Holiday rentals with a patio in Barry

Booked last minute before the Newport Marathon and it was exactly what I needed. Ann was very welcoming and kindly left out coffee and juice to help fuel the run! The annexe is nice and private and has everything you'd need. Car/bus needed to get into Cardiff.

This is a well presented apartment which is convenient for motorways and city. It is situated in the Bay area which has a number of restaurants and seemed safe. The area is quiet. There is no difficulty getting a taxi into the city or it is an approximate 20 minute walk. The apartment has its own off street parking space which is appreciated. It is clean and all kitchen appliances and bathroom fittings work well. It is most suited for a guest number of 2-4 as there are 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed. There are two bathrooms which is very convenient. The mentioned lounge sofa bed is not a great extra accomodation option but that is similar to elsewhere. The hosts respond very promptly and helpfully to any enquiry. It is probably at the upper reasonable price range if there were only two guests. The owners offer earlier/later check in/out for an extra cost, ? slight unnecessary mercantilism. I do not have any hesitation in recommending this apartment for a short city break stay.

A very tidy little place for a stay in Swansea. Angela was very responsive and helpfully left a drying rack available so that we could do our washing. In a quiet neighbourhood and the bed was very comfortable.

Great place to stay for a weekend away in Cardiff. Short walk to Mermaid Quay. Really peaceful location. Spacious and very clean, comfy beds. Bonus of a secure parking space. Host was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Would 100% recommend.

Byron and Kate’s place was amazing, such a beautiful space in a great location and so quiet and peaceful. On top of that Byron and Kate may well be the best hosts we’ve ever met. Couldn’t do enough for us, super helpful and had thought of absolutely everything. Couldn’t fault a thing about the property, these experiences are why we use Airbnb instead of hotels. Will definitely be trying to book here again if we are back in Cardiff. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thanks so much

We spent just one night at Kay’s lovely apartment. She responded quickly to any questions , very clean, comfy bed and lovely decking over a very pretty stream.

Great communication, lovely welcome pack on arrival, super convenient for walking into town and the pier. Accommodation was spotless, everything you need for a break away. Master bedroom massive! And the bed is possibly the most comfortable bed away from home I’ve ever slept in.

From arrival to departure our stay in The Cwtch was thoroughly enjoyable. Andrew could not have been more helpful. The flat is in walking distance of the city centre, yet wonderfully peaceful. Very tastefully decorated and equipped. Would totally recommend for a stay in Cardiff.

I cannot overstate how amazing this place is. I was looking for an escape into the woods and it was exactly what I wanted. The setting of the cottage is stunning, right on the river and surrounded by trees. It feels remote, even though it's only a short walk into the village. The welcome was really friendly, you can tell that the owners are very active in their community and have put together loads of local info. I particularly liked the map of the community forrest which made me feel confident enough to explore walks by myself. The cottage itself is beautifully kept, with everything that you need, and then some. I didn't want to leave.

Thanks for having us Jules. Perfect house for what we needed. Clean, comfortable and cosy. East to get into town by bus or Uber. Found somewhere to park on the street outside easily. Lovely and quiet at night. Perfect little garden.

Sue was a wonderful host - she messaged us prior to arrival to give us very helpful instructions on how to find the place & was always quick to reply to messages. The place is really cosy and has a nice homey feel to it. The stairs are a bit tricky at first, but you get used to it after a few time and forget about it being troublesome. The bed was so comfy & the pillows were so good that we went and bought some of the same brand ones oursepves! This accommodation is ideal if you are going to be spending the day in Cardiff as it is only a short car ride away. Both me and my partner can happily recommend this place to anyone!

We had a fantastic week in Cardiff, staying at Michael’s place in Penarth. The house was perfect for our group of six - clean, spacious, stylish, and equipped with everything we needed. It really felt like a home away from home. Penarth is a lovely area with great cafes, restaurants, and a beautiful coastal walk. We especially loved the walk over the Cardiff Bay Barrage Locks. The kitchen was well equipped and with a large wine fridge, which is a godsend with such a large group. Michael, Nadia and Kate were brilliant hosts, quick to respond and full of great local recommendations. We’d absolutely stay again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

My Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay , It was like a home 🏠 from home 🏡, very clean , Garden looks amazing 🤩 Beds most importantly very comfortable, Lynette a very responsive host ,great local walks, amazing mountain ⛰️ views from the windows and garden!we are definitely 👍🏻 coming back!! The place was easy to find as the instructions were clear and check in was easy. It was definitely a home away from home , there was everything you could ever need - crockery, cutlery, pots pans, toilet roll, washing up products, clean towels etc . The central heating was so good it made the house warm and cosy within seconds (the weather was a cold and wet when we visited). Everything was spotless and fresh. The view from the kitchen balcony was absolutely beautiful. We had a great time staying here and would love to return sometime in the future. Thank you so much Larisa!

Charlotte was an excellent host who gave clear instructions and made the place feel very welcoming. The house was ideal for a weekend stay to enjoy some of Cardiff’s tourist sites and spend a day a Sophia Gardens to watch some Cricket. It was comfortable and spacious with and easy to use kitchen, clean bathroom and relaxing lounge. When returning to the area we would happily use this place again.

Lovely stay at Aaron and Jai’s place. Felt right at home there and it’s in a great location- in the city but still nice and peaceful. Aaron and Jai were great hosts, really friendly and informative. I would definitely recommend this place and will stay here again myself if I’m ever in the area again.

The communication from booking to leaving was fantastic. The flat is spotlessly clean. A lot of thought has been put into it too make guest extremely comfortable. It was great sitting on the large veranda area in the evening as the sun went down. By far this is the best Airbnb I have stayed in. We will be booking again and again. This was our third time staying here. It’s a lovely apartment, beautifully furnished and in a great location. Paul and Wendy are very friendly and helpful hosts. We love coming here to relax and walk. We can safely park up the car on the drive and not have to use it again until we leave, as there are lots of nice places to visit on foot, good restaurants and cafes.

Beautiful apartment with stunning views over Royal Porthcawl golf course and out to sea. Jonny was a great host. We really enjoyed our stay and will look forward to visiting again.

It was compact as described, very new and clean. We got great sleep and appreciated being able to park our rental car in the drive.

We booked this last minute for a quick getaway and we will definitely return! Such a beautiful apartment with loads of outdoor space and the children’s bedroom was dreamy! They’ve requested the same lights at home! All the little touches were very much appreciated, thank you again Dave for being so wonderful :)
