Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Bretteville-sur-Odon

My family of five (three of them young children) stayed here for a few days during a three week journey around Europe. It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to visit the D-Day sites and this home made our stay 100% enjoyable. It is my favorite AirBnB I have ever stayed in. It was perfectly clean, had everything we could have thought we needed, and the location was absolutely perfect. Thank you for letting us stay in such an amazing place!

The property and hosts were both excellent, we had a great time visiting an appreciated the private and beautiful location. It is very close to all Normandy historical attractions yet the property is tucked away in a small village that is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and found the hosts to be truly wonderful people. Highly recommend!

Great stay! We have enjoyed a lot the garden and the beach 2 min away from the house. Very calm neighborhood. We recommend!

3rd time in this place and in any weather and any time of the year, the charm always works. We simply feel good there as it is peaceful. The cottage is super well equipped and the children love the games, the garden, Fernand the donkey etc... In short, we simply hope to return a 4th time :-)

Very nice surprise! Despite the late booking, Sophie was very responsive and available, upon our arrival, we even found the fireplace lit and small touches. The house is warm and welcoming, rich in history and very well positioned, in a quiet and peaceful village, near the sea, places to visit and with parking on the street where we almost always found space (April). Very comfortable bedding, well-equipped kitchen, an address to remember!

we spent 4 super nice days at Ginette's. very well placed to go on bike tours. Little extras on arrival that are extremely pleasant. Clean, spacious and very well arranged accommodation. A short walk in the garden to see the chickens, the fruit trees and a very beautiful garden. Nothing to say, everything was great. We recommend it 100% and we will come back without any worries. Romain Et Céline's AirBnb was a lovely little retreat in Caen. You can reach it from the train station with a 30 minute walk or you can take the tram which gets you there in about 10-15 minutes. The location is in the center of the city. It is a five minute walk to several restaurants for dinner and you are never further than 20-25 minutes walk from most of the popular tourist sites. The listing itself had all the promised amenities. There was not much sound at night so we all slept well. Three of us comfortably used the space. The internet was also able to handle all of us using it at the same time. The shower also had good water pressure and hot water. The check-in instructions were easy to follow and the check-out instructions were quite reasonable. Romain messaged to ask how our stay was going was quick to respond whenever I had questions. I had a wonderful time and would be happy to rent this AirBnb again.

It's a delightful little paradise! The apartment is snug and cozy, the garden beautiful and peaceful. I had a lot of fun during the short (or sometimes longer) chats with Guy. It's clear that he is passionate about the region and has a lot to tell about it. I had a little less contact with Jocelyn, but she is very friendly as well. To be honest, I felt a bit like staying at my grandparents, which was a nice feeling. The location is perfect. A lovely hiking trail passes right in front of the door. All the 'big sights' of Normandy are in reach within a day-trip. All in all I enjoyed my time there a lot and I definitely hope to come back another time.

Light, bright open flat with fully stocked kitchen, large dining table and comfy sofa living room. Bedrooms were large (we had the single studio next door - separate key required) as well. Instructions were clear, housekeeper was prompt in responding to check in time and inquiries. It is on the 3rd floor above ground level so be prepared for lots of steps (the last flight is quite narrow) Location right next to grand hotel with beach entrance across the street and walkable to all the restaurants and shops. Great stay!

Great place to stay. Very good location, very walkable with lots of restaurants and things to do right around the corner. The apartment was very nice and VERY high value. Well worth the low price we paid. Marie was an excellent host, very accommodating and friendly. I would stay here again if I came through the area!

It is not easy to find accommodation for a family or friends reunion. Everything is there here. Number of rooms and beds, leisure facilities for children and adults, crockery, seats all in number for a large group. It's clean. My garden is nice, like the house. Thanks again for this weekend!

We were 4 small families (8 adults and 5 kids) staying and we were very comfortable in Adelaide's place. Very spacious and the kids had loads of space for running and playing. The drive to the nearest beach took us around 30 mins. The swimming pool was amazing during the day and the hot tub perfect during the night. I would totally recommend this place.

We had an incredible family weekend in the house and will be happy to come back! There is everything you need for young and old and the house is decorated with great taste. Samuel was very welcoming and we thank him!

The cottage was everything advertised and more. Beds were very comfortable; literature was provided for local attractions, groceries restaurants; emergency contacts, etc. Loved the horses on their breeding farm, and the serene rural setting - just the perfect distance from everything we came to see. Our gracious host, Venessa, was bilingual and spoke English, which made communicating with her much easier. The kitchen as well as the entire cottage was beautifully furnished with everything we needed. She had even provided games, and other children items -which we didn’t need - but we appreciated seeing the details given to the needs of visiting families. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to enjoy the pool or hot tub, but would have enjoyed spending time at both amenities, given more time for our trip. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone desiring to travel to the Normandy area of France.

We had a wonderful week in this property just outside of the town of Deauville. The house is located in a quiet suburban area with a Carrefour just a couple of minutes walk down the street which was very convenient. The large walled garden was great for the kids and the table tennis table, sun loungers, outdoor eating area, and table football all proved popular! The house itself is absolutely stunning - a beautiful traditional style timber framed building. The interior has a lot of exposed wood beams and very high quality furnishings. Everything that we needed was provided and we were very comfortable during our stay. The local town of Deauville has plenty going on including shops, bars, and restaurants. It's a pretty place with a harbour and some canals - lovely to be by the water. Between the house and Deauville is a wide sandy beach with stunning views along the coastline from Villers sur Mer to La Havre. Well worth a visit!

We found the house as we were presented and as we expected it. The part of the house is well and sympathetically furnished. There was nothing missing in the kitchen. We really enjoyed the conservatory. However, I would have considered here in high summer, as shading of the glass roof was not possible. I highly recommend this as the place to stay.

Stunning villa and has everything you need. The space is even nicer in person and hosts were very nice and flexible. Bring your own coffee and coffee filters though and towels :)
