Casa Xun

Great place. Jacqueline is a great communicator. There is hot water in the shower. It's a long walk from the main road, so if you aren't driving it is a bit out of the way. Otherwise, fantastic accommodation

Blissful Jungle Cabana, Near San Ignacio

IngeRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Our little cabin had everything we wanted, good mattresses, nice outdoor shower, air conditioning (a big plus!), a screened in porch, hammock. A very peaceful place, where we woke up to the sound of birds (and a band of howler monkeys one night). Kate is super friendly and gave us lots of recommendations and information. We had breakfast and dinner a few times and the food was excellent. Bullet Tree Falls has grocery shops, good bakery, restaurants (or maybe just the one we went to right above the river, which was very good) and a beautiful river. We were really glad that we drove the extra 4 km from San Ignacio to stay there.

Jones Rentals

Our first trip to Santa Elena was great and Jaime was an incredible host. The house is in a wonderful neighborhood, safe with a great restaurant nearby. Our dogs loved the yard, and we spent a lot of time relaxing on the porch. Jamie gave us many recommendations for local spots to eat and drink and activities to do in the area. He gave us a tour of the twin towns. Jamie was very responsive and communication was easy. The house was comfortable and clean with all the essential amenities. We are looking forward to going back soon. Highly recommend.

Our stay was wonderful. The host was so friendly and accommodating. It was within walking distance of many great restaurants. We ate at Erva's at the hosts recommendation and it was delicious. We also visited the Iguana Conservation at the hosts recommendation and had an amazing time. If we ever find ourselves in San Ignacio again, we will definitely book again.

Pilgrim's Paradise Cabin 2

GwendolynRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We stayed in cabin number 3. Very sweet and quaint, right on a pond with lots of wild life. Cabin has basic amenities and everything you need. Shower was warm which was a nice surprise! I *think* I read it wasn’t going to be warm, maybe the sun heated it up? We used the water sparingly. Bed was comfortable, AC nice and cool and the kitchen worked great for cooking. Short drive to town, 5 min or so to the nearest grocery store. 30min to big rock water fall and 30min to the Xunantunich ruins. Host and his family are kind and responsive. Will definitely recommend for those wanting a peaceful, off the beaten path place to stay!

Romantic Studio Riverfront 2nd-Floor | Balcony

Mahogany Hall was beautiful. It's outside of town but still very close to anything that you need. The food and drinks were great to have onsite the night we arrived. If you're using Google maps coming on Main Road from San Ignacio, I would recommend skipping the left turn to the backroad it first suggests and going ahead to the fork in the road ahead. If you then take the fork to the left and then take a left on Paslow Falls Road you can skip the rough back road. The RWD we rented didn't like the back road, but you would be better off with a AWD.
