The Bunk House

The Bunk House is an 8 by 12 foot shed with 3-4 bunks. There is a twin sized bed across the back, a bunk sized bed on each side and a plank to pull out to accommodate a fourth person in the middle over the walkway. With this adaptation, you have an 8 by 10 foot bed. We provide foam mattresses, sheets, blankets and pillows. There is an air-conditioner and a heater. Bucket toilet behind the bunkhouse. Fire ring available. No pets. The water is from our deep well - tested, certified and delicious!

Absolutely phenomenal stay! I have diagnosed OCD, so cleanliness is a huge deal for me—and this place exceeded every expectation. It was spotless from top to bottom, and I truly felt at ease the entire time. The setup was adorable, the rooms were spacious and cozy, and the attention to detail was unmatched. The outdoor area was something out of a dream—patios unlike anything I’ve seen before. We were lucky enough to spot hummingbirds, a fox, and even got to hang out with the sweetest chickens and roosters who actually love being fed and chatted with! More than just the space, the whole vibe felt welcoming and thoughtful. You can tell the hosts really care. I’ll absolutely be back—not only because of the cleanliness, but because it felt like a little peaceful slice of home.

We really enjoyed our stay. It rained while we were here but it was still amazing. My favorite part of the weekend would have to be sitting under the covered area with a cup of hot tea, my book and just listening to the rain. There were all kinds of wildlife from birds and squirrels to the occasional deer and even a tree frog! I would highly recommend this place to those looking to get off the beaten path and relax. Also, the outdoor shower is so enjoyable!

This is a wonderful find and we'll definitely remember it the next time we're in town. The apartment is centrally located (minutes from downtown to the north and minutes from shopping on the south side), but is tucked away in a quiet spot under mature trees. The area feels safe and secure. The interior of the apartment was spotless and cozy. While we did hear some movement from neighbors upstairs (as cautioned in the listing), it was brief and not at all disruptive. Highly recommend!
