Great place to relax, in winter and summer. We would love to come here in summer.:)

we had amazing stay , highly recommeng the place for fishing,but not easy to find fish(winter time).I hope go back there asap.

We really loved our stay in Heidi’s cottage! It was even more beautiful in person as you have a whole place with one main cottage and 2 small cabins/sheds. We even got visited by several sheep’s and cows, which made it even better! If you love a very simple and slow lifestyle by getting your own water from the river, no WiFi, heating the place up with your own wood and having an amazing view - this is your call! 10/10 would recommend (we didn’t want to leave)!

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit im Haus von Therese. Das Haus liegt in schöner Landschaft direkt am Fjord. Es war toll, an den sonnigen Wintertagen die Kite Skater auf dem zugefrorenen Fjord zu beobachten. Therese hat sich sehr freundlich um uns gekümmert und war super hilfsbereit. Man muss beachten, dass es im Haus eine sehr steile Treppe gibt. Für manche Personen könnte das ein Hindernis sein. Bei uns hat alles gut geklappt und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Abends haben wir vom nahegelegenen Thai Restaurant leckeres Essen geholt. Die Bus- (Haltestelle direkt am Haus) und Zugverbindungen (von Røyken) nach Oslo sind sehr gut. Ganz besonders möchte ich mich bedanken bei Therese, die immer bemüht war, uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite zu stehen und uns sehr geholfen hat. Ich kann den Aufenthalt in diesem liebevoll gestalteten, kleinen roten Haus sehr empfehlen. Es ist etwas ganz besonderes!

We spent one night in the cabin. Good bus connection with a short hike. Incredibly beautiful area, perfect for hiking, close to the capital. Despite 10 degrees Celsius in the center of Oslo there was still snow and ice on the trails. Keep this in mind when traveling in early spring. The cabin is heated so there is no need to light a fire in the fireplace. The kitchen is well equipped.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location near Vestfossen. If weather is ok you can really enjoy water sports. We were lucky and enjoyed a lot the place. The house is very nice with children as there were a lot of toys . The Billard makes evenings easy with the view of the lake. Everything is ok and host was very nice and kind . Easy instructions. We would strongly recommend to visit the house! Thanks!

Maison très agréable, extremement bien située avec une vue incroyable et accès au lac.

Es war wie bei den vorherigen Besuchen wieder ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in Martes Haus. Auch im Frühsommer können wir die Unterkunft empfehlen. Man merkt, dass das Haus liebevoll gepflegt wird - von Jahr zu Jahr gibt es kleine Veränderungen.

This was our second time staying here and Aleksander has upgraded with a sauna and the outdoor area as well. Lovely place, quiet, everything works great, and close enough to several ski centers and other attractions with plenty to do. The perfect place to disconnect!

Super nice house. You can get all you need here. Per and Lin are very kind and reply messages so fast. I would like to stay here whenever I am in Drammen :)

Kjempefin leilighet med alt man trenger og vel så det. Fullt utstyrt kjøkken med bestikk og servise, skuffer fulle av krydder (og økologisk sukker!). Kaffemaskin klar til bruk (dvs. trengte ikke å kjøpe med kaffe). Skulle man komme til å kjede seg, finnes både Jon Fosse og Jo Nesbø i bokhylla - i tillegg til nyttige turbøker, spill og mye mer. Leiligheten er omsorgsfullt innredet, man føler seg godt ivaretatt. Fri bruk av bassenget var topp. Gratis parkering og superfin beliggenhet. Vi kommer tilbake! Et tips til andre gjester er å handle før man kommer til Holmsbu, da det finnes bare en butikk der.

A magical location, friendly & helpful host. We would recommend it for people who love nature, water, fishing, boating & hiking. As we came during the off season, it was very quiet & peaceful. We did some spring cleaning I guess, but Lene was very responsive & met us to help.

Vi hadde en flott helg på hytta i oktober. Bente og Pål var veldig hjelpsomme og møtte oss der for å sørge for at vi kom oss godt til rette. Hytta er stille, koselig og har alt man trenger. Det er fantastisk å våkne til lydene fra fjorden. Vi gikk en tur og prøvde oss iherdig på fisking 😊 Vi håper å kunne komme tilbake en gang.

Skikkelig fin og hjemmekoselig leilighet, vi hadde det veldig fint i Holmsbu! Ine var alltid lett å få tak på og gjorde det lille ekstra for at vi skulle ha et fint opphold. Anbefales!

The cabin was amazing – very cozy and well planned, with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the sauna and the cold water in front. The area around the cabin is beautiful. We had a great time and felt very relaxed. Highly recommended!

Vi var rigtig glade for at være der. Det lå rigtig godt i forhold til udflugtsmål for en børnefamilie. Udsigten var rigtig smuk. Der var alt hvad vi havde brug for i huset, en god fryser og meget flot rengjort 👍

We really enjoyed staying at this lovely home. The house has everything one needs for a comfortable stay. Watching the changes in light throughout the day into evening was restful and at times awe inspiring with the fog on the lake rising in the morning . Check in was easy and communication was excellent . Thank you Ella .
