Cabin holiday rentals in Big Cedar

We mostly loved Vail’s Bluff. The hot tub and outdoor space were exactly what we needed for our getaway trip. The bed was comfy and cozy. The cabin was close to activities and restaurants. The only had 2 issues…we brought food to cook in the oven but couldn’t because someone locked the digital panel and after spending an hour online reading the manual for the appliance we still could not unlock the oven to cook our food. We had to throw away our food which was disappointing. We were not offered anything by the owner for our wasted time and food, except 20% off for another night stay. The owner was supposed to send someone to check the appliance but no one came. As long as you are not cooking in the oven, you will be fine or make sure the oven is no longer locked. Second, didn’t see anywhere that we needed to bring our own lighter. We had to remember to buy a lighter day 2 at a local store, otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to use the fireplace, pit or grill.

The house was spotless when we showed up and had everything we needed while we were there to feel comfortable. The location was easy to find and the home was very peaceful and surrounded by beautiful woods, making it feel private and relaxing. It was a perfect stay!

Such a beautifully tucked into nature cabin. This was the perfect place for an escape from everything. The perfect romantic get away. Has a nice kitchen that we cooked fondue in. Back hot tub felt private and had beautiful woods to look in to. Our first day it rained all of it but with all the windows it was beautiful to sit and watch. We even stepped out on the patio and danced in the rain. We will definitely revisit this location again. ❤️

It was such an amazing place to spend me and my girlfriend 5 year anniversary even though it was raining two days straight it was still really amazing place to keep us busy and comfortable. I definitely recommend going to the cabin for anniversaries or honeymoons or just to relax and unwind with your partner. 10/10 amazing places.

This was the perfect little get away! They had everything you needed, plus more. It was just the right fit for our family with my 6 year old having autism. Very open concept and we loved how the master bedroom door went right out to the hot tub. Will definitely be staying here again!

Everything was spotless, stylish, and so comfortable. This cabin was absolutely perfect! Super clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was incredibly responsive and made everything smooth from check-in to check-out.

This is our second year in a row to visit this place and I will say, we love it. Reconnecting is what ALL MARRIAGES NEED. We needed to relax and that’s exactly what we did. The rain didn’t stop anything we had planned. The communication not only from Nicole but from Clint as well are two of most Respectful people I have EVER KNOWN. We thank you so much for sharing this home and others homes with our family. We home to continue to book this peaceful home every year of our marriage.

This was the perfect space for us and it had everything we needed for a long weekend getaway. We selected this place as a central location to the hiking we had planned. This was a quiet and relaxing place to come back to after our adventures. The two bedrooms allowed for us to spread out and the fully stocked kitchen was perfect for us to cook our dinners. And the best part was that this place is dog friendly - thankful that we were able to bring our dog along with us! He loved it too!

We had a wonderful stay. The place was amazing! Perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. We'd stay there again and would love to come back in the fall.

This was a beautiful cabin for our mini get away. Billy was responsive in a timely manner to any of our concerns. Our dog loved this cabin as well. Look forward to coming back here at a later date for a longer trip.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Heath’s place! The views were amazing, and it was just “out there” enough for what we wanted in our little weekend family getaway. We enjoyed the hot tub (which is covered and just across the gravel drive from the house) and the rocking chairs on the porch overlooking the lake! It was definitely buggy, so bring your bug spray and repellant devices for outside time! This is a total me-thing and not a criticism of Heath, but the house does not have ceiling fans! There is a box fan in the bedroom to compensate, but for fan addicts like myself, this might matter! :) I was very appreciative of the consideration to supply the box fan. Bathrooms were clean and nice, water pressure and temp was great. The beds are modest - Queen size I think - but extremely comfy! All in all a great stay! There were spices, dishes, and adequate utensils in the kitchen, but no storage supplies like ziplocks or plastic wrap so plan ahead if you’ll be cooking! Thanks so much Heath!

Just the 2 of us cabin was nothing short of amazing. Very very clean, and well taken care of. The property itself was very beautiful and relaxing. Every morning we jumped into the hot tub before breakfast and enjoyed the fresh air and scenery. Make sure to spend the day on kayaks as we had a great day doing that as well. This cabin was a breath of fresh air for us and we will definitely be returning in the future!

Five stars! Such a charming and cozy spot tucked away in the woods—exactly what we needed. We loved watching all the birds and even spotted some wildlife. The place had great vibes, and the hosts were awesome—super responsive and reached out early, which we really appreciated. Would definitely come back!

My family of 4 (wife, 5 and 7 year old girls, and myself) stayed for 3 nights this Mother's Day weekend. From the beginning, communication from Melonie optimally prepared us for our experience. We arrived after dark the first night, but the property was well labeled and well lit so getting in was simple. The pictures don't do justice on how beautiful the property is. Everything was very clean and organized so we immediately felt at home. The beds were all comfortable and the linens were very fresh. The overall decor matched the location so well. There was a lot of attention to detail when decorating this property. We used the hot tub, which is wood fired and takes a few hours to fill and then heat. It was definitely worth the wait. We spent most of our time away from the property so we didn't use the property amenities to the fullest. It's a great location and perfect for families of all types.

We had a wonderful stay at Paradise Pines! The cabin was warm and welcoming, it is well docked with everything you could need for your stay. I’m fairly particular about where we choose to stay and I would absolutely recommend Jody’s place with no hesitations. We hope to stay again if we’re back in the area!

This is a lovely cabin and the location is beautiful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

My family greatly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was exactly as shown in the pictures. There was plenty to do at the cabin which was nice since it rained most of our stay. We made a lot of use of the covered patio and the fire pit. The kids area in the loft was a lot of fun. The only thing that we hoped for but was not able to do was fish in the creek. We didn't know what to expect so we brought our fishing rods but the creek was bigger than we expected and the rocky shore made it so we couldn't figure out how fish. This could be due to the very rainy Spring. The creek does not hurt our rating of the cabin. Just wanted to help other guests have a vision of the on property creek. The hosts were very helpful and gave us a lot of information prior to arrival. I appreciated this as we planned our trip. We would stay at this cabin again! It made for a great family vacation.

Pros: The cabin was lovely and very comfortable! Host was easy to talk to and quick to respond. Wifi was fast and plenty of TVs to Watch from. The blankets and bed were so soft! Plenty of extra towels as well. Con: the cleaning before we arrived could have been a bit more attentive to crumbs on carpet and grease stains on the bar stools, but overall not too bad! Melissa made sure she was going to give them a heads up! Also it may just be because of the season but make sure to keep doors closed due to flies! Overall we loved our stay.

We loved our stay in Maricelie’s home! The cabin had everything we needed and was clean. Loved the dvd selections. The outdoor space was beautiful and peaceful. The kids found plenty to do inside and outside. We particularly loved the front porch swing! I’d recommend ensuring you know your surroundings or save offline maps prior to arriving as we had to go up the hill per instructions in order to get gps haha but seriously, not having internet was quite nice!! We went for the fall colors but ended up shrouded in heavy mist & rain but it wasn’t so bad since we all enjoyed the cabin so much!! Loved the local recommendations for food. Didn’t get to go to the southern belle but the kids loved breakfast at maamaw B’s!!
