Welcome to Villa Maria, our fairy tale guest house in a calm location next to the forest and with a vast garden in the village Lauterbourg in Northern Alsace, France. It's just 5 min by foot to the heart of the village with a couple of bakeries, restaurants, a grocery store and small shops, or 10 min to the beach & lake. It's only 2 min by car from Germany, and a perfect location for exploring the Rhine border region Karlsruhe-Strasbourg, or for a rest on the way when travelling across Europe.

Your flat in our half-timbered house is the ideal starting point for excursions to the Black Forest, Kraichgau or to Karlsruhe and Stuttgart. Our farmhouse is located north of the "Black Forest Nature Park". Nature invites you to cycle, hike and discover: orchards, forests, meadow valleys and high moors, gorges, streams & lakes! And vineyards. But you can also relax in our garden and enjoy local wine or craft beer. We have 2 dogs and 1 cat, turtles and sheep (not always on premise).

It is part of a listed building that has existed since the 17th century. You will sleep where stablehands and coachmen stayed over 200 years ago. It has been lovingly renovated. Discover the original charm of the sandstone wall and wooden beams, combined with the aesthetics of a bright loft with an open-plan concept.

The apartment is newly furnished and is located on the 1st floor of my house (year of manufacture 2017) in the heart of the old town of Ettlingen. You live directly in the pedestrian zone (parking can be rented subject to availability, please request ). All sights, restaurants, bars and shops of the daily Needs can be easily reached on foot. Alternatively, you can enjoy your home, cook in the fully equipped kitchen and end the evening on the balcony.

Enjoy the simple life in this peaceful and centrally-located place, within walking distance of 10 minutes to the train station and 20 minutes to the city center, 3 minutes to the S-Bahn. The apartment is a converted shed, accessed via a steep staircase. There is a small entrance area on the first floor with a wardrobe and seating. The upper floor has a small living/sleeping area with a small kitchen, seating and a small bathroom with shower.
