Mosteirinho - Ninho/Nest

LeticiaRating, 5 stars25 months ago
Beautiful place. The place is taken care of in every detail. Henrique is a great host. He gave us good recommendations of places to visit in the area (the waterfall and community windmill not to be missed). We stop at Ninho, a little little house full of lovely touches, like a salamander that's a light table. We were very happy. And they allow dogs for a plus. Dog-friendly is a great advantage of the place for those of us traveling with them. Recommended to spend a few days in nature, to relax and return to the daily routine of the great city.

Mosteirinho - Fraga

A little paradise! Quiet and peaceful place. I highlight the pool, swimming with a superb view. The house we stayed in was bigger than it looked in the pictures. Mr. Henrique is impeccable. We felt like living there permanently. 5 stars!!!

Stayed here as a group of 4 guys, 2 cars and 2 boats to fish the Sabor River. Plenty of parking for everything behind locked remote operated gates. Perfect for what we wanted. Thanks.

Miller's house - Rural tourism

JulieRating, 5 stars10 months ago
The house is ideal for nature lovers! It is very cool inside and has all the necessary equipment for a comfortable stay. The river below is perfect for cooling off and other spots are within walking or driving distance by the road that passes in front of the house (little traffic, mainly farmers and locals who are very warm). We would have stayed much longer!

We felt very comfortable. A wonderful view. Two balconies, very great. One offers the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening, super great. The pool area is incredibly beautifully laid out. The accommodation is highly recommended.

Douro - Casa do Beco B&B - Guest House

Great hosts make a stay fantastic. Puri and Paulo are certainly the greatest hosts we have encountered ever. They elevate their quiet and peaceful apartment by their incredible generosity and friendliness. We arrived late afternoon to a welcome plate of local meats and cheeses all of which were delicious and the best that we have had on our visit to Portugal. We were expecting to have to find a local restaurant for dinner - however Puri had a roast chicken ready for us due to the late arrival! A proper free range country chicken - full of flavour. The fridge was stocked with breakfast items including lovelly fresh fruit and jams made by their small company - some of the best blueberry jam I have ever eaten. Paulo very kindly found a winery visit that was open (during harvest) and booked it for us and suggested some view pionts we should visit. Quanta Terra is in a must see building with great wines and a perfect host. Saddly that we only could stay 2 nights - we will be back.

When coming to Portugal, I was looming for an authentic Portugese experience. The stay at Rute’s got me what I was looking for and more. Not only did I feel like at home, but also everything else was perfect. Highly recommend.

The place is even better than the pictures. Very nice surprise on arrival. Rui welcomed us perfectly and made us feel at ease. We introduced Portugal to our friends, their only desire is to come back. The accommodation clearly contributed to this.

Casinha da Colina. Sardão, Alfândega da Fé (Customs of Faith)

ElisaRating, 5 stars9 months ago
This house is exactly as described and a perfect peaceful getaway. The view is incredible. The house is well proportioned with three large double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. We had an extra camp bed put up in one room, and there was also a cot in there (although we didn’t use it). Efficient air conditioning and nice kitchen. There isn’t anything else in the area but this suited us just fine! Nearest shop is in Albondega De Fe (10 mins) bur a proper supermarket is in Mogadouro (20 mins).

Casa d'Augusta - Straw

MarinaRating, 5 stars22 months ago
Glória has been a fantastic hostess. The house was located in a very quiet village. In addition to impeccable cleanliness, it had all the necessary utensils, very nice decor and was very cozy. The two days he brought us breakfast, made up of local products. We visited the burritos and he let us feed them. He also advised us on some activities in the area. It was a hit to go for the kayak. Sergio was lovely and the walk through the canyons awesome, we could see a lot of native wildlife. We would undoubtedly repeat

Casa do Beco B&B - Douro, Portugal

SvenjaRating, 5 stars34 months ago
I can truly say that this was the best Airbnb experience I have ever had. (And I experienced a lot of Air Bnbs). Puri and Paulo made me feel so welcome. I was traveling alone and after Porto I really wanted to see the Douro Valley and the vineyards. This was the best decision. The whole Douro area is just stunning and definitely worth a visit. And Puri's house makes it just perfect. After a long drive through the Douro Valley, Puri and Paulo welcomed me with delicious cheese and ham and most of all very tasty red wine and a 43 year old port. The best port wine I have ever drunk. In the morning I jogged around the village and it was just beautiful, in the evening they showed me the bakery of the village where they sell bread only in the evening and it was so nice. All the recommendations Puri and Paulo gave me were perfect and I enjoyed my trip through the valleys to the fullest. My room and bathroom were very clean and the backyard was just beautiful and a perfect place to relax. They showed me their wine cellar and where they make the delicious jam we had for breakfast every morning. All of Puri's food is super delicious and worth trying. Once I'm back in Portugal I will definitely go back there and can highly recommend a stay here! Many thanks to Puri and Paulo for being so welcoming. In German there is the term "Gastfreundschaft", a combination of guest and friendship. And that is what I found here. Thank you very much!

Vale de Carvalho Farm V1

Great communication with the caring host Pedro. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about the production of olive oil and we enjoyed the olive oil tasting with him. Very peaceful location with pretty views. The accommodation is modern and spacious. There are three units and the parents home on the property. All units have their own private areas, and only two units share the well maintained swimming pool. You are allowed to wander around the Quinta viewing the vineyards and olive trees. The plentiful breakfasts were made from local and traditional products. My husband and I, and our dog really enjoyed our stay.

Vale de Carvalho Farmhouse V2

FredericRating, 5 stars1 month ago
These two days out of our 18s were the most significant. The world needs more Pedro! It offers a tasting of homemade olive oil and porto which is a “must”. The pictures don't do justice to this paradise. It's beautiful, it's luxurious and you feel in the palm of the hands of the mountains. Breakfast is free but it's not small. It's been 5 days since we left this place and we still eat stuff offered in the morning. Only plan for dinner… there's plenty to dine in his basket. Another thing, we cook a lot! And the spicy rack was full!!! Finally, an Airbnb that considers people who cook. And this kitchen makes you want to spend time there…I will recommend all my friends to go there. And I hope to see Pedro again someday. It's not a favorite, it's the whole heart!
