Michaels place was super close to pub street and really good restaurants. Chilly welcomed us and showed us to our room and was very helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here. Location was amazing!

very lovely property with a mango tree in the garden ❤️ it's not super central in the city but it is walking distance to many things. the price is amazing - even more so if you're in a group or are a family. enjoyed my stay overall.

Kim is a gem, super friendly and will help with whatever you need. I had an issue in my room, she changed me to another room quickly and got trades people in to fix the issue. The coffee shop attached is a good place to wake up!

The Pha TaNa Apartment is comfortable, clean and it matches the photos and description. The only negative thing is that the WiFi is slow and it does not work sometimes.

Great apartment right in the center at a great price! Yes, you can hear the music from Pub street, but that's why you're here, isn't it? :) And of course Kim is the most friendly and helpful! Next time i come to siem reap i will definitely live here.

Off the beaten path, tucked into the back streets of the busy motorways of Siem is the Raininghouse Apartments. With a solo studio all to myself, I had the space and seclusion to work (freelance writer), get caught up on rest and/or binge watch a new series or flick with relatively consistent (the electricity went out on average once every other day) WiFi. The complex is about a 15-20 minute walk to Pub Street and a few local markets and temples, but a tuk tuk can be arranged for you should you desire one ($2-$3 depending where in town you’re headed). The property offers laundry service ($4 a kilo) as well as two food options (noodle soup or fried rice with your choice of vegetables, chicken, pork or beef for $3—I tired them both and both are splendid and more than enough for one person) and is fitted with air con and a ceiling fan. Large fridge to hold plenty of food and water as well as a single burner to cook (moderately) on my own. The water pressure in the shower left much to be desired, but the separate spikette did wonders if you don’t mind crouching down or splashing yourself pretty good. There are one too many spiderwebs on the ceiling, but all Daddy-long-leg spiders so no real qualms there. The bed is fitted w a queen-sized, memory foam mattress and I got one pillow, one light blanket, and one towel. I loved that I wasn’t bothered daily for cleaning, rather that the staff waited for me to ask after it to come in while I was out exploring. Any full trash bags can be left out front of the door for collection. There’s a large security gate, which is locked nightly at 10p, that you’re given a key to along w your room key. If there’s anything whatsoever amiss, simply inquire about it and it will remedied immediately. Phearun, the person to which I coordinated my stay with, is a sweetheart and did everything and anything he could to assist me and make my stay enjoyable despite working a full time job and volunteering at an orphanage an hour outside of town. He can arrange for day tours for you as well, all you need do is ask. For budget travelers not put out by the lack of enticing amenities featured at the resorts and larger hotels in the area, Raininghouse is the logical choice. I’d take cross cultural exchanges with locals vs a loud night at the bar w other expats any day of the week!

Great place to stay in Siem Reap, close enough to places like pub street to be convenient, but far enough to be quiet. The host is very nice and super responsive and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again!

We had a fantastic stay at Mao's house. It is well located to visit Angkor, and we really appreciated staying in the village with all the comfort of a home. Mao and his family made all possible for us to feel at home, had great recommendations for what to do in the area, and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you again we hope to visit you again! I could not recommend more.

We just loved our time with Esaro and his family. There is no way you could feel more welcomed by anyone. From the minute you arrive you feel like one of the family .. so kind and effortless. Their food is really tasty and fresh (mostly cooked by his lovely wife) The rooms are rustic and sweet with a really nice chill out area with hammock. The bed was comfy and there is a decent mosquito net to keep you free from any bites during the night 😊. There is good wifi If you need it, but most of the time we enjoyed heading out for a few trips and then just enjoying the local company at ‘home’ with Esaro and his family. The caves are only a walk away , but there is an easy tuk tuk service available that Esaro can organise quickly if you want to use that (or when you want to head further into the main city). There are also some bikes you can use if you fancy a cycle. If you want to get lost for a few days in local life alongside a few trips, Esaro’s Homestay is perfect.

This might have been one of my favorite Airbnbs! We absolutely loved the property and staff. They were very welcoming, kind, attentive and gave great local recommendations. I would recommend anyone coming to the area to say here, it was a beautiful stay.

We had an amazing week at this beautiful villa, we loved everything about it, especially the peaceful and private rooftop garden and pool. The bed was super comfortable and the AC was so good after hot days exploring Siem Reap. The hosts and staff are all lovely and we especially enjoyed temple trips with Mr Kong on his tuk tuk, and car trips with Sam. We recommend a week here, there is a lot to do, and the location of this villa is perfect for exploring, and has great dining nearby, and a short tuk tuk ride anywhere. We also used the bikes and a scooter and always felt safe. This place is a gem, and it’s great to support a family owned business.

It's really a nice place. The house looks really great from the outside, and on the inside it has everything you need for a vacation: comfortable bed, AirCon, shower and kitchen. Though it is located a bit far from the city center, the host kindly offered me a bicycle. Also the host helped me with the transfer from / to the airport, for which I'm very grateful. All in all, it's a good house, and I might stay here again.

My family of 7 had a wonderful time staying here. The place was spacious and exactly as described. Very clean. Walking distance to some local restaurants and the famous Mahob restaurant. We would stay here again!

I had a nice stay at this apartment. I appreciated that the host allowed me to check-in early and arranged a tuk tuk to pick up me. The space itself is nice, it has everything you need including strong wifi. I felt the single bed was softer an more comfortable than the big bed. I cooked often and never had any problem with insects. The views from the room are nice especially sunsets. I mainly kept curtains closed for privacy and because the sun in April is strong. There is a water pump outside the apartment entry door which makes noise often if you plan to sleep in the kitchen room consider bringing ear plugs. The bedroom is quiet most of the time but there can be dogs or roosters that make noise during the night or early morning. I feel like the apartment is good value for the money and so I recommend it to others who don’t mind living a bit further out. Calling tuk tuks with grab or getting food delivery is simple. The host is a kind person and communication was easy.

Lim and Mani are both so kind. They invited us to their New Years celebration the first day. Always brought fresh mangos. Their dogs kept the place safe at night. Always helpful and kind. Huge place with 2 bedrooms and private bathroom was very nice. Able to buy any food we needed for meals and all kinds of cooking pots etc in good condition. Super comfortable beds! We felt at home there, like it was our own home. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return again a few months later, if room. No cockroaches or big bugs only some ants which can be controlled with spray. You will also see some cute little chameleons,as it's part of life there. They don't bother you and chat with each other, so it's kind of interesting. But the place is big and beautiful. I strongly recommend this place. Outside pub street but a short TukTuk ride, which is also fun.

This is a great spot to hang out at - the location enables you to witness Cambodian suburban life happening as is. From people going to and fr from wok, school children and the suburban hustle of people going about their business. Roland his wife and child are friendly and his wife is an amazing conjurer of treats. Roland is an eclectic Frenchman and plays the good host in their simple inhouse cafe-bar. He is also able to book transport for you. Ask for a chap named Sarou. I would recommend this place for people with children over 10 and for the young at heart. A memorable experience.
