Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Bages

Eric and his partner have lovingly restored and built this property set around the ruins of a 12 Century castle. It is astonishingly beautiful. On the roof terrace there is also a small shared pool. We were here out of season, but it was a lovely hot day, so Eric got up early in the morning to open and clean the pool for us. The inside is equally charming and the nights were super cold, but the heating works extremely well. Eric is an artist and also showed us his atelier- really beautiful paintings. I couldn’t recommend this place more. It is authentic with beautiful surroundings and the nicest possible host. I will recommend this to all my friends and would like to return for an extended stay.

Best Airbnb we have stayed at. The pool is perfect and the view is amazing. The house is full of everything you need and more, like board games, movies etc. Jonathan was so helpful in giving us advice in exploring the area. Worth the money!!! Definitely best if you have a car, but we managed fine without one. There’s a local uber driver in the area who is lovely and has a low fare.

What a pleasure to arrive in this peaceful place from which we could go on our different hikes. Well done for this treasure hunt that we will not reveal more: it takes imagination and mutual help between participants. Congratulations on your works that make this place unique.

A really great place! Individually designed, very tasteful and equipped with everything necessary. The location is great in the vineyards, super quiet and yet you are by car in 15 minutes by car. Renaud is a great host, always friendly, helpful and with great recommendations and tips. We will definitely be back!

We had a very nice stay. The house is cozy, with fireplace, and especially with children ideal – there are many games, puzzles and books. Even on a rainy day, we were able to keep the kids busy so well. Everything is lovingly decorated, there is plenty of space, a very well equipped kitchen and a beautiful garden. A special highlight of course was the fantastic view and an evening walk on the dirt roads that start right behind the house and where there are chickens, cows and donkeys to discover. Joëlle was an attentive host and provided us with many helpful excursion tips and addresses. Thank you – we would have liked to have stayed longer!

Alexandra and Jean-Noël are particularly friendly and welcoming hosts. The studio they offer for rent is a bucolic marvel. The view is splendid, the interior cozy and the setting with the nearby walks and the animals that inhabit the place is incredible. Virginia's apartment is stunning. With high ceilings and lovely furnishings, it really is a special place to stay. There are balconies off every room too. Situated just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Beziers, in a very beautiful building, it got our holiday off to a tremendous start!

Paul's studio is very nice and has everything. There's everything, and more. It's better than described in the listing and is in a great location. Plus, it's a place that has a soul. And this soul is given to him by Paul, the host, with his kindness, his attentiveness and his gentlemanliness. Thank you for everything. Highly recommended.

We had already come to Philippe's apartment and we found it with great pleasure. This apartment is really great. Great location, with a magnificent view from a very nice terrace. It is super well-equipped, very clean, tastefully decorated. Christine, Philipe's mom, welcomed us with great kindness, and really wanted us to enjoy our vacation by giving us little tips. Philippe and Christine are very responsive in communicating with their tenants. Highly recommended accommodation

I have stayed in airbnbs all over the world and this by far is one of the best. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The towels were luxurious and not chintzy. Best of all, it is tucked away on a quiet and charming street in the middle of absolutely everything. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here for a few days or longer!

Simple but efficient apartment. Very beautiful location in the Agly valley. Go there with your eyes closed: you will not be disappointed. Beautiful starting points for hikes and nature and heritage discoveries.

We had an exceptional stay in this beautiful home! Everything was perfectly as described, or even better. The house is spacious, very clean, tastefully decorated and perfectly equipped — you immediately feel at home. The garden is a real plus, ideal for relaxing in peace. The village is quiet and pleasant. The host was available, welcoming and very responsive to our questions, which greatly facilitated our arrival and stay. We spent a wonderful week here on a family trip (5 adults and 1 toddler). The house had plenty of space for us all and an idyllic garden and pool. A cot, high chair, plates and toys were provided, with kids Netflix also available, which made it a perfect stay for our toddler. We would definitely return and recommend!

We have enjoyed the nicely decorated and complete house. With that, the pool was great! Beautiful house, quiet location and lots of privacy. Our adolescent children (16 and 18 years) also found it a perfect place. For activities with teenagers, you have to travel a bit, but there is plenty to do in a beautiful area. Communication with Emilie was excellent!! She is quick, thoughtful, very friendly and welcoming. Her mother too! We'd love to come back!

I had the pleasure of staying two nights in a remarkably decorated, bright, quiet and perfectly equipped accommodation. The setting is both peaceful and very pleasant. I would like to thank Sabine and Eric for their high-quality welcome, their availability and their sense of service. Their wise advice on local activities and good addresses greatly enriched my stay. I also had the chance to discover local products made available in the accommodation. It was a very successful experience, which I will be happy to repeat to continue discovering the region.

Cédric is great - stuck around to help us resolve a few unpredictable issues on arrival, and offered great support throughout the stay. Awesome location and views. Very easy to walk into the city, and lots of outdoor space to relax in. 100% recommend. Do not visit Chateux de Gaure winery though - it was a disaster. Should’ve stuck with Cédric’s recommendation!
