House holiday rentals in Barjac

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

The Atelier is a truly exceptional place to stay. It is a unique, beautifully styled property in a wonderfully peaceful location. Staying at the Atelier allows you to completely unwind surrounded by nature whilst being close to fantastic places to visit, like Nîmes and the Pont du Gard. The pool was very welcome on a hot day! Yolène is a wonderful, very responsive host, who has created a very special place to stay. She gave us great recommendations for local restaurants, shops and fêtes when we arrived but completely respected our privacy after that. We would definitely recommend the Atelier to our friends (in fact we have already done so!) and hope to have the opportunity to return one day.

Une parfaite petite maison pour s’évader ! Idéalement bien placée dans les Cévennes, hyper calme, décorée avec beaucoup de goût et bien équipée. Avec en sus piscine et belle piste de pétanque … Et des hôtes disponibles, réactifs et très sympathiques !

Our family of 5 had the most wonderful stay at this charming farmhouse on a quiet street near the village of Gordes. La Bastide des As is absolutely beautiful, blending rustic charm with chic decor and modern amenities. The house is spacious and cozy, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved the lovely pool and outdoor dining areas- perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the surrounding villages. Sophie was truly amazing. She was incredibly attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and going out of her way to make our stay special. She sent us advance recommendations on activities, dining, vineyards and shopping. Her warm hospitality really added to the experience. It’s a lovely place for anyone looking to unwind in the heart of Provence—a perfect combination of tranquility and modern comforts. We can’t wait to return!

le lieu simplement sublime la maison est magnifique et l’environnement est une vraie carte postale. c’est un endroit paisible, entre pierres et nature. les propriétaires sont adorables et Blandine est vraiment réactive. merci beaucoup

Le lieu est bucolique et calme, la maison exceptionnelle d’originalité, de confort et d’élégance, la piscine très agréable (surtout après une rando)… Et pour ne rien gâcher, Gaëlle et Thomas sont d’une gentillesse (et d’une discrétion) absolue. Que dire de plus, à part inciter ceux qui liront cet avis à y aller ?

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans le logement de Claude. La maison est très bien équipée, tout est pensé pour le confort des voyageurs (literie de grande qualité). Il est préférable d'être véhiculé pour pouvoir profiter pleinement des magnifiques environs. Malheureusement nous n’avons pas pu profiter autant que nous voulions de l’extérieur, du fait du temps capricieux et des moustiques voraces. Claude est vraiment un véritable plus dans cette location, très accueillant, de bons conseils, tout en restant discret, ce qui permet de profiter du séjour en toute tranquillité. Les petites attentions (bouteille de rosé, olives du jardin) nous ont fait très plaisir et ont été plus qu’appréciées. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement !

Wir durften (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) für eine Woche zu Gast bei Thomas in seinem Haus sein. Die Ausstattung des Hauses lässt wirklich keine Wünsche offen, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub benötigt. Wenn die Außentemperaturen dann ansteigen, ist für den Innenbereich eine Klimaanlage und für den Außenbereich ein Pool zur Abkühlung vorhanden. Das Haus ist auch ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für zahlreiche Aktivitäten rund um die Ardeche, zb - Kanufahrten ab Vallon-Pont-d'Arc (ca 15 min Fahrtzeit) - Canyoning (ca 60min Fahrzeit) - Baden in der Ardeche (ca 15min Fahrtzeit) - zahlreiche Tropfsteinhöhlen (ca 15 min Fahrtzeit) Wir hatten bei Thomas einen perfekten Urlaub :)

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit, an diesem tollen Ort. Der Sitzplatz mit der super Aussicht hat uns speziell gut gefallen. Wir können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Besten Dank für ein paar schöne Tage!

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in dem Haus. Manon war sehr freundlich und sehr gut erreichbar. Ein wunderbarer Ort umgeben von schöner Natur und perfekt für jeden der auf Privatsphäre Wert legt. Wir würden gerne wieder kommen.

Wir bedanken uns bei Antoine und Aurelie für einen wunderschönen Urlaub. Tolle Gastgeber, immer freundlich und hilfsbereit mit vielen Tipps für Ausflüge + Restaurants. Die Unterkunft war genau wie beschrieben. Es war alles in guter Qualität und ausreichender Menge vorhanden. Der Pool hat die teilweise große Hitze erträglich gemacht. Nachts war es angenehm kühl, so dass man morgens sehr erholt aufgewacht ist. Die Natur ist unbeschreiblich. Hunderte Schmetterlinge und üppige Vegetation. Für uns einmalig. Für unsere Hündin die totale Freiheit. Auch zusammen mit den netten Gastgeber-Hündinnen Ipa und Lumi. Vielen lieben Dank - wir kehren sehr erholt nach Hause zurück. Zur Umgebung: ein Landstrich geprägt von Flüssen und Wäldern. Im Juni wenig Tourismus und somit sehr ursprünglich. Regional eine gute gesunde Küche. Für uns ganz neue Eindrücke von Frankreich. Viele nette Erlebnisse mit freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Franzosen. Mediterranes Klima. Wir kehren gerne zurück.

This was one of the best places we ever stayed at. Everything was super clean. We felt right at home, with the kitchen being set up with every equipment needed to make nice meals. It is just a short drive out of Gordes which makes it perfect to wind down. Its such a beautiful peaceful surroundings. Super easy to drive to all the other towns in the area. We had a great time outdoors in the beautiful garden, with a lovely dining set up and the pool, also pool towels were provided which was amazing. Everything was just great and we would definitely come back.

Das wunderschöne Steinhaus in Labastide mit seinen lavendelfarbenen Fensterläden hat uns auf den ersten Blick gefallen. Dank der drei Sitzmöglichkeiten davor, kann man abends mit der Sonne wandern und vom Apéro bis zum Dessert draussen sitzen…. Es ist geschmackvoll und originell eingerichtet und nicht überladen. In der Küche gibt es alles, was man braucht und man kann dort sehr gut kochen. Dies auch dank der hervorragenden Märkte in der Umgebung. Wir haben dank der ausgezeichneten Matratzen super geschlafen und die Strasse vor dem Haus ist kein Thema, so wenig Autos, wie da kursieren. Die Gegend um Labastide ist hoch attraktiv und wir waren täglich schwimmen, haben die umliegenden Dörfer erkundet und waren in den Grotten. Alles sehr empfehlenswert. Danke Lina, für die aufmerksame Gastfreundschaft. Wir werden wieder kommen!

Un endroit idéal pour se ressourcer en pleine nature, un accueil chaleureux et un gîte propre et confortable. Je recommande vivement.

Nous avons passé un super séjour en famille dans le logement de Clothilde et Juan. Nous avons tout particulièrement apprécié la beauté et le calme du lieu, ainsi que la piscine. Le logement est très bien aménagé et joliment décoré. Il y a plusieurs possibilités de visites à environ 30 minutes de voiture (Gordes, Senanques, Roussillon, ...). Clothilde et Juan sont très accueillants et sympathiques sympathiques. Merci à eux!

Exceeded expectations. Coffee machine was also excellent. The home really has a heart and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a peacful retreat that feels great for the soul. Kitchen was well equipped and bedrooms were hotel standard. You can tell alot of love and time has been put into the furnishing and decor. Landscaping surrounds were a joy to explore, enjoyed sun bathing, a little ping pong, walking amoungst the trees with the family, exploring the orchard and lavender field followed by Rose and movie nights in the extremely comfortable living room. Ellen and Aries were incredible hosts.

Séjour idyllique, une immersion dans la nature, dans un logement très confortable, tres beau! et des ballades sublimes a faire aux alentours ; le ressourcement assuré!

The property is lovely and the hosts were very welcoming and respectful and helpful with suggestions. Our only critique would be that the pool whilst lovely is not private and shared with the hosts who admittedly did not use it whilst we were there and if you like me love to cook the oven was portable and a slight challenge to use. The village and walks were incredible and the location near to Uzes, Nimes and Avignon makes for a lovely stay. A big thank you to Pascal and Catherine x

Ce logement est magnifique et il est situé dans un décor splendide. C’est le calme total. Il y a de très belles randonnées à faire dans la région. Nous sommes venus à un moment où il ne faisait pas très chaud avec beaucoup pluie. Le système de chauffage est un petit poêle à bois à combustion lente que nous avons dû fournir en bois tout au long de notre séjour afin de réchauffer le logement et chasser l’humidité. Mais ce séjour a été une expérience unique.

This old converted water mill makes a lovely family house, perfect for all generations. It is isolated (no need to worry about children screaming in the swimming pool) and surrounded by beautiful countryside, with signed hiking trails in all directions. You can walk to the very attractive village of Lussan for an ice cream or drink, (but any sort of food shopping does mean a car journey.) Our group comprised grandparents, parents and three children (aged 3 to 8). The children loved the pool, the trampoline and the bikes. The adults enjoyed boules and molkii. (There's also table tennis and lots of board games.) Vincent, the owner, lives close by and we were amazed at how quickly and efficiently he came round to deal with any little problems.
