Apartments are beautiful, large, and in a great location - we really loved our stay and would absolutely recommend this place to friends! Things to know: the two floors are totally separate apartments; they are pretty anonymous rental flats in terms of what to expect in the kitchen; we experienced some cultural differences around checkout and other communication, but no major issues; the offered airport pickup required that we wait around the airport for about 40 minutes but was otherwise easy

Awesome location! So many food options available within a walkable distance. Close to the metro for easy access to see the attractions like spice bazaar , Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Upstairs gathering space on the roof was perfect hanging out together. Hosts are always available with a quick response to any questions. Loved it! Perfect place to stay for our family vacation!

We visited as a family with two small kids and had a fantastic 5-day stay. The neighborhood is vibrant, authentic, and full of heart, with great shops and restaurants to explore daily. The house was spacious — more than we needed, as we didn’t use the downstairs apartment — but very comfortable, especially for the kids. Getting around was easy with the Istanbulkart; tram line 5 and bus 55 are just a short walk away. We cooked a few times and found the kitchen workable (cooking with gas), though some utensils were a bit worn and basic items like salt and pepper would’ve been helpful. Still, these were minor things. We’d happily return to Balat and to Ömer’s house. To really enjoy it, I’d recommend staying at least 4–5 days.

We had the most wonderful time in Dehan‘s place. Fantastic view and good location to explore the city. The Tünel station is on your doorstep. Only disadvantage is the 5 stories staircase and no lift. Area also up on hill, not far from Galata Tour. You have to be pretty fit. But worth the effort. Most enjoyable if you are interested in getting to know the city Istanbul!

Our family of 9 loved this place with its 5 bedrooms on 3 floors, 2 kitchens, 3 bathrooms and a sunny balcony on 2nd floor off the sitting room. well equipped kitchens, not that we cooked much, with the lovely local cheap restaurants 50 metres down the road. beds all comfortable, aircon and hot water worked well. We got fit going up and down the spiral wooden stair case, we ranged in age from 5 to 70, so had to make sure the smaller kids took care near/on stairs. As the oldest person I got the top floor to myself so just made sure I only went up and down once a day-so was organised or got younger ones to fetch things. Its a lively street,.with local kids playing out till late, lots of cats, baby gulls on the opposite roof. Lovely shops and the coloured houses just round the corner. it was quiet at night, the rooms had good double glazing.Some people on right of house heard the 4.30am call to prayer from nearby mosque, so take ear plugs if a lighter sleeper. It was the best Airbnb ever!

Great place, really nice neighborhood and Moussaab is very helpful. It's a tight place for eight people but workable and great value for money.

The listing was exactly as described, and we were so impressed that we decided to extend our stay. The area is conveniently located within walking distance of popular attractions like the Galata Tour, Galata Port, and the Egyptian Spice Market. Moreover, the neighborhood boasts a vibrant food scene that offers a wide variety of culinary delights. However, it’s worth noting that the area has several steep hills, so it’s advisable to pack light and comfortable footwear for your exploration.

We enjoyed our stay at this apartment! The location is excellent — just a 5 to 7 minute walk to Taksim Square, which makes it easy to access the metro and bus system. From Taksim, you can take the funicular down to Kabataş and hop on the T1 tram (at Kabatas) to reach key tourist sites like the Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Gulhane Park. You can also take a ferry to the Asian side (Üsküdar and Kadikoy) from Kabatas. The apartment itself was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts were kind, responsive, and great with communication. Overall, a convenient and pleasant place to stay — we would definitely recommend it!

Perfect location in one of the nicest areas in Istanbul. The balcony has a very nice view as well as the spacious terrace. Our host was very responsive and helpful and we really enjoyed staying here. Highly recommended!

What a nice place. The penthouse was really spacious and had such a great view. The kitchen is nice. I wouldn't want to cook a major meal but for small things it's perfect. Think bachelor Kitchen. Location is nice. Walking is super easy to so many things. Just know that this is city with some pretty major elevation changes. Uber is super easy to utilize. Lastly the staff here is very nice and so accommodating. They were happy to help with everything and also kept the cost down. Something I don't find so often these days. I would return.

Absolutely loved this place. It is on the 5th floor with no elevator, so if you are not for climbing stairs, this isn't your place. The staff did tote the luggage up and down. I personally wanted the exercise, and the view was worth it. I don't know that Istanbul offers a better view. Beware of the Galataport drop off. A LOT of stairs to get home even though it says .2-.3 mile walk. Every bit is stairs from the water. I would stay here again if visiting Istanbul

Great place to stay, I can only recommend it! Very close to the center, public transport, but if you like to walk a little, you can reach the main sights on foot within 1 hour. The apartment is clean, it matches the description. In the staircase, you can easily climb the 108 steps, even with a 20 kg suitcase. Cihan is very kind, helpful, responds to every message almost immediately! The mattress of the bed is very comfortable, we slept very well in it. The washing machine and dryer were very useful and we also used the water filter regularly. On weekends, there are parties in the buildings opposite, but by closing the windows, the sound can be minimized and the noise disappears at 2 a.m. If I had to mention a negative, I would mention the creaking of the bed frame and the little loading space. The mattress of the bed is very good, but if you move, it squeaks a lot. Unfortunately, there was only one drawer where we could put some of our clothes. But these problems are negligible!

Dilek's place was modern and beautiful with many amenities and we enjoyed our stay. The only thing we found uncomfortable was that the smaller of the two bedrooms was hot and it did not have AC. The larger bedroom and the living room did have AC. We thought to open the window but the window faced the hallway inside the building. Overall it was a great modern apartment and we were happy with our decision to stay there. Dilek was easy to reach and responsive. thank you Dilek!

We had a great time in Istanbul at this apartment located in Beyoğlu, a short walk to Galata Tower. The apartment is very clean, recently renovated, quiet, and perfectly equipped. It has a separate bedroom with a very comfortable mattress, ideal for a good rest after a day of sightseeing. The host, Ram or Karim, is extremely available and attentive. They really know how to welcome: bottled water in quantity, toilet paper, everything is planned, nothing is missing. The location is exceptional: 2 minutes from Istiklal Avenue, the most commercial in Istanbul, with many good deals (much cheaper than in Paris!), while being away from the noise. Also close to the tunnel to reach the Galata Bridge, the tram to get to the old town, and a few minutes from Şişli. This is, without a doubt, one of the best locations to experience Istanbul. We absolutely loved our stay at this charming Airbnb in Istanbul! The apartment is beautifully decorated, very spacious, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was spotless, with a large, modern shower and plenty of hot water—perfect after a long day of exploring. The bed was very comfortable, and the internet connection was excellent, which allowed us to unwind or catch up on a bit of work. The location couldn’t be better—so central and walkable to all the key sights, shops, and restaurants. One of our favorite parts was the large rooftop terrace where we relaxed each evening with coffee or wine, watching the sunset over the city. And if you’re a cat lover, you might be greeted by a sweet, friendly feline who somehow finds its way up to the terrace to say hello and meow for some affection. Check-in and check-out were smooth and easy, and the owners were responsive throughout. We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely stay here again!

Great place to stay if you want an authentic feel in a local neighbourhood which is walkable to main sights. The apartment itself is beautiful, very clean, and has a warm, welcoming feel. Benny was an exceptional host -thoughtful, responsive, and incredibly helpful. Before we arrived, I asked about doing some laundry and he kindly picked up washing powder for us without even being asked. The fridge was stocked with water, which was a lovely touch. The neighborhood, while a little run-down in parts, felt deeply local and gave us the rare opportunity to experience the real Istanbul, away from the busy tourist spots. It was peaceful and quiet during the day, yet just a short walk or quick taxi ride from the bustling markets, main attractions, and business districts. Benny’s local guide was a great read, full of interesting recommendations. We were able to walk to most places, and when needed, local taxis were easy to use—just make sure the driver turns on the meter before you go.

The space is quite bright and has all the basic luxuries. It is a bit challenging since its on a hill but that’s normal in İstanbul. Also there s no elevator. But you got plenty of space to breath. Good space. Recommended.
