Nestled in a small village up in the mountains above Bilbao, Asier’s house at Garai is a comfortable, clean and well appointed oasis of calm. Asier is a friendly and responsive host who supplied lots of useful information before our stay. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday this is the place to go. And if you find you need some city centre excitement, the train station is a walkable distance down the hill from the house.

Esperanza is a great host and a lovely person. Couldn't do enough for me and my son during our 3 night stay. Esperanza provided breakfast, detailed maps/guides for transportation into and outside the city and provided a network of contacts and services available. Thank You.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beach house! The proximity to the bar is a blessing and a curse, and the folks who come and sit on the benches right off the terrace are at first off-putting but as others have mentioned you get used to it! Many opportunities to be with nature and Bilbao is 45 minutes away and a “real deal/non-touristy” cider house “Sidreria Elexalde” less than forty. Great pintxos at nearly every bar and a very nice restaurant at Kanala Beach. We would stay here again. Especially appreciated the second outdoor shower for sandy feet after the beach!

The house was very well located, in a quiet area in the middle of nature but very well connected. The stay was fantastic, the house has everything you need, even with soaps and gels in all the bathrooms. It has all the cooking and bbq utensils. In addition to iron, washing machine, awning. It's a real luxury of home. Thank you very much!

We chose Carolina's place for a gathering with our three adult daughters. It was nice to have a spacious home with good bathrooms. Gorliz was very quiet mid-week but busier at the weekend. It was a straightforward journey into Bilbao. The lovely beach was about a ten minute (downhill) walk away. The underground car parking was very convenient, but beware the steep ramp, if you have a low car! An alarm going off in the communal garage space disturbed us throughout the last 36 hours of our stay, which was unfortunate.

Very good stay at Espéranza... Very nice person, gives good advice for visits... Smiling and caring... Her son is also present and contributes to giving a family character to this accommodation... Bedroom and bathroom in impeccable condition..... Possibility of enjoying the kitchen which is an additional asset... The proximity of the city with its many shops and the kindness of the people delighted us throughout this stay... I highly recommend this accommodation, which deserves a few nights...

Booked Kristina's place for my 80 year old dad - he traveled with two mates from Toronto last minute to see the euro football final in Spain. When he arrived, he messaged me the accommodations were 200%, the people were 100%, very beautiful place and the people are so friendly. He later texted me from a local beach that he loves this part of the world - not touristy and very friendly and the beach was one of the best! We had a good stay in this small but functional house. Good location to visit Bilbao by train (train station and commuter train 5 minutes' walk) and the Basque Country by car thanks to the proximity of the highway. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, despite a strong vis-à-vis between the different houses, in the suburbs of Bilbao. We were able to park the car easily in the rather narrow street. We did not meet the owner but the messaging exchanges were smooth.

Pili is very friendly and a very good host.

The apartment on 3 levels is spacious, well-equipped. The closest beach is within 30 minutes' walk. The surrounding coast is beautiful.

Perfect stay. The area where the house is located is super quiet and very nice. Also, you were a 15 minute drive to all the nearest cities. Allow pets, a tip to travel with your furry. Asun was responsive at all times and was super friendly, a very good host. Highly recommended!
