Paved Bike trail across the street. The Suite is perfect for working people coming to New Ulm needing a very comfortable place to stay short term or longer. It's also great for a weekend getaway. We are at times flexible with the number of guests. If more than 3, prior approval is requested. 2nd bed is a futon in a sm rm.

The private upper garden has a fire pit, cellar and dining area surrounded by forest and fire-flies. There is No Kitchen. The building is surrounded by an underground creek, so it stays cool naturally. It’s a 7 min walk to Schell’s brewery & 4 min drive downtown.

Kinda like "GLAMPING" but better!Has heat and Air .Unique, corky but a great place to relax and put your feet up in the hammocks inside. Must be able to climb a 6 foot ladder to get to loft to sleep. Can come to the main house to go to the bathroom or use the best compost toilet ever attached to your getaways space. Kitchen area if needed in wine area to use. Firepit and grill to use for cooking also. A place like no other!

Lovely 2 bed, downtown upstairs apt w/free parking

Located down town New Ulm. Enjoy easy access to local shopping, great restaurants, and beautiful parks from this perfectly located home base. Be aware this is an upstairs apartment. There are 24 steps up to it. We consider it your included workout for the day. While there is a sofa sleeper, it is older and not the most comfortable. It is there in a pinch.

The stay at Janet's place was great! She greeted me at arrival and gave me a nice tour of her amazing house and gardens. So many nice, artistic touches both inside and out~ Janet is incredibly creative. The Ocean Room had everything I need and the bed was super comfortable. I had the best night sleep in a long time at Janet's place. The jacuzzi has a wonderful shower head, too, in case you don't quite have the time for a long soak in the tub. It's a quiet neighborhood and within walking distance to the Sleepy Eye Coffee Company. Stop there for great coffee and pastry! It's also a microbrewy... very cool building and worth a visit!

Janet was an amazing host! She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. She was fun to chat with and gave great recommendations for places to go and restaurants to try. The Greek Spa Room was romantic and had several ways to help us unwind and relax from a massage chair to heated towels, nothing was forgotten! It was a truly a wonderful place to stay and I would highly recommend her home to anyone!

We stayed with Rod on recommendation of another couple who had previously stayed with him and the experience was unimaginably better than their rave review even described!!! Rod has a lovely home and was an exceptional host. He loves the community of New Ulm and it's heritage and is an amazing steward of Gemütlichkeit! The rooms were immaculate and welcoming, and we enjoyed the lower level family room with comfortable couches and chairs, a fireplace and TV for late night cribbage. Rod is an amazing host and we look forward to future visits to New Ulm and his place!

Janet and Bruce were so friendly and welcoming! I got off of work late and arrived later than expected but Janet still met me at the door and gave me a house tour. Their home is so clean and comfortable. Feels like a home away from home. Plenty of seating outside to enjoy their peaceful backyard. Wonderful, relaxing trip! Would definitely stay again!
