One of the Best Airbnb Stays We've Had! This villa was truly one of the best Airbnb properties we’ve ever stayed in. It’s a spacious house with all modern amenities, beautifully maintained and perfectly located. The views of the Black Forest from both the living room and bedroom were absolutely stunning. The large balcony with a dining table made it perfect for enjoying meals with a breathtaking view. The villa also has a beautiful garden and a lovely outdoor sitting area, perfect for relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. The private sauna and wellness area were a fantastic bonus — we wish we had booked a couple more days to enjoy it even more! Melanie was a wonderful and friendly host, making our stay even more comfortable. Just a note for future guests: having your own transportation is essential, as there’s no public transport nearby. We’re already looking forward to visiting again!

Our family of 3 plus a dog, really enjoyed our holidays in Alsacia, as our stay at the house was great, the house is well mantained and decored and is very comfortable, has a nice garten perfect for furry friends, and we enjoyed the pool in the hot days and relaxed at the house as has everything you need. You can easily move from there to each little town in Alsacia even drive to Basel. Eric is a great host, always responsive and the communication flows well. Thanks for your attention and we‘ll be happy to come back in other opportunity.

We wish we could have stayed longer in this magical place. We loved all the hiking paths and the local restaurant recommendation. It was very comfortable and beautifully designed. We hope to return one day.

Felix and his family have created a true oasis in the middle of the Black Forest. A place of rest that is perfect for slowing down and recharging your batteries. Pure idyll, only green in front of the window. In bad weather, the cozy, lovingly furnished apartment invites you to make a fire, read, cook and look out the window. In good weather, everything is open to you in the middle of the Black Forest. In 10 minutes by car to Himmelreich and then 15 minutes by S-Bahn you are in the beautiful Freiburg. We really enjoyed the 10 days and especially the bad weather days. Thank you, dear Felix, for sharing this wonderful place with other people.

We've enioyed our stay which was spacious enough for 2 couples and 2 2-year olds. The house has a great roof terrace and if that was too hot, we spent time in the garden. In the surrounding, we went for a bare foot trial which is highly recommendable for travelling with children and within 5 minutes there was a nice lake where we could swim.

We loved the place during our stay! It is really beautiful, especially the master suite impressed us. It's a bit remote, but that's exactly what we wanted. A trip to Strasbourg was also possible, about a 50-minute drive. You just can't be on the road without a car😉 I'm sure we'll be back!

We vacationed in Alsace for about a week. Barr is a great starting point for many excursions between Strasbourg and Colmar. In the beautiful little town itself there is a lot to discover and bakers, restaurants, etc. are right around the corner. Parking on the opposite side of the street worked great for us, as we were on the road during the day when the parking disc was needed. The apartment is tasteful and designed with a lot of love for detail. The amenities are very good. We were there with our 1 year old twins and had enough space for everything. The building is a beautiful half-timbered house in the old town with narrow and steep stairs. For us, however, it was easy to do with the children in the stretcher. Overall a place to feel good. :) We will be happy to come back when the next vacation in the region is coming up.

Claire and David had a wonderful place! It was just like the photos (better even!). The location is excellent — close to shops, cafes, stores, and access to lots of beautiful hiking trails through vineyards. They also had a full booklet of recommendations and responded quickly. Highly recommend this place/these hosts!
