Guest house holiday rentals in Buckinghamshire

Our second stay with Marzena was just as good as the first a year ago. A lovely spot with great walking nearby and a wonderful hosts.

Brilliant location, homely feel and a host that couldn’t have provided for us. From a complimentary breakfast selection of pasty’s, eggs and cereals to a written booklet of places to eat / drink / party in the evening only in a less then 10 minute taxi drive away. Beautiful surrounding scenery with friendly local pubs… Can’t recommend enough.

What a lovely stay we had at Shenley Lodge while attending 4 days of the British Grand Prix. I cant say enough about how helpful Katarina was from the moment we - sleepily - stepped out of the taxi after a redeye from Heathrow. We were fortunate to be able to check in early, and we immediately felt right at home. We were so lucky to experience Katarina’s thoughtful kindness - homemade soup, starting us out with bottles of water, and even fitting us in for extra services like a massage right on site. Oh, and i cant forget thr wonderful reataurant suggestions! The surroundings and neighborhood are absolutely gorgeous and quaint. You will want to go for a walk or catch a ride on a Lime scooter to explore - we had SO much fun ‘scooting’ around. We made breakfast each morning in the unit and picked up basics at the Tesco a couple blocks away. Very simple to walk. All in all I would love to stay again! Thank you Katarina for our lovely stay!

Abi and her family were lovely and incredibly helpful and friendly. The place was very clean and had plenty of room and amenities including the extra sofa bed. The pubs down the road were lovely and some great walking routes.

Wonderful, peaceful country location with fantastic views, but within easy reach of Oxford. Welcoming hosts and very spacious accommodation with thoughtful breakfast supplies. Comfortable beds! Thank you Ed and Tracey

Mary’s Cabin is a cute and cosy retreat with lovely countryside views. With its own gate and space within the hosts’ garden, it feels very private even though Ben and his wife are just moments away if you need them. Ben’s directions were clear and easy to follow, he was very friendly and welcoming when I arrived, and very accommodating of my step-daughter’s last minute decision to stay with me on one of my two nights there. Although it feels quite remote, it’s not too far from things to do and places to eat, so you are getting the best of both worlds staying there.

What a little gem. Beautiful place in a beautifully peaceful spot. Sue and Jon were wonderful hosts, friendly and super helpful. Lots of lovely pubs near the cottage and only a short drive to Henley. We would definitely stay here again.

Such an excellent place, so secluded yet so well connected! It was only 20mins drive from Oxford town centre, 15 mins from Bicester Village. It was so tranquil, so peaceful, I would book again in the summer when the weather is much warmer. Hot tub was nice and privately located whilst over looking the forestry area. Only small thing i would ask for is bigger pans for cooking as we spent most of our time in the bungalow with the family and enjoying the hot tub!

Well if you want to stay in a really unusual AirB and B there is a wonderful place in Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire. Literally 5 minutes from the train station and a bus stop right outside the front door. Also less than 10 minutes from the town centre. I would highly recommend this Cosy Annex bedsiit, large bedroom with T.V. fully fitted kitchen, bathroom with towels and patio doors that open onto a courtyard garden. I parked my car right outside the front door, the owner sorted out the car permit for me. I stayed here for 3 weeks in between moving into my flat. Lovely spacious place with very comfy bed and lovely bathroom. Quiet with an excellent pub (The Greyhound) literally 2min walk.

This was a wonderful find. Can't rate this compact but amazingly well thought out and designed accommodation, highly enough. Everything you will need for your stay. The peaceful and colourful garden adajacent to Marlow lock was perfect and the milk in the fridge was an added bonus for a much needed cup of tea after travelling. Thank you Nikki.

We had the best time, the pool is amazing!! The time slots were ideal and work really well- great pool for adults and children. Beautiful cottage, lovely gardens-we felt so at home, nothing was too much trouble for Bridget. The children have now also found a new love for tennis! We def hope to return … 10 out of 10 from us!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely Airbnb. The location was perfect for river walks, and we appreciated being within easy walking distance of Windsor, home to the magnificent Windsor Castle, as well as a great selection of restaurants and shops. The host was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always willing to assist. The private outside area connected to the annex was a real bonus, adding a cozy and welcoming touch that made our stay feel very much like home.

The POD was amazing a home from home. Everything you want from your stay, clean, tidy and peaceful. It’s well equipped and has an amazing shower and bathroom plus the bed is extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here for a short stay or long stay a perfect host and accommodation.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Swedish Cottage. The place is very cosy, and is within a beautiful garden. It’s located close to local restaurants and has some fantastic walks (with the dog). Communication with Anita was also great too.

I have used a lot of world wide vacation rentals. My goal is to get a place that is not unlike being at home. This one does that exceedingly well. It was well appointed. The king size bed was a bonus. The kitchen has all of the modern conveniences. The bathroom is roomy. The TV entertainment package was well above what I expected. Sally went above and beyond so that we wanted for nothing that would make the stay very pleasant. And, I do mean absolutely nothing! The Barn is in a semi-rural, peaceful area, but it close to grocery stores, train station, and some day trip areas. The communication between Sally and I started right after booking and was exceptional. She provided a wealth of help with directions, tour info, and other helpful suggestions that made our stay hassle free. She was always accessible when we had questions. I cannot say this about all of my vacation rentals... My wife and I would definitely return to The Barn.

Tricia gave us comprehensive instructions on how to find her property and we got it right first time! Set back off the road, very peaceful, the little house was well furnished, good quality linen and towels provided. Washing machine which was handy. The garden is gorgeous, beautifully comfortable outdoor furniture. Pavement to walk into Cookham will many lovely pubs and restaurants. A really good mix of shops as well. Met Tricia on our last day there, a lovely lady, very kind a friendly. Can’t wait to return.

Very handy location. Clean bathrooms and fresh linen. Jordan’s instructions about check in and WiFi were helpful. It was also handy having a parking space made available. We liked this flat very much.

While looking for Airbnb's in Flitwick, UK, it stood out for her description of property and the photos, along with the location, for our visiting friends. We did not have a car and Sally's was very walkable to their home and grocery. We felt very safe and very at home during our week stay. Anything you would possibly want/need, Sally had already provided. Comfortable beds, outside patio, beautiful flower garden and extremely pleasant hosts. If in the area again, would definitely go back. Thank you for a pleasant experience
