The Fern Canyon Cottage | New & Sparkling Clean

MichealRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We booked the place when it was first listed, taking a chance because it seemed exactly what we needed to hike in the Redwoods. We were not disappointed. The home is very close to what turned out to be the favorite trails from our trip. Fern Canyon about 30 minutes away, bring shoes to get wet, just walk right in the water, it’s safer. Ladybird Johnson Grove was so beautiful in the fog and about fifteen minutes away. We went twice. The farther drive up near Crescent City was about an hour, highly recommend the River Trail to Stout Grove. Wasn’t a big fan of Grove of Titans. We would stay here again. The kitchen is a bit small but we cooked dinner 3 of the 4 nights with no issues. The pizza trailer walking distance away is decent if you don’t want to cook.

We booked this last minute on a road trip through the Redwoods. My wife, 2 kids and I loved our stay! The place was very comfortable and we stayed warm through the night. It was right near the river, and we saw a black bear on the other side of the river in the morning! Super cool. We also loved the close proximity to many of the great hikes and hot spots in the Redwoods.

Custom 3BR Mountainview | Hot Tub | Sauna

ClaireRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our family had a magical time exploring the Redwoods from this house. We were thankful for the space to spread out after a few days cramped in the car together. The house was super clean upon arrival with lots of nice touches scattered about. We had more than enough room for our family of 5. You could not ask for a better location for exploring the parks and we were all excited to get back for a soak in the hot tub after long days of hiking. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

We loved the place. It’s as described, and perfect for the two of us. We explored the area all day and enjoyed the nights there, playing cards and enjoying each others company. Will definitely be back ❤️

Cozy NorCal Cottage: 2 Mi to Redwoods & Beaches!

NadiaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This place is heavenly! We were first greeted by two beautiful pups who were an awesome welcoming committee; then when we walked in were gifted with freshly made sourdough bread which was delicious! This place is perfectly located for all the best trails throughout the Redwoods but not for food so plan accordingly or eat at Trinidad (which is only 20 mins away). Or you can buy something’s like we did and cook in the perfectly stocked kitchen which has everything you could ever need! Now for the trails! You must visit: Fern Canyon Karl Knapp Trillium Falls Lady Bird And if you have time Trinidad Lighthouse (the lighthouse itself is only open a few times a year but the walk up is so romantic and the views are out of this world! You will be exhausted but there is no better feeling than driving less than 25 minutes from all the best sites back to your comfortable cottage away from it all! You will regret not booking!

Cozy Redwood Escape, Views, Fire pit, Ocean View

RossRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this house. The view was amazing and the house was clean and the area was super quiet. We chose to stay in Orick for the proximity to the trails at Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, Sue-Meg State Park, and Trinidad Head. Plus the cities of Arcata, McKinleyville, and Eureka are not that far away. The house was well stocked–everything we could need in the kitchen, lots of extra blankets, and even a book about Orick’s history. Sunroom was an amazing place to relax and watch the sunset. Just so people are aware, you do have to drive up some narrow, one-lane roads. This wasn't not an issue for us though. Internet speed was about 11Mbps–which for the rural area is quite respectable. Due to high winds, the entire area around Orick lost power for about 6 hours 1 day – but the house did have plenty of flashlights and a power outage plan. Overall, we had a great time and we would definitely stay here again. The location and view are hard to beat.

The Big Blue Barn

BrittneyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We were only there for a day, but stay was comfortable and very cute inside! As many reviews have said before, the bathtub and bathroom is so peaceful and amazing! If anyone is planning on traveling alone, this would definitely be a good place to reflect and be at peace lol. It had everything we needed. One thing to note is that it doesn’t have a full kitchen, which was fine for us. It also doesn’t have a TV, I don’t think? That didn’t bother us either! I messed up and had a late check out, but they were more than understanding and very nice about it. I recommend this place to anyone!
