This place is perfectly located right in the outskirts of the jungle of Bardai. So walking around and getting into the park is much easier. It is a hidden comfort amid the lush garden with chirping birds, monkeys and even leopards lurking sometimes from the park next to it. The stream in the front and back is where Fish Eagle and king fishers visit quite often looking for fishes.   Rooms are spacious, Air conditioned with comfortable mattresses. Hot water is based on solar and works perfectly. I was there in January and days were still warm and sunny. This is quite simply the best place to stay in Bardia - great value, nice clean rooms and amazing food. Vegetables and fruits were grown in their farm and had a strong local, organic taste.  The owner is a remarkable individual who has experienced the Bardia jungle since the era of royal hunting. I am from the United States and have been traveling to India and Nepal for twelve years with lots of experience staying in both western and Indian / Nepali hotels. This one has a western toilet, hot shower, and comfortable bed with lots of quilts and clean sheets. Manoj’s wife is also USA and knows what comforts us Americans appreciate. Also, there is a small kitchen area with an LP stove, filtered water and a french press. There is also a barista right down the street. Clean and everything you need to feel comfortable. I recommend highly.

We were welcomed by Krishna and his family and instantly felt at home. Krishna explained us all the possibilities in regards to jungle walks and other outdoor activities and we decided to go with him for a jungle walk that started early in the morning. His wife prepared us delicious meals for our journey and since Krishna had 22 years of experience as a guide you can count on some amazing stories and new cool insights about the wildlife in Nepal. Since we were traveling by car from Nepal to India, Krishna was very thoughtful and helpful with any questions or requests we’ve had in regards to border crossing and money exchanging for example. Dont be fooled by other resorts in the area that might look more fancy, Krishna’s place is the place to be! Dont hesitate to have some Chai or a beer with him and his family back at the resort and be sure to ask him about his adventures from back in the day, Nepalese culture and football od course.
