Townhome holiday rentals in Basel-Landschaft

Isabelle and her mother were warm, welcoming hosts, and I had a good stay overall. The property is in a fantastic location near Old Town, with quick direct links both to the airport and Messeplatz. I appreciated getting an extra pillow when I asked for one, and being able to leave my luggage for a few hours after checkout. When picking it up, I was even offered a coffee 'for the road'. I will just mention two things. First, lthough a kitchen is listed as an amenity, I sensed a bit of reluctance around fridge use for example, which discouraged me from doing any simple cooking such as making eggs. Second, the street itself is quiet and the room overlooks a peaceful garden, but it's an older house with squeaky stairs/floorboards and rather thin walls. As there are several rooms being rented out, you tend to wake up with whomever goes to the bathroom first in the morning. So if you're noise-sensitive, you may want to consider that. Though overall, again, it was a nice experience.

My husband and I travel often, and this was hands down the best Airbnb stay we've ever had. Sabine and Frans are the warmest, kindest, most thoughtful hosts. They responded quickly before our arrival, and despite our delayed flight, warmly welcomed us late at night. The apartment was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped – it truly felt like home. We especially appreciated the great tea selection, quality linens & towels, and umbrellas they provided during our rainy stay. They also generously gave us free public transport passes, which saved us so much during our trip, including easy airport access. Since no guests were coming right after us, they graciously let us stay until our evening flight – such a relief! And perhaps the most touching moment of all: Sabine gifted us a handmade present for our soon-to-arrive baby. It was so thoughtful and meaningful – we were genuinely moved. If you're looking for a stay with comfort, care, and incredible hosts, this is it. We can’t wait to return!

The room and bathroom and common space are clean and hygienic, the host is very friendly, responsive, willing to help, gave transportation cards and luggage storage, thank you very much. What an amazing home! We were traveling with our one year old, and Cyrill made sure we had everything we could possibly need - including a huge box of toys for our son to play with. He also brought over an outdoor car for our son to sit and play on. The place was spotless and the kitchen had everything you could need for short or long term stay. The sunroom has amazing natural light that brightens the space and makes it feel even bigger than it already is. Both my husband and I worked from the home, and the WiFi was strong enough to support video calling from both our laptops. The town of Schönenbuch is incredibly peaceful, and the 33 bus takes you right into Basel or nearby Allschwil. We were able to walk down to the market for anything we needed quickly. We are already hoping to stay here for our next trip to Switzerland. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a place to stay near Basel. There’s even a very reliable parking spot off the street. You will not regret booking!

Location cannot be beat - gorgeous gardens, well appointed kitchen, right on the river, grocery store, bars, restaurants close by. We rented the entire house - if you didn’t, you’d be sharing the shower room and the kitchen.

I had a great stay at Toms and Angelas place. They welcomed me in such a friendly way, I got some tea and something sweet to eat. I love the place, it’s like a Walhalla and as I was going to Joe Dispenza, this Airbnb was the best place to stay, high vibing energy! You can easily walk to the center or take the tram, but I preferred to walk. Also if you’re going to Joe Dispenza, you can walk to the place easily and avoid waiting for the crowded trams at the end :)

The place was really safe, comfortable and we felt right at home! Katharina and her partner were friendly and cheerful. Their house is just 2 min away from the train station so it was easy for us to go around. There's a small note: Check the train's hours carefully! We stayed at Katharina's house for only 2 nights but everything was super good 🥰

I've been here twice. Very nice house, friendly and helpful host. Would recommend it to anyone travelling to Basel. 10/10
