to coming back if we’re in Portugal next year. Highly, highly recommended..!

Das kleine Haus ist ein wunderbarer Urlaubsort. Es ist sehr liebevoll und gleichzeitig praktisch eingerichtet. So hat man alles, was man braucht. Die Lage direkt am Meer ist großartig. Gut ist auch, dass es einen Kamin gibt, es kann doch ungemütlich kalt sein abends. Sehr praktisch fand ich den Wintergarten, er heizt sich tagsüber auf und man kann die Wärme für das Haus nutzen. Außerdem ist er die Verbindung von Haus zum Bad - sehr gut gelöst. Wir haben auch das Barbecue häufig benutzt, zumal es im Fischladen um die Ecke fangfrischen Fisch gibt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Altogether a very enjoyable stay. Really well equipped home and generously stocked kitchen. The view from the house is glorious and the location amidst eucaplytus pine wild fennel. A looked after garden with overhanging lemon and lime trees and a series of well tendered lawns is perfect. Lovely 1.5 hr walk up high behnd the house to chapel. Carminha is a beautiful town 2.4 klm away : easy to park and easy getting in and out : lots of restaurants and pasterlerias and cafes. When you just arrive it is worth going 7 klms west along coast road to big supermarket :Continiente (signs on road) to stock up. Local lovely beach on the edge of town located eucaplyptus forest :easy parking- lifeguarded and has cafe. Beaches futher along the coast road . Inland from the house in a nearby village of Murios is small lake open to all for swimming and picnicing.. Great to come back to the house each day and everything to hand. Vitor exceptional host: kind,responisive and organised.

We had a great three-day stay. The place was private, with a spacious bedroom, balcony, and two bathrooms. It was perfect for our dog — we could walk him off-leash in the village. We all enjoyed drinking the cool, fresh water from the mountain fountain! The lake access was a nice bonus. The host was very welcoming and gave great local recommendations. A relaxing and comfortable stay overall! :)

Gute, einfache Unterkunft

O nosso grupo adorou ficar alojado na Casa da Raposa! Este alojamento superou completamente as nossas expectativas. O espaço é bastante amplo e muitíssimo bem decorado. A proprietária revelou-se muito disponível e apresentou-nos diversas sugestões de atividades e passeios para descobrir a região. Uma bela surpresa!

Lugar perfecto para pasar unos días en familia, casa impecable, limpieza y orden, instalaciones muy completas. Carina ha sido una anfitriona perfecta, siempre disponible y con sugerencias de la zona geniales. Sin duda volveremos a disfrutar de esta casa pues nos hemos marchado encantados.

Casa restaurada en un entorno tranquilo y con hermosas vistas. Todo muy bien cuidado. Puedes bajar caminando a Caminha y aprovechar para hacer ejercicio. Si no te apetece hacer playa puedes tomar el sol en el estupendo jardín. Si vas con niños muy apropiado para que jueguen sin molestar a vecinos. Totalmente recomendable.

Das Haus von Aldara und ihrer Familie war wunderbar. Der Garten mit dem Pool ist ein Paradies. Alles sehr sauber und die absolute Ruhe auf dem Land. Täglich wird der Pool und Garten gereinigt. Aldara und ihr Vater waren immer erreichbar und wahnsinnig nett, hilfsbereit und gastfreundlich. Wir waren knapp 3 Wochen dort und haben uns wie zuhause gefühlt. Wir haben absolut nichts zu beanstanden und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Danke für den tollen und erholsamen Urlaub🇵🇹❣️

Wat een fantastische plek om te verblijven! Misschien is het huis wat gedateerd maar het is een fijne plek om te zijn, lekker koel, fijne bedden en een heerlijk balkon aan de westkant met uitzicht op zee. De tropische tuin is werkelijk adembenemend en met liefde ontworpen en aangelegd door de host zelf, mevrouw Rosa Maria. Door de enorme tuin met een grote variëteit aan bomen, struiken en bloemen is er altijd schaduw te vinden. Het huis is eenvoudig ingericht maar wij hebben niets gemist tijdens ons verblijf van 12 dagen. Mevrouw Rosa Maria is bijzonder aardig, zij is er als je haar nodig hebt en altijd bereid om mee te denken of om tips te geven over de omgeving. Die omgeving is prachtig, fijne zandstranden en tal van restaurants en barretjes in Moledo en Caminha. Kortom een plek om zeker terug te komen!

Un lugar espectacular junto a un río y bosque para los amantes de la tranquilidad y la naturaleza. A unos 10 minutos en coche esta Caminha un pueblecito costero con todo lo necesario, además se celebraba una fiesta medieval con un super ambiente y Moledo justo al lado con una playa bonita y tranquila. Pudimos disfrutar del ambiente junto a nuestros perritos. Y agradecer a Umbelina y Antonio por su gran hospitalidad, nos invitaron a una cena con ellos y lo pasamos estupendamente.

Nous avons séjourné 2 semaines en famille avec nos enfants et petits-enfants dans cette très belle propriété tranquille. Un vrai petit coin de paradis offrant le calme et le Confort. La piscine et les vues sont à couper le souffle, spectaculaires. Les photos correspondent exactement. Notre hôte a été très sympathique et l’attention portée par Victor aux détails était parfaite dans la façon de préparer la maison ( linges magnifiques) en s’assurant que nous manquerons de rien Merci pour tout ! Et surtout la délicate attention pour Bruno notre fils. La maison est très bien gérée, propre, changement de linge en cours de séjour très apprécié. Un seul petit bémol la cuisine vraiment très très petite pour hébergement 6 personnes sinon équipée de l’essentiel Nous avons quitté la maison avec regret hâte d’y revenir Je recommande !
