Holiday rentals in Barbuda

Wonderful off the beaten path unique experience! Rustic but very well done sleeping room, shower, and toilet. Steady ocean breeze kept the room comfortable at night during our 3 nights in April. Would highly recommend to anyone adventurous or outdoorsy seeking unspoiled natural setting!

A little slice of paradise - this place is amazing. Stunningly beautiful location right on the seafront. It is remote but for us that was part of the attraction. We didn’t hire a car so wasn’t much to do except soak up the atmosphere, make use of the paddle boards and kayaks, snorkel off the beach, and walk around the rocks to Princess Diana Beach. The food in the restaurant is delicious, as are the cocktails! We arrived early off the ferry, were picked up by the cottages who took us to the small shop for supplies (which has limited choice so bring what you can with you from Antigua if you can!) and checked in straight away. Lots of little touches made this a truly special and memorable stay - thank you so much Kelcina & Oliver.

What a wonderful, wonderful experience we (my husband, not yet 2-year old son, and I) had. Hosts Afiya and Asha were so easy to communicate with and so thoughtful. From arrival to departure and everything in between, we were so pleasantly surprised with a better than expected trip. The little touches really felt five star. And the accommodations felt exceptionally comfortable with how clean and nicely designed and well thought out everything was. We spent most of the trip scheming to come back sooner than later! We relaxed “at home,” on “our beach,” around the fire pit, ate from our host mom’s shop, visited the village, visited the Caribbean beach, visited a “nearby” remote bay beach, and still felt like we didn’t cover nearly enough ground!

Barbuda is a place for peaceful pristine beaches, and adventure if you choose to seek it. This house located right on the beach offers access to both. A couple minutes walk brings you to the best restaurant on the island, Uncle Roddys. There is the best beach in the world right down the road 8 min drive away. Princess Diana beach, with calm lapping waves, and white sand. You’ll possibly be the only one there. Grab some drinks at shak-a-Kai , let Enoch know in advance and you can have lobster or chicken right on the beach. At the house, we enjoyed its peacefulness, shell hunting along the beach, and use of the kayak. Mr. Thomas let us rent his car for the week, and any questions or issues we had he was helpful. He came right down and helped an internet issue, and when we had a flight issue at the airport when leaving, Mr Thomas personally came down to help, and let us stay another night when we needed. I can’t say enough good about their hospitality to us, and the beauty of their isle.

Without a doubt, Barbuda cast a strong spell over my family and I .... We have been fortunate to visit many islands in the Caribbean, but can say with confidence that Barbuda is absolutely one of our very favorites. The beauty, the beaches, the people, the peace and solitude, the cottages, and just the spirit of overcoming difficult times are felt at every turn on Barbuda. It's a truly magical island that has to be experienced to be truly appreciated. Would we return to Barbuda Cottages? Well, I’m writing this review in the airport in Antigua as we wait for our flight home. As a semi-procrastinator, doing something so immediate is quite a rarity :) But, that answer would be a resounding YES. Special places like Barbuda Cottages are few and far between nowadays, and when you find one like we thankfully did, you begin plotting your return the minute you leave. Thank you Kelcina and Oliver for helping to create one of the most memorable vacations we’ve ever had!

Highly recommend for both the location, which is idyllic and the hosts, who are delightful. Kelcina, Oliver and Chris made our stay perfectly memorable and were always on hand to help and advise.

Barbuda Cottages were absolutely fabulously. Kelcina our host and other staff were amazing. Surroundings were beautiful. Beachfront! Amenities were good. Everything was perfect. We rented a car for the week and made good use of it. I’m definitely coming back to Barbuda!

It is an awesome camper to stay in, really modern stile, even better than any motels/hotels. Very responsive host, all in all a great experience on Barbuda.
