Guest house holiday rentals in Byron Shire Council

I spent a month in Gyan and Simon's boatshed and had the most wonderful time. I slept peacefully with the sound of the waves in the background. I woke up every morning to the birds singing and enjoyed the most incredible sunrises on the beach just four minutes from the house. Endless walks on the beach, through the national park and it's only a stone's throw to the centre of Byron Bay. Everything here has been chosen with love and taste. Delicious organic produce greeted me in the fridge on arrival. The boatshed has everything you need to feel at home. Gyan and Simon are the sweetest and most caring hosts. They gave me as much privacy as I wanted but were always there for me when I needed help. Thanks to their local tips and help with some of the organisation, I was able to explore so much and see the most beautiful places. It was incredible! Leaving this magical place and these beautiful humans was not easy.

I had the pleasure of staying at Kirsten’s cottage while visiting for a family reunion nearby. The space was perfect for our needs, and the check-in process was smooth and straightforward. Kirsten was incredibly responsive to messages and flexible with our requests. The space is clearly a labour of love, and we felt right at home. Comfortable beds, soft pillows, plush linen, everything was taken care of. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

We loved our stay at Doms Beach shack. Suffolk park is a very nice little town with a bus into Byron bay. The beach is a minute walk from the shack and is absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend a sunrise walk. Shack is very clean and tidy and had everything we needed.

Such a beautiful property. We were very pleasantly surprised how gorgeous the pool house was. Very spacious, private, lovely pool. Almost like a luxury villa at a resort. The area very central between Lennox, Suffox Park, Bangalow, Byron. Up high in the hills with stunning views. Comfy bed, comfy space. I had to work a few days, great internet. Prob my most favourite office ever. 🤣. Jenny and Mark very friendly, gave us tips. We will be back. Highly recommend. And I’m a bit if of a fuss pot with accommodation. It’s a winner.

Keats Retreat is a fantastic accommodation. We especially enjoyed the great deck to sit and relax and listen to the birds and enjoy the green. Luxurious bathroom, cute and bright bedroom. Kitchen/living room maybe a bit dark but we only used it to prepare our meals and otherwise spent most of our time on the deck. We also used the pool, which was a great bonus. We were particularly impressed with how clean the place was and how well thought-out everything was, including the rubbish concept and the outside sliding cabinet that contained all the beach stuff etc., that you don't necessarily want inside the place. And then there were all the little details - from fresh juice to sunscreen and mosquito repellent (which was needed). It's a bit away from the centre of Byron Bay but still walking distance (at least for us) to all the restaurants. We also used the bikes, which are good for going into town or Clarkes Beach, but definitely for riding uphill. We would definitely stay here again!

The big blue barn was an excellent, well priced accomodation and Victoria was a great host.

An absolutely wonderful place, peaceful, perfectly situated and Colleen and her family are so lovely and welcoming. Highly highly recommend!

Byron Renegades is a hidden gem. Set right near South Golden Beach, it offers the perfect mix of peace and style. The cottage is beautifully designed with a coastal-Balinese feel, comfortable, clean, and well-equipped with everything you need. The location is unbeatable: private, quiet, with a beautiful view over the water. Whether you're relaxing on the deck or chilling on the hammock, this place is great.

Prairie is a lovely place, very neat and peaceful and looks just like the photos. Kirsty is a very responsive and helpful host and the welcome bottle of Pinot noir and bath salts was a lovely touch. Thanks so much Kirsty you’re a star ⭐️ Emma and Patrick

Sue’s place was by the far the best Airbnb/accomodation we have ever stayed in. The home was absolutely stunning, exactly as described and pictured, if not better! Sue has designed the space beautifully, it has a cosy cottage feel and the use of the space is very functional without sacrificing any stylistic choices. Being a bit of a clean freak, the cleanliness of Sue’s home was impressive. Everything was spotless and it made it easy to feel right at home straight away. The space provided everything we need and the bed was super comfy. There isn’t a single thing that Sue didn’t think of when creating this space. She’s clearly put alot of thought and attention to detail to everything. Sue was so friendly and communicative and was kind enough to provide recommendations for the local area. I really wish we stayed longer and we are already looking forward to returning! Thank you Sue !

Cute, comfortable and cozy cottage like accomodation at back of Isabella's house. Very well set up and fitted out to support a couple or individual traveller. Located a short 5 minute walk from the centre of town, location is very convenient. We couldn't fault anything about our stay, and would happily return to stay if needing accomodation in Byron region again.

Loved the Moroccan feel to this beautiful accommodation. Also loved the quality linen and kitchenware. Mel was a great host and the location is quiet (other than the sounds of beautiful birds) with magnificent tall trees all around. We had a great stay and would love to come back another time.

Jess and Josh's place is absolute bliss. The cottage is a perfect getaway - the longer, the better! The house itself is beautiful, comfortable and well appointed with everything you need. The forest surrounding the cottage is stunning. It's a peaceful and private oasis. The location is fantastic as you're a short drive from the Mullumbimby town centre and only a 15min drive from the beach and other cute towns (many with fantastic local restaurants!). Jessica and Josh were super welcoming and helpful. I stayed five nights and didn't want to leave! Highly recommend for anyone who wants/needs to disconnect a bit and surround themselves in nature.

If you are after a country getaway where you can explore the surrounding areas this is great. We loved our stay and highly recommend Anna's place. We spent alot of time bush walking and visiting the waterfalls. So nice to be in an area with very few people. Anna was lovely to deal with. Thankyou for a great week.

This little place is magic. Like a secluded tree house. The birds were beautiful, the rainforest close enough to touch. The apartment was immaculate and perfect for our stay. Can’t express enough how much we loved our stay.

Another tranquil stay at the Bank House Studio! Even though it rained throughout our stay, we could still enjoy the quaint Main Street and relax watching rain over the pool and beautiful garden 🪴

A lovely place to stay. It was decorated so beautifully and the design was out of this world. My partner and I had such a peaceful stay here and I especially loved the cosy movie room! This has to be one of the nicest Air Bnb’s I’ve been to, and it exceeded all my expectations. The photos don’t do it any justice. The drive into Byron Bay isn’t far at all and theres a cute little convenience / alcohol store walking distance. The bed is AMAZING and all the products in the cottage incl hand soap, shower gel etc smell soooo good. I appreciate the little things! Thankyou for being such a great host!

The location was perfect and the neighborhood was so quiet. It is an easy bike ride or walk to town and we had an awesome breakfast up the road! The place looked just like the pictures. It was clean and very comfortable. We left well rested and loved our stay. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed on my own for 5 nights and Darrel’s cottage was ideal for me. I felt safe knowing i was close to the main house and yet had ample privacy. I adored the veranda surrounded by tropical plants and honeysuckle. Bed was super comfy and the cottage was beautifully appointed. Highly recommended.

Absolutely incredible place. So stunning. Such a beautiful, peaceful, luxurious place. They were SO generous with what was provided - organic incense, wine, chocolate, organic milk, butter and even eggs!
