A great place to relax with a great host!

From the moment we arrived, this home swept us off our feet! This place is truly magical. Handcrafted from local sources (timber, coconuts, shells, stone), every detail reflects respect for the environment. The house is cozy, peaceful, & rustic, w/a funky edge. My favorite area was the patio, which opened up to the rainforest, teeming w/birds & flowers. I loved watching monkeys in the trees & listening to the waves. Next to the home is the owners' incredible restaurant, Arboloco, a local favorite. The restaurant has a chill jungle vibe (delicious Afro-Caribbean food) & is open Wed-Sat. Despite the nearby dining, privacy was never an issue. The path to our Airbnb was clearly separated, maintaining a secluded experience. The location is serene & is a 10-minute drive from Bocas Town. This Airbnb isn’t just a place to stay; it’s an experience… an artistic retreat. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect blend of nature, privacy, & local culture.

Fantastic place, the sea is your backyard. Monkeys, tracking, squirrels, and surfers on the waves passing by. Great house, minimalist but very nice with various hangouts. Keep in mind that it can be warm in the house and that insects can easily enter....but there is something great about that.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! Rita and her team assisted us from across CR to Panama and back to CR … from transportation, to private chef, boat excursions and activities! All the planning was spot-on! The house hosts welcomed us, the house and surrounding property were beautiful! Lots of extras for us to enjoy. Location had great ocean views and a quick walk to Star Beach, local restaurants and bars. The house hosts were more than accommodating and even made a fire on the beach every night! This Airbnb exceeded all expectations! WHAT A VIEW! Dan and Lily have created a beautiful little cabin with thoughtful details such as a raised bed that we later realized was designed to give us the best possible view while lying down. Brilliant! The uninterrupted natural breeze made it feel even more relaxing. In fact, once we arrived, we never wanted to leave. We canceled all our plans just to soak in the beauty of this room and to spend time with each other. We had everything we needed: fast wifi, hot water, a well-equipped shared kitchen with sustainable practices, and, surprisingly, no insects! A huge thank you to Dan and especially Lily— she was such a sweet host!! If you’re looking for a tranquil escape, this is the place.

Phillipe is a great host! Interesting and caring welcoming. We spent two days with two exceptional evenings full of sharing and anecdotes. About the property A nice room with a shower toilet and a fan that has the power of a plane. It's a mess! However, Construction allows you to ventilate all night without having to use the one . The kitchen area share is clean functional large fridge cooking utensils 👌 El drago beach is about 30 minutes walk 🦶 however for the less sporty a shuttle will stop in front of the door every 30/45 min. And in 5 minutes you're there. Counting $2.50 per person to get there from colon by mini bus they accept suitcases🧳. Thanks again Philippe! I'm waiting for the photo for the BBQ name 🍗 😉

Amazing place, just nature around. There is almost no cellular connection there, if you have a claro sim card then you are not going to have any internet. I would not rely on the wifi

This place was amazing, best Airbnb we’ve stayed in 10 meters away from the beach, hosts were always responsive and very helpful it is paradise.

Jungle Paunch Cabins was EXACTLy what I was looking for . Nestled in the jungle . Short walk down to road to hail cabs . Beautiful ocean on the road . Couple of walkable restaurants . Monkeys in the trees . Jungle sounds at night . Best sleep ever . Coming home at night magical and safe . Jane is beyond personable . Max welcoming and friendly with a fabulous smile . Great well seasoned widely traveled couple who built their dream . So happy they share it with us visitors .

It feels like a treehouse in the jungle with the sounds of the wildlife and ocean waves in the background. Gloria’s house is not only beautiful but a very peaceful place to stay, incredibly relaxing. There is a bar on the beach and a few restaurants nearby, definitely recommend The Hummingbird for food. There are also two good swimming spots that you can get to after a walk through the jungle and along the beach; La Piscina and the Blue Lagoon. Maybe take a picnic and make an afternoon of it? The house is about 20 minutes from town so it’s a good idea to get some supplies when you first arrive before heading there. Gloria was a great host and Will, the chap who takes care of the house, was also great and they both speak Spanish and English. You’ll be in good hands here. Best of all, how wonderful to wake up in the morning and discover that you are having breakfast with monkeys, eating bananas from a tree right next to you. This is a special place that I shall not forget.

Beautiful bnb in a stunning, tranquil setting! Lourdes was an attentive, communicative host and made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this home for single travelers and couples wanting a peaceful and private vacation. With that said, we had no problem visiting other islands that were more populated. We kayaked to the Red Frog marina and walked to Red Frog Beach, and we also had no problems getting water taxis to Boca Town on NYE. Be sure to stop at the grocery store before you arrive at the Air BnB, as there are no restaurants on Isla Solarte. :)

We loved our stay at Jungle Paunch! Maxi was so responsive and helpful, lending us snorkels and giving us recommendations for beaches and restaurants. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and feel so secluded whilst still accessible but car/bike/scooter.
