Family-friendly holiday rentals in Callala Beach

We had a lovely stay despite the rain. The fire kept things cosy along with all the lovely interior and thoughtful touches provided by Nicole. My kids loved the house (or tree house as they called it) and cried when we left to go home. Lots of lovely memories made. We will be back.

We loved our stay and found that the unit surpassed our expectations - it was bigger than it seemed in photos, the backyard was more private, and the view from the front terrace was more beautiful. The AC worked well. We repeatedly expressed over the few days how grateful we were that we had booked this spot in particular for its proximity to the beach and hot tub. It was a relaxing space for a few days. No issues. Thanks very much!

From the moment we arrived every detail about guest experience has been thought of. There are so many little, thoughtful details that truly make you feel so welcomed. My highlights were; meeting Greg who was putting the horses to bed and happy for us to wander up and have a chat and meet the animals. The two dogs Chum and Bundy were really friendly and up for a pat. Plus, the duck pond with the viewing platform and seat. So cute! The firepit had all the wood and was ready to go which I really regret not making the most of this. The personalised card, treats and breakfast was really sweet, and they provided tips on making the most of the claw foot bath tub. It's hard to find an AirBNB that still cares so much about guest experience. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the horses and alpacas in the paddock, and waking up in the morning with the view of the horses frolicking around. It's was an unreal experience that allowed us to unwind from our busy lives

Lovely welcoming place and the fire was lit when we arrived which was wonderful. Great place, clean had everything we needed. The only unfortunate thing was the traffic on main road at 4.30am on a Monday/Tuesday, may be different in the weekend but that was the only downfall. Everything else was amazing thank you

Very spacious and comfortable home right across from the beach. It had a fully equipped kitchen with plenty of utensils, pots and pans cups, glasses and plates galore! There was a garage with a table tennis, bikes, surf boards etc which was very handy to have. The backyard was fully enclosed so our little dog was kept safe out there. Couldn’t fault much, definitely recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay, so well located for the beach and also shops / restaurants. Comfortable beds and furnishings and great extras like sunscreen. Will stay again.

We had a fantastic stay at Tim and Caitlin’s. The deck area is huge, with the view looking out to the fields just magical in the afternoon. Plenty of room inside, with a big table and couches and a kitchen with all necessary cooking equipment. We’ll definitely be back! Thanks so much for hosting us.

Had a great time at Damon's place. The kids room and the spa is the big win for the kids. Location is very close to one of the lovely beaches in the area. It's a perfect haven for family getaways. Special thank you to Damon for accomodating us for early check-in and late check-out.

This little cottage is adorable. The house is cosy and quaint. Very comfortable and homely. The back deck and back yard is beautiful. I personally loved the location right next to the stunning Showgrounds for an early morning trail run on Ben’s Walk. Would definitely stay again and will definitely recommend to anyone heading to Nowra. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

This is beautiful place for a relaxing stay. Definitely need a car to get around since the shop in the village has closed. The kitchen is incredible and the bed was so comfy. Louise was amazing at communicating. Would happily stay again and again!

Our family of 3 generations thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home in a peaceful environment close to a beautiful beach. The house has many comfortable spaces to relax either inside or outside either reading, sharing a meal or playing a game. Detailed information provided about the house and local area was really helpful. Would love to stay again.

We think the shack was an understatement it is beautifully furnished main bed is very comfortable a few little treats to go with it. The kitchen is well equipped, and plenty of space for the 3 of us a very large tv to chill out with and plenty of room for our four legged friend to make it her home as well inside & out. Short walk to surf life saving club with amazing views of the ocean. Central to many beautiful beaches & day trips. Renee & Jason are very accommodating and provided many local tips We loved this place.

absolutely amazing stay, you will not be disappointed. The house was warm and inviting. all of the small things are thought of, the owner is very easy to communicate with and very accommodating. The house itself was in an ideal location, clean and gorgeously furnished. The cream on top was being able to bring my dog down and spend quality time with him in the home and at the beach. The wifi was strong and did not fail me as I was working from the house for 6 days. I would highly recommend both the home and the hosts !! Thanks for a brilliant stay ! Kelly

Robin kindly accommodated our booking made at the last minute which we greatly appreciate. The house was beautifully presented and had everything we could have needed including a beautiful garden and outdoor entertaining space that we loved. The house is right on the beach and the sounds of the ocean and water view were made for relaxation, just what we needed. The location is perfect for those who want to be close to ammenities but away from the hustle and bustle. We will definitely look to rebook with Robin again in future.

We loved staying at Bronwyns place. It was really nice, clean and homely and a perfect set up for dogs and babies. It’s in a beautiful setting and Bronwyn was an exceptional host who gave us great local Recommendations and tips. We loved the birds around the property itself was so peaceful. Perfect for a little family holiday.

We had a lovely stay at the Happy Pelican on the Easter weekend. The garden cottage was exactly as pictured and described - light and spacious with everything provided. Truly a home away from home! Heinz was an excellent host - responsive and very welcoming. Highly recommended!

Jennifer and David were wonderful hosts, very friendly and helpful. The home is very well equipped with kitchen and BBQ equipment and utensils and some great essential basics in the pantry as well as supplying us with milk, bread, butter and eggs to get us started. The beds are very comfortable with lovely bed linen. There is fully ducted air conditioning which could warm up the place very quickly when needed. There is a TV with Foxtel. Vineyard Vista is located very close to three wineries, Mountain Ridge, Coolangatta Estate and Two Figs, with even more wineries within the district. We visited all three for wine tasting and had lunch at Coolangatta and it was very nice, however, we may try the pizzas at Mountain Ridge next time along with their locally brewed beer and some lovely wine. Shoalhaven Heads gold course is about a 3 minute drive, as is the surf club and the lovely Shoalhaven River and the pub has a great view of this too. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

Shane was super responsive, helpful, accomodating and gave great recomendations for dinner. The place is so central to the main street in Husky without the noise. The beds and pillows were super comfy and the place was clean and clutter free which I love!

I highly recommend this property as it was stunning. My husband and I went away for two nights for a wedding and from the moment we walked into the door we felt so calm and both in awe at how beautiful the property was. So much thought has gone into this beautiful home and I think it’s one of our favourite spots we have stayed to date. The outside bath was our favourite along with the fireplace to help us relax. The host was great and check in was super easy. We could not fault one thing and we cannot to book again for a weekend reset. The perfect location for anyone wanting to slow down. We stayed as a couple but this place would be amazing to go with two other couples, a family or friends! Location was also great and walking distance into town.

Hosts were lovely & open to answer questions! Space is small, but cozy & had everything we needed! The playful dog greets you in the garden & makes your day a little better :)

Wonderful little cabin attached to a main house, but with private entrance. Exactly what you need for a peaceful break, inc. wallabies multiple times in the garden! Peaceful, quiet and a very responsive host. Would absolutely return.

We had a great stay at Mark and Sandra’s place. The house is very nice and spacious. The description, photos and amenities in the listing are accurate. The kitchen was amazing, there were plenty of pots and pans and kitchen stuff so we had no issues when we prepared our meals. Their place has a very homey ambience. Mark has been very responsive to queries and concerns. We had an issue with the screen door during check in but Mark was able to sort it out asap. We had a very nice stay at their place. We highly recommend their place. Thank you Mark and Sandra for being great hosts!

Eva was a fantastic host who was very contactable, accommodating and SkyView villa had everything we needed for a great long weekend stay. We definitely would love to come back and make the most of the opportunities in the area when it is warmer too!

We had a great stay at Carole’s place in Kangaroo Valley! Very cosy, homey cottage with a well stocked kitchen for cooking, and close to the local town. Carole was very helpful and responsive. It was a beautiful location with lots of wildlife!
