House holiday rentals in Bear Valley

Absolutely perfect late winter stay! We ventured up to Strawberry/Pinecrest based on fellow parent recs. Lara and Ryan’s place couldn’t be more perfectly situated, 10min from both Dodge Ridge and Leland Snowplay. Plus the property is next to a general store (with friendly owners) and across the street from a hotel restaurant. The space itself is ideal. A remodel that’s exquisitely done with well executed finishes. We cooked in the space and had everything we needed.

We had a great stay, with two families and really enjoyed this cabin, which was exactly as pictured, every square inch of space was used well The bar around the kitchen was great for adults to hang out while someone was cooking. Our two boys loved sleeping in the loft upstairs and built an epic pillow fort around the reading nook. We hadn't realized that the downstairs bathroom was not only ensuite from one king bedroom, but also a 'Jack and Jill' setup from the other hallway with queen and king. That was a pleasant surprise because that meant no one had to climb the stairs to use their bathroom! All in all a great stay -- definitely enough room for 2-3 couples, with 4 twin beds in the loft upstairs for kids.

We enjoyed our third stay at Andrew's place in Pioneer and our first winter stay. Even though the property is part way up into the mountains, it was still a pleasant temperature. That said, we were about 30 minutes from the closest Sno-Park, where we could enjoy some snow play. As usual, the house was clean and well stocked on everything we could need with plenty of stuff to do inside.

Excellent stay in a clean, well-equipped home We thoroughly enjoyed our stay—the place was spotless, and the kitchen had everything we needed. One minor quibble: the coffee maker was tiny and could only brew two cups at a time, which was a bit inconvenient for our group. The location is fantastic—just about an hour’s drive to Yosemite National Park, making it an ideal base for exploring. The community was undergoing construction, and some roads were closed during our visit. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes to enter and pay the $50 entrance fee, which was frustrating. It’s worth asking the host for an update on access or checking ahead before booking.

We had a wonderful time! Beautiful cabin! Our family of 7 were very comfortable! From the time that I booked, the communication was great. the home was as described. peaceful, quiet and beautiful setting. My granddaughter and I named the wild turkeys, deer , hummingbirds and lizards that we saw!The kids had an amazing time in the loft, and I thoroughly enjoyed the deck and hot tub. Convenient to the lake, swimming pool and little town of Groveland, about a one hour drive to Yosemite Valley. I highly recommend Jeff and Gina's home!

We had a great time staying at Anna's place during our kid's spring break. I swam 50 laps each morning in their beautiful pool, and we went hiking down to the Nature Bridge and went to local caverns. We enjoyed our time and enjoyed Anna's place a lot! Thank you!

We loved this place. It was perfect for us. plenty of space, very kid friendly, clean, cozy and just as described in the add. Ronnie and Marlo were great host and respond quickly. Thank you so much we appreciate you!

The FitzInn was perfect for our family. probably one of the cleanest airbnbs. I've stayed in near Arnold yet. the host was very responsive. the home was perfect for our needs in terms of size and location. with respect to the mountain. we loved the love burning stove and the kitchen was very nice with updated appliances. we would love to stay here again.

This cabin had everything we needed! Beautiful and immaculate decor. We particularly liked the master bedroom / bath, kitchen, coffee bar and wall flag. The outdoor space was great from the deck, bbq that was primed into the house for propane and firepit. We never took advantage of air hockey in the garage or corn hole. We would definitely stay again.

Our stay was wonderful. Rudy was very kind, responsive and helpful. When checking in we were welcomed with some great wine and a fresh apple pie. Which was a pleasant surprise. We were traveling with our dogs on this trip and the house was more than equipped to accommodate us and the dogs. From a gated yard, multiple dog beds, bowls, treats, waste bags, and even towels for the dogs. When they say dog friendly, they truly mean it. The house itself, was large, clean and peaceful. It had everything we needed and then some. We really enjoyed sitting outside on the large deck watching the sunset through the trees. Our stay was one for the books and would love to go back. 10/10 recommend.

We're not sure what we loved the most...but we loved absolutely everything about Erin and Jennifer's home! It's pristine, beautifully and uniquely decorated (I want to live in it!), in a quiet, ideal location, walkable to quaint downtown Murphy's. Erin and Jennifer respond within mere minutes to every question, but we didn't have many, because their communication and instructions are so thorough. The backyard is designed as a private oasis, and if we weren't so busy at our Little House on the Prairie event, we would have spent every minute there!! It's AMAZING!! THANK YOU Erin and Jennifer for being such a incredible hosts. Your home is THE BEST home we have ever rented. We'll be back!

The place was cozy and the area was spectacular. The views were beautiful and the space was abundant. Would recommend this place and definitely look forward to staying here again.

This place wasn’t over stated or understated, it had a very welcoming feel. It had very timely decor and very comfortable for us , as a family of four to stay in. (My young son wasn’t afraid to sleep in the spare bedroom by himself) 😃The cabin had board games, books and the hot tub was a big plus for us. The kitchen was the best equipped kitchen to date for any airbnb I had to stay in. Set up was just like my kitchen at home so it made this home cook very happy because I didn’t have go, “Shoot, I wish I had brought this!” Short drive to Bear Valley for some snow fun. Overall very happy to have picked this cabin for our little family vacation.

Loved the house! The backyard was peaceful. Bed was super comfortable. Great location for exploring Murphys. Jeff was always responsive and accommodated a late check out for us. Would definitely stay there again.

This was most definitely a relaxing place to stay the home was clean and comfortable the yard was amazing for my pups they got to enjoy the stay just as much as we did. Natalie was very responsive and respectful. Definitely a great place to get away from the busy city life. If you’re looking for a place to just relax and enjoy the outdoors this home is definitely the place you want to stay.

We had a great stay at Kristin's place. We brought our wakeboard/ ski boat and the neighbors next door moved their car for us so we could park it in the driveway, so nice!! Quiet location, very clean, having air conditioning was a plus, it was very hot that weekend, and being able to walk to the downtown was great. We will for sure book her place again!! Thanks, Nicki

We had a great time around the holidays. The house was big enough to fit 2 families with 4 small children. Very close to the lake to go on walks and use the small playground there. The place is also close to town to get your supplies.

Just absolutely wonderful and exactly like the photos. A real sense of just being in a beautiful and beautifully designed space full of perfect touches. I stayed a month and was very sad to leave! Aria was a great host and go-between with the rather draconian guardians of the gated community (every delivery has to be individually called in and you need a weekly pass to drive through the gate). Being a mile from the lake was wonderful as was the drive up the mountain. And of course you are close to Yosemite. Could not recommend it more highly.

Our group of 11 adults, one energetic 3-year-old, and two happy dogs felt completely at home in this beautiful, nature-wrapped retreat. The home was spacious, spotless, and incredibly well-equipped for a large group — from the cozy indoor spaces to the relaxing jacuzzi under the stars. Also, had 2 great decks with access to a stream. The location is peaceful and serene, offering a perfect escape from city life while being close enough to enjoy local vineyards and trails. What truly made our experience exceptional was the host — proactive, responsive, and genuinely caring. Every little detail was thoughtfully arranged, and communication was seamless throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place for families, friend groups, or anyone looking to recharge in a tranquil, pet-friendly setting!

Fantastic experience! The house has a great layout for large parties—the rooms are spread out from one another and there are several different areas to socialize in. Hosts were always responsive and helpful. The only downside was the size of the cooking area in the kitchen, but the room itself was large enough that we just spread out to the table ti do our chopping, etc. The massive kitchen table and the gorgeous deck were our favorite parts. They also left out some snacks for our arrival. 10/10 recommend!

Second time staying here! It is one of our favorite spots near Jackson/Amador to stay. Beautiful surroundings, absolutely gorgeous, and very private. More than enough space for a large group or a nice escape for two. The backyard is fenced, so if you have a dog it is safe for them to roam. Ample parking. House itself is extremely clean and well stocked in the kitchen, with pretty much all the basic food items and pretty much all the cutlery/cooking equipment you might need (I dont think there was a kitchen aid? But everything else you could want). About 20-25 minutes from Sutter Creek, 20 minutes from the hospital. Definitely staying here again when we come up if it works out with our schedule!
