Cabin with river frontage on the Nueces river approx 6 miles up river from Lake Mathis and 9 miles down river from George West. Great fishing! BE ADVISED: the main access route is currently closed for bridge rebuilding. Access to the property will be from CR 151 off Hwy 281, south of George West. This road is mostly unpaved and may be a little rough in spots (still navigable with a sedan but perhaps a little bumpy). Please bring bring bottled water for drinking - tap water isn't so tasty.

Tranquility Hill Main House

Tranquility Hill Ranch is a peaceful oasis of memories of our family and friends at the ranch. We sit on the front porch with our hot tea or coffee and watch the sun rise over bluebonnet hill. The cows will lumber up to drink while birds chirp a good morning song or the turkeys gobble from a distance. During dark nights it seems like the milky way is right over our road to the house, the stars are so bright and sunsets by a fire are a must for reviewing the day and sharing memories.

It's centrally located just 10 minutes from Lake Mathis, 1.5 hours from downtown San Antonio, and 1 hour from downtown Corpus Christi. You’ll love my place because of the tranquility and farmhouse comfort.. My place is good for couples, families, big groups, and furry friends. ***During the months of June, July and August, it is hot in South Texas. With temperatures over 100 degrees and heat index higher. The air conditioning system will cool to 70 at night but may not keep up during the day with temperatures in the 80s. Do not book or ask to book if this is an issue for you.***

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups. This blazing heat enjoy the cistern, now used as a pool fed, by cool water well water. It is 26 feet in diameter and 6 feet deep. Birders will enjoy the variety of birds in this area. Just outside of the city limits, you can really enjoy stargazing.
