In the Damme mountains you can go for a nice walk, ride a bicycle or mountain bike and enjoy nature. The area offers several excursion destinations (e.g. Dümmer See). Construction work is currently underway in the new development area. Therefore, there may be construction noise during the week and possibly also on Saturdays (especially with open windows).

Am Abend und bei kühlen Wetter sorgt ein Kaminofen für kuschelige Wärme. Wer mag kann sich beim Füttern der bei uns lebenden Tiere mit einbringen oder in unserer Töpferei kreativ werden!

Super nice apartment and super nice landlords! Elke and Oliver were extremely helpful and friendly. Bad Essen is a very pretty town and offers everything your heart desires: restaurants, easily accessible shopping and the area is super beautiful for hiking and cycling. From the apartment you can look over fields directly to the Wiehen Hills and live in wonderful peace. I was there for 10 days and felt at home. Highly recommended!

The apartment is generously sized. The beds were comfortable and the sofa bed was also good for sleeping. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bathroom had a very pleasant size with a floor-to-ceiling shower. The only small drawback, which cannot really be changed: the apartment is located on a federal highway. Therefore, you can hear the traffic during the day, but it subsides in the evening and does not affect our sleep. There are many beautiful hiking trails in the nearby area. Therefore, the apartment was ideal for us.
