A lovely 17th century building, one of the oldest properties in Belford, that has a coffee shop below. In a friendly village only 5 miles from picturesque Bamburgh. Belford has pubs, restaurants, play parks, shops, chemist etc Very central for all attractions in Northumberland only half hour and you’re in Scotland. The Sanctuary, is a secluded self catering cabin set in a private walled garden, ideal for anyone who wants to get away and retreat for a while. The Byre. Cosy, eco friendly barn camping.

The Byre is a delightful upcycled 19th century listed cow byre on an old farm. The room looks out on to the farm courtyard. There is a large garden for visitors use, and dark skies above us. We are an eco friendly family, and the Byre comes with a private composting toilet in a separate wooden shed, and a water supply just outside.Think of it as cosy camping in a stone tent.

Luxury Cabin with Hot Tub in the Scottish Borders

What a wonderful stay we have had, blissful tranquility personified. Perfect location, function and relaxation. Lovely spot with homely settings surrounded by chickens, sheep and horses… all well designated boundaries for our little Shorkie pup to learn the ways of life. The cabin itself was immaculate, dreamy fixtures and fittings with discrete mod-cons. We were there in summer but winter months would be totally covered!! The hot-tub is one of the best we have ever experienced. Super high pressure jets, fun features with bath tap-like flow and spouts of water etc. LED propaganda. And full blown jacuzzi experience. The attention to detail is profound. Little multi-tool accessories in the kitchen for grating, cutting pizza, all sorts. All sockets have USB. One could go on… Most of all, there was attention paid to shower pressure!! This is the make or break for Haley and I and it was well covered! Quality materials from present-less hosts, delivering quality present perfection.

Incredible location and beautifully presented cottage, easy to find and immediately comfortable and welcoming to stay in. Lindsay was a really kind and helpful host, sending lots of useful information ahead of our stay, very responsive to any queries while we were there, and generous with little touches to say hello - milk, bread, brownies, and even treats for the dog! This is a beautiful part of the world, with incredible walking to be had but not always the best weather so, the boot room for outdoor gear and general sorting out was really appreciated. Knowing it is just early days for Lindsay, you can be sure this stay will only get better with time and we would definitely love to return - thank you!

Luxury Scandinavian Lodge in North Northumberland

We stayed three nights at the Dinnings Lodge. Upon arrival the reception called us to check our arrival time with the keys ready. It was such a smooth check in, we didn’t require any support throughout our stay as everything is signposted and amenities are great! What a beautiful house, super clean inside, lovely decor, we were truly sad to leave. Our kids 10 & 5 enjoyed the secluded garden, it’s full of wildlife, rabbits literally on the door step. Play park was also great and the woodland walk is just amazing, we saw deer! The location is spot on, easy to commute and as we had an EV car, Tesla supercharger is 5 mins away. The house itself has an underfloor heating, it’s so cosy and the kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and a washing machine. Beds are comfy, modern throughout. The caravan site is so quiet, well maintained. Thank you for such amazing stay and lovely memories.

Really lovely place and so unique. Location is perfect and so private. Facilities are good considering they are basic and the shower was great. Very clean. Could do with a fresh lick of paint but overall an amazing stay, we already want to rebook.

Wow! What a lovely trip and a lovely stay, such a nice quaint area, very peaceful. The cottage is super cosy but also spacious, it was a perfect 50/50! We stayed here 3 days and it was perfect for what we needed, super clean, beds were comfy, quiet place to sleep and the board games we found were a perfect addition to our evenings after lounging in the hot tub, which was also amazing and toasty even in the colder evenings! Highly recommend this stay, and the hosts were lovely, very accommodating and left us a kind message for when we arrived and a beautiful hamper basket!
