The pictures don’t do justice to this place. It’a actually far prettier and cosier. Located in the historical part of Taghit, and the interior is beautifully decorated with traditional aspects of local culture and history. Very clean and super well equipped with hot water, great showers, WC and also a kitchen. The managing team is fantastic! Those guys are super helpful and caring, always ready to assist with anything. Strongly recommend this place for your visit to Taghit! A great value for money, too.

Merouane more than earned this 5-star review -- my wife flew into Adrar airport, which caused a crisis requiring a police escort. Merouane used his local contacts to sort it out. That does hint at the downsides to Timimoun -- it was strikingly expensive, because as a foreigner you can't go anywhere without a guide, even to go for a walk or to drive to the shops. With the guide fees adding up, we were quickly worried about running short of money (we need not have worried, as we spent probably $20/day the rest of our trip, since food/groceries were cheap and no guides were needed). So, when visiting Timimoun, pick a place where you want to be stuck for a while. Merouane's place could well be that place, because it is gorgeous and has a spacious walled compound, with a lovely garden. The house itself has an excellent and well-stocked kitchen, is secure, and despite the charming vernacular architecture caters to Western tastes in many ways, although the beds are a little hard.

Great stay. Host is very responsive via messages. The accommodation is both very peaceful and perfectly located! Great value for money. I highly recommend it.

I spent with my mom and my 3 teenagers 3 unforgettable days and 3 nights in Taghit. We were delighted by the welcome and kindness of Abdou and Léa. The premises are beautiful, clean and very well located. The activities offered delighted us, very nice 4x4 visit of the dunes, a kheima (traditional tent) with sahraw tea tasting, discovery of the unlikely lake in the center of the palm grove and magnificent cave engravings. Not to mention the dynamic getaway of more than an hour by quad bike and the stunning traditional dinner under the keima with its unmissable tea around the fire and under the splendid starry sky of the area. If during the stay you have any concerns or the most exotic need, ask Abdou and Léa. They are as helpful as anyone, adorable as anything and know everyone in Taghit :) I highly recommend... and am already starting to think about my next return to Taghit

Great place, right next to the dunes and a short walk into the centre of town, had a slight misunderstanding over checkout but hoping to get that resolved, otherwise very happy!

Honestly an amazing experience. Merouane, Salim and Mohammed were the best hosts. I'll be back ASAP! You have to stay here to experience, some of the best hospitality I've ever had.
